Like everybody on this planet after reading MRIAV, I was desperate for Reggie’s book, and oh boy, he didn’t disappoint me.
He was somehow even more of everything that I even imagined he would be! And getting to know Amelia and seeing that man soften for her, melted me!!
I love a bit of fake dating and this had all those little fun aspects that come with that.
It was just another really fun time, with amazing characters and a great plot, and it was once again, very funny and had that perfect pinch of spice!
And I’m so glad we’ve had a confirmation of a book 3!

Erm. YES.

Reginald is everyone's newest vampire Book boyfriend. He is just so cute and the epitome of Cinnamon Roll hero. Love the growth of his character from book one to the end of this one.

Amelia however i didn't really like. She comes off as slightly overbearing to be around where it's all always 'oh pity me. Pity me' instead of standing up for herself. And I lost track of the amount of times where she said (and it was implied) that she was a hard worker. Yet never really did any work. Even whilst at the office.

Despite the FMC this book was just so cute and funny and just an overall delight to read.

I didn't love book one but I didn't enjoy it, it was a fun, quick read and this was no different. Reginald was my favourite character in book 1 because he was such a little shit and I loved him in this book too!!! Again it was a fun, quick read and I would read more from the author

A loved the first book, and this is just as brilliant if a story. It's interesting seeing the story for a different angle than other vampires,

Enjoyed this just as much as My Roommate is a Vampire. Such a fun time, great characters who I fell in love with so quickly. Love when a book can make me laugh.

This was just an all round good time truly. I haven't read the first book so didn't have any preconceptions about these characters coming into the story, and fell in love with both MCs very quickly.
I feel Amelia's problems in my SOUL, maybe not the need to find a fake-boyfriend for a wedding but definitely the work-hard and stay focused one - so glad this girl got a whole book about how to take some time for herself!
Reginald was absolutely bonkers as far as MMCs go, he was extravagant and so totally open with Amelia that it took me completely by surprise - no dark brooding over here. This really was the vampire rom-com I desperately needed.
For those who love 'What we do in the Shadows', I highly recommend this for some light-hearted romance and a good laugh <3

My Vampire Plus-One by Jenna Levine is a fun and lighthearted paranormal rom-com that blends fake dating with vampire antics. Amelia, a successful yet single woman, is tired of her family’s nagging about her love life. Enter Reggie, a centuries-old vampire, who agrees to pose as her plus-one for a family wedding. What starts as a fauxmance quickly develops into something deeper as Reggie’s charm and loyalty win Amelia over.

Levine skillfully mixes humor with romance, creating a slow-burn dynamic between the two characters. Reggie, with his endearing quirks and devotion to Amelia, adds depth to the otherwise comedic storyline. The witty epistolary elements, featuring Reggie’s journal entries, bring extra humor and perspective. Perfect for fans of paranormal romances and lighthearted love stories, this is an enjoyable fall read.

This was very cute and fun read. I haven't read the first book (My Rooommate is a Vampire) but that didn't really effect my reading expierience at all! It was nice to read about some very bright and fun vampires, instead of the typical broody and dark ones.
Reggies was exactly what I needed to get me out of my reading slumb!

My Vampire Plus One follows Amelia who is an accountant with a meddling family who is constantly asking about her love life and after a sarcastic remark about having a boyfriend too seriously, she has no choice but to now bring a date to her cousin's wedding despite not actually being in a relationship. Enter Reginald, a vampire fugitive and after the two bump each other one night, Amelia proposes a fake dating scheme to which Reggie agrees with his own interior motive.

While I found My Roommate Is A Vampire enjoyable, this one I found is significantly a lot better. One of my main issues with the first book was that it would've worked better with a dual pov and this time the author listened and implemented it within this book. And let me tell you, it worked so much better. I loved Reginald in this first book, and this made me love even more so I was glad that we got his pov. And maybe it's because I love the faking dating trope too much but this is everything I love in a book, the humour, the slow burn, the forced proximity? Give it all to me. Amelia and Reggie balanced each other so well, I loved their relationship and I hope to see more of them and how their relationship grows in any upcoming books.

