This one. Omg. Had me guessing the entire time. You think the title gives it away but it’s SOOOOO much more. Very clever writing BUT be aware this is NOT a murder mystery. It’s more a psychological thriller where a murder might happen WELL into the story. If you have a chance to listen to the audio, I highly recommend it. I am very excited to jump into the author’s back catalog.

Not what I guessed was going to happen. I enjoyed the universe created by Sue Watson that I read, “You Me Her” practically in one sitting! It’s a tension filled book with very realistic characters and nonstop action. The story is not complicated, but I couldn’t stop and loved those twists and turns. With thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC. My opinions are my own.

I loved this book and absolutely devoured it. The narrator in this book was absolutely perfect. Rachel, Tom and Chloe are all unbelievably human and that’s part of the reason I read this thriller in just a couple of days. A true psychological thriller, this is one I’ll be recommending. Thank you to NetGalley, Sue Watson and Bookouture for the opportunity to receive an ARC of this book.

Thank you very much to NetGalley for this ARC in Audio format of You, Me, Her By Sue Watson in exchange of an honest review.

This book ticked all the boxes required for a psychological thriller including a compelling protagonist which allowed myself as the reader to really emphasise with Rebecca throughout her journey/story.
I felt all the characters were superbly written and the author really captured the essence and individuality of each one.

There is nothing better when reading a book and you have that gasp out loud moment, which happened on more than one occasion while keeping me guessing right up to the end.

I felt this was appropriately paced with suspense and tension and I enjoyed the pending mystery of Rebecca’s past in the background as the story developed.

I was not familiar with the narrator before this but I will absolutely be looking out for more by Tamsin Kennard in the future as this was delivered so naturally with fantastic voice tone to create the perfect emotion for the characters.

"You, Me, Her" by Sue Watson is an exciting thriller. If you like action filled thrillers, check out this one.

Rachel finally joins her handsome husband, Tom, at the big fancy home they have purchased with her inheritance money. He's been refinishing the house for months while she has been in another town. They live in Cornwall, England, now. They have a four year old son named Sam.

On the first night that she is home, a woman lets herself in. Hmm! The woman is Chloe, and she seems overly friendly. Tom later tells Rachel that Chloe is dangerous.

Tom has a secret for Rachel that he's been building behind the garden wall. She is horrified when he shows her. This is just the start! This is the only thriller I've had a nightmare about just after reading it.

Twisty, suspenseful, intriguing. My three favorite things! Sue Watson always delivers. Can't wait for her next one!

Just finished this audio book - it took me until the last five minutes to work out who 'her' was. And when I did it was a real 'wow' moment. There were bits of this audiobook that really annoyed me (the son's whiny voice springs to mind) and there were aspects didn't seem real to me (Rachel seemed incredibly naive and unquestioning; there were some real issues with the way the son spoke like a baby when he was supposed to be 4, and the fact that he had apparently been born in 2020 during the pandemic and had never been to nursery or had any friends to play with before he was 4). Overall, though I thought this was a gripping story, lots for the reader to question - and at the heart of it all, the biggest question was who was ever really telling the truth to Rachel?
Thanks to Netgalley for offering me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a solid thriller! Definitely had an ending I never could have predicted, a great listen if you are looking for a story to keep you on your toes

This was only my second audiobook but I thoroughly enjoyed! There were lots of twists and turns and it kept me guessing throughout the way, definitely wasn’t what I expected by the end! I was hooked from the start and wanted to listen on however, it was quite a long one and I did feel around the middle it was slightly slow. I wonder if i would have felt the same if I read the book rather than listened. Overall I have rated this a 4 and I would recommend it to a friend!

4/5 ⭐️ I enjoyed the book and at the same time I didn’t. For psychological thrillers, I enjoy being thrown off, and I knew who the “her” was early on. I also 100% cringe when the main character is so naïve. I kept yelling in my head “really Rachel the signs are all there, they’re making you sound crazy”. But overall it was a quick and enjoyable read.

Rachel loses her father and is left with a generous inheritance. Her husband Tom, buys a home for Rachel and their son Sam and they move in almost a year after renovations are complete including incorporating a pool when in fact, Rachel has a life fear of water. There is a lot of gaslighting and various moments that her husband isn’t who he says he is. But again the cringe moments come in and Rachel ignores the obvious facts around her. For some the endings might have a good twist, but unfortunately, I knew early on and it didn’t give me that same reaction but to others. I hope you enjoy this book a lot more because it is a good read!

I was able to get an advanced copy of both book and the audiobook and truly enjoyed both and my first time listening to narrator Tamsin Kennard and look forward to listening to many more!

Sue Watson’s done it again. A masterpiece writer at her best. This, her latest psychological thriller, has several unreliable & suspicious characters. Like Rachel, I found several untrustworthy people in her life & then spied others as I read more! Filled with so many twists, Rachel’s world turned upside down. I couldn’t put this one down!

As soon as I heard the lovely voice of Tamsin Kennard, I settled in & couldn’t wait to have her read me a book I knew would be even better with her narrating it.

Thank you, Sue Watson, Bookouture, & netgalley for my audiobook! All opinions are my own.

Oh all the lies, deception and a stalker thrown into 1 great read! Rachel and Tom move out of the city using her inheritance to a dream home with a pool. Rachel begins having strange conversations and encounters with a lady at her son’s nursery school. This is only the “tip of the iceberg” of all the twists in this story. A fantastic read and an enjoyable audiobook!!

Disappointing. Rachel moves from Manchester to Cornwall for the house of her dreams. From the second she enters the house the plot becomes predictable. She constantly dismisses red flags and nobody can possibly be THAT naive. I spent most of my time shouting he's lying or she's lying or open your eyes at the narrator of the audiobook.
I really wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately it was a DNF for me!

