Definitely not my usual read but I loved it! I wish I couldve seen more romance of Zach and her over adam but I get the point of seeing the story unfold. I really enjoyed the main characters but was not much a fan of the randoms all throughout. I did enjoy the beginning as well but I was a little confused until I got farther into the book to be able to see how it really connected. Overall id probably give them book a solid 3.5-3.7 I enjoyed it! Thanks so much for letting me ARC

Okay so I have a mixed review on this.

I did quite enjoy Zach & Daisy’s banter and dynamic but I didn’t feel like I got to know either of them in particular detail. This made it harder for me personally to connect to the story.

Daisy’s job of working in radio was refreshing and a nice change from the classic romance genre where the FMC doesn’t usually get to do a creative job or their job isn’t even mentioned so they just exist in this pseudo world.

I found the pacing was pretty good, especially at the beginning! The chapters felt a little long but that could just be a me thing.

However, I found the plot a little messy at points. I would’ve honestly rated it much higher but there was a trope that reoccurred sooooo many times that took off brownie points in my eyes. I don’t hate this trope entirely I just felt like it was overused and it was the only thing pushing the plot forward.

It would’ve been nicer to see some character development especially for daisy’s character. I felt frustrated with her quite a lot and couldn’t really grasp why she behaved the way she did. I feel like her being ‘in love’ wasn’t enough for me to take her side at any point.

I also felt like the spice scenes were a little onesided on the male’s perspective, it would’ve been cool to have some more female oriented spice just to mix it up.

And finally, the main reason I’ve rated it 2/5 (other than the overuse of the trope that I’m not a fan of) was the ending. It felt so rushed at the ending that I just read the ending and thought this isn’t realistic and why has the pace sped up by 10x? I dont think it needed to be wrapped up in the way it did, or at least not that quickly.

Daisy is in a perfectly friendly loving relationship with her best friend Adam. She misses the fireworks that happened one summer with Zach- the other best friend in their group- but has resigned to it. Now Zach returns....

I enjoy love triangles. I like Daisy, Zach and Adam. I love the chemistry especially. A terrific rom-com.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Daisy always liked Zach since they were kids. When they met again as grown-ups, they still felt attracted to each other. But their lives went different ways, and they didn't express their feelings. Then something unexpected happened.
I thought the book would be full of love and drama, but I didn't expect the characters to be so annoying and for there to be so much betrayal.
I found it funny when Daisy was surprised that Adam left her and was already dating someone else. What did she think he would do? Wait for her while she liked Zach?
I want to thank NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me the book to review honestly.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Can men and women ever just be friends? From childhood Daisy had always felt a pull to Zach. Meeting up again as adults the attraction is still there. Their lives lead in two different directions and feelings get shoved aside. Some things are just meant to be! With a little under 200 pages I thought the author did a great job of telling a very entertaining story. Thank you to NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I’m leaving this review voluntarily