The only issue that I had was that we could've learned more about Reggie's history a bit more, like he definitely knows who caused the fire and it has to be the witch, right? But that was only really my issue with this book. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series, like imagine a witch x vampire enemies to lovers book? I would be here for it, if there will even be another book in this series that is. So if you're needing a lighthearted romcom for the spooky season, this is the one for you.

‘My Vampire Plus-One’ by Jenna Levine is a spicy, hilarious supernatural romance following human accountant Amelia and mysterious vampire fugitive Reggie. After bumping into each other quite by chance, Amelia finds herself desperate for a plus-one to join her at her cousin’s wedding and ends up proposing a fake-dating scheme which Reggie delightedly accepts - not least because dating this incredible, beautiful, human woman might throw the vampire gang seeking retribution against him for a crime he didn’t commit off his scent! Thus begins a rom-com story that uses a traditional trope but manages to feel original and fresh.

I loved:
- Amelia’s passion for her job as a tax accountant and for numbers generally
- Reggie’s bullet journal!!! Reading his thoughts was so heartwarming and funny, and I loved his interactions with other journallers on his message board
- The amusing reveal just after 50% of the way through
- The side characters (especially Frederick and Cassie, who seemed fab and have definitely persuaded me to circle back and read their story in Book 1)
- The chemistry between A & R; especially in the snowed-in scene
- Reggie’s words and mannerisms were just SO cute!

The ending was a little bit silly, I thought, and I would have enjoyed more content about Gracie the cat… but those are minor gripes and overall it was a well-constructed story.

Giving this four stars and recommending as a light-hearted read for anyone who loved Twilight as a teen or who wants a fake dating romance read that’s a little bit different.

It was such a funny read and I really enjoyed reading about Reginald and Amelia! This book made me laugh out loud a few times and it was so lovely seeing the fake dating play out. I really liked the bullet journal part, Reginald was so freaking cute and adorable with it!!! The whole plot was really amusing and interesting and I really liked that there wasn’t a third act break up! You could see that Reginald and Amelia had great chemistry and were good for each other!

i adored amelia & reggie so much, both were amazing main characters and the pacing of this book was great. reggie really added the comedy aspect to the book— my favourite part being him playing the twilight soundtrack in the background as he tries to tell amelia that he’s a vampire 😭

i will say the whole “wyatt foundation” plot was fairly obvious, i guessed it from the start and i was surprised that it took amelia so long to get it ??? the most irritating part was that amelia’s family were never called out for how they treated her ??? they never thought about her dietary requirements AND the obvious favouritism when it came to her brother, sam ???

all in all, i really enjoyed this book. i loved seeing the side characters from the other books and don’t get me started on reggie and his bond with amelia’s dad <3

Oh I enjoyed this one! It wasn’t quite as good as the first one but it was still an enjoyable story.
It had me laughing out loud in places. I love a book with mixed media, text messages, journal entries etc. this is a fun easy read.

It made me smile, I love the humour in Levine's stories. Sadly I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first one but I still had a good time.

I read half of this and it just could not hold my attention. I think it's half me so I won't be reviewing it publicly but unfortunately it wasn't for me despite how much i loved the first one.

MY VAMPIRE PLUS ONE
JENNA LEVINE - ARC
Can I just start off by saying I do not remember the first book being this spicy
1 also
never had any desire to get to know Reginald from the first book so this was more than surprising but also worked out really well! I enjoyed getting to know Reginald and his relationships with people. Frederick and Cassie also appeared in this book too which I loved!
The overall storyline for me was a little bit boring and I don't think I would read anymore books in this series if there were to be more after this.
I know this sounds like I disliked it, I didn't I just feel as though my reading taste has changed since I read the first one and I enjoyed that loads I thought I would enjoy this one as much!
I'm sad I didn't.