Slow start which didn't really set the scene to start with but got better as the book went on I did guess the ending though well before the finish but all in all it was a good audio listen

This was my first book by Sue Watson. I enjoyed the story but found it a bit drawn out at times and Rachel drove me a bit potty – I was yelling at her to wake up & stop being so blind! It was however, a great plot with some twists, and while I had it all figured out before the end, I still enjoyed the journey. Despite finding some characters quite annoying, I could relate to each of them.
The narration was great and each character had a voice of their own.
All in all, a great book for a winters day in front of the fire with a hot cocoa.

Yep, Sue Watson is definitely on form! This audiobook of her latest psychological thriller is epic!! I was gripped from page 1 and enjoyed plot twists and turns to the very last chapter (all of which were superbly narrated in the gratifying dulcet notes of Tamsin Kennard).

The story is that of Rachel, who, along with young son, Sam. relocates her Manchester life to a dream location in the south coast. Husband Tom, has lovingly developed the couple's dream home, so all Rachel has to do is move in and enjoy her new life. We soon learn that Rachel has a huge fear of water, and is, as such, utterly incredulous when Tom reveals a swimming pool in their garden!! Add into the mix Chloe, the estate agent, who seems a little too comfortable letting herself into the property, and the knowledge that by the end of the novel someone will experience death by drowning in said swimming pool, and we have all the elements of a stunningly dark, but utterly listenable audiobook!!

This is such a great story and I have yet to listen to anything narrated by Tamsin Kennard that isn't utterly worthy of this genre. She once again does this book justice.

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Rachel and Tom have recently moved to Cornwall into a beautiful new home which was built with their inheritance money. But not long after Rachel moves in, a mysterious young woman named Chloe begins coming around regularly seeming all too familiar with the property and her life. As Rachel begins to get to know Chloe more, she begins to discover that Chloe may not be all she seems to be. Are she and her family in danger due to this person or is there something else going on? And what is with Rachel's fear of the backyard swimming pool?

I enjoyed this mystery for the most part. I felt that it lulled a bit in the middle. It took too long to find out the answer to a major plot point in the story, and I didn't feel it was very well explained after waiting so long. The final twist also didn't make a lot of sense to me which was disappointing. But this was still a fun read! I listened to this one on audio which was well done.

Tom and Rachel Frazer and their 4-year-old son, Sam, have just moved into their new home off the coast of Cornwell. Tom has spent months renovating the house while Rachel and Sam were in Manchester. They can afford this due to an inheritance from Rachel’s father. Tom was made redundant from his job as a banker, and Rachel works as a journalist.

On their first night together, a woman named Chloe lets herself into the house and walks in on them together. Tom says she works for the estate agents from which they purchased their home. He also admits that he knew her from the former banking firm he left. Although she seems lovely to Rachel, Tom claims she’s dangerous and to stay away from her. What about these two? It takes Rachel a while to suspect something is up— but what and why did Tom want to make this move?

The next day, Tom takes his son Sam to his new nursery—school. But the piece of resistance was the surprise Tom presented her with in their garden, which sent her spiralling back to the nightmare of her past. To Rachel’s utter horror, it was a swimming pool. Why would he do that to her?

Tom receives a chance for a two-week job in Scotland, and Rachel will look for journalist jobs. But Rachel is reluctant to see him go as she feels strange and unsettled about the house as if something isn’t right.

More sinister things happen, things appear, then disappear. Rachel begins to see people in her home, and she believes she knows who is behind all of this, but her accusations bring censure from others. However, until a genuinely frightening event happens, Rachel realizes who is behind these nasty things. Even figuring that out doesn’t mean she knows who is responsible. Nothing is as it seems. Many twists and turns kept me wanting to know what would happen next. That kept me invested and turning those pages late into the night.

I often screamed at Rachel to wake up and get a clue— your husband isn’t who you think he is! I found Rachel quite frustrating to read, especially her unwavering trust and devotion in her husband despite knowing he had already gone behind her about the swimming pool. I was desperate for her to find out the truth.
One little thing bothered me: I found the author dragged out and was repetitive of Rachel’s fear. It didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment. I found Chloe not believable as an antagonist; she was OTT and annoying, needy, and whiney. I found Tom to be a rather odd and creepy character who didn't like any of Rebecca’s friends, none more so than her closest friend, Rosa, who is a nurse practitioner and had been Rebecca's best friend since nursing her father through his illness. Rosa finds Tom rude, and there seems to be no love lost between the two most influential people in Rachel’s life.
I wasn’t expecting the shocking twist at the end. It was my first time reading Sue Watson, and I look forward to reading more of her books. It was my first time listening to Tamsin Kennard as a narrator; she did a fantastic job of emoting the whiny personalities of many of the characters and made the atmosphere vivid and realistic.
I look forward to listening to more of Tamsin Kennard.

What was that ending? I am still thinking about it two days after finishing the book... Before the final plot twist, I was thinking that the book was really predictable but then my jaw dropped, I need more answers. Normally I like open endings but with this one I would like a little bit of an explanation. Looking back I can remember some little hints for what was to come, which I can only reflect on now that I finished the book and the big reveal happened, someone more attentive can predict it.

Overall the book was really good, it maintained my attention the whole time because there was always something happening. At some points I was scared to listen to it at night as the narrator was so good when narrating the most suspenseful parts. I liked the main character and I felt for her because it was obvious that something was happening and that she wasn't crazy and would like to know what happens next, I need more of her life.
