Reggie and Amelia have a chance encounter outside a coffee shop, leading to a quirky exchange of favors between them. Amelia, weary of her family's constant disapproval for her unconventional lifestyle and single status, enlists Reggie's help to pose as her fake date for her cousin's wedding. What begins as a fabricated romance gradually evolves into something real amidst a series of comedic misadventures, including a meet-the-parents scenario and a snowed-in cabin stay where Amelia discovers Reggie's surprising secret: he's a vampire.

The narrative is enriched by Reggie's perspective, conveyed through his bullet journal entries and humorous exchanges via texts and emails with various characters. While the intimate scene is present, some readers might find it incongruent with the light-hearted, comedic tone of the story.

Fans of vampire romance, especially those nostalgic for the Twilight series, will find this book a delightful read.
