This story was well paced and even though I knew I still questioned myself at times because the author always gave a little then covered her tracks well.
Great suspense and kept me wanting to listen more.

WOW!!! The author has an incredible gift of writing psychological thrillers…I was just blown away by everything in this book and need to read more by this author. Needless to say I am an instant huge fan!

This is the first time I've read Sue Watson but it will not be my last. Honestly, I planned to listen to a history novel on NetGalley. However, I was approved for this and started to download it for later this week and was sucked right into this story.

The main character of this tale is Rachel. She's a bit socially awkward, passive aggressive and a people pleaser. I assume this in response to her former trauma. I honestly was annoyed with her much of the time. However, I have CPTSD and I'm aware of how trauma breeds personality quirks. So I tried to be patient. I'm glad I did.

Rachel is a journalist, she's married to Tom who is a contract banker and they have a 4 yr old son, Sam, together. The family has recently relocated from Manchester to a house that the couple purchased and refurbished in a more rural area of the Cornish Coast. Rachel has been reluctant to move but trusts Tom when her Inheritance from her late father allows them to buy a dream house. The house is outrageously expensive plus they've sunk all of the inherited money into it in upgrades. The timing is bad because Tom was recently downsized and Rachel doesn't earn much as a journalist and will now be starting over without her trusty contacts.

Rachel has a traumatized and troubled past. As the story unfolds the reader is given glimpses of what happened to Rachel before she met Tom. Rachel's trauma has caused her to have a breakdown. She was in a very bad place when she met Tom. He rescued her, healed her and eventually they married.
Rachel isn't very social to begin with and is leaving her best friend, Rosa, in this move. So when she connects with Chloe while she is picking up Sam from preschool, she's excited at how quickly they click. Soon they're having lunch, getting together for coffee, wine or shopping and playdates with the kids. Then everything takes a much more sinister turn.
This explores thalassophobia, a fear of deep water from swimming pools to lakes, rivers, streams and oceans. So if this is frightening to a potential reader do be aware there's multiple described scenes vividly detailing fear of deep water.
This is creepy as much as it is mysterious. The reveals were extremely well done. I was repeatedly unsure who to trust and never sure how reliable of a narrator Rachel was. I did guess some of the reveals but they were satisfyingly played anyway.

Tamsin Kennard is the narrator for this thriller audiobook. I'm pretty sure I've listened to another thriller she has narrated. Her voice conveys emotions well. She also is excellent at speaking in dedicated tones when narrating the other characters in the story. This really helps to keep separate who said what to whom with an audiobook. I'll definitely look for other novels she's narrated.

This is truly a psychological thriller from the mind of Sue Watson. A woman moves into her new house, upgraded and decorated by her husband several months before her arrival. While she and her son settle in, she begins to wonder about some of her husband’s motives. She is quickly befriended by a local with a history of being a gossip. While her husband tells her to stay away from this “crazy” woman, she chooses her own way.

This book had a terrifying stalking topic that really embraced all of the emotions and fears associated with being stalked. The paranoia, second guessing and doubt are all physically tangible while reading each chapter. I found this story to be enjoyable and would recommend to others.

I also listened to the audiobook version and found the narrator to be easy to listen to. It is with a British accent as appropriate for the location/setting.

Well written, however I did find this book a bit predictable. I figured out the major twist quite early on in my reading. Worth a listen.

Who’s the victim and who’s the manipulating villain? Rachel has the perfect life or does she? Her father has passed and she’s received an inheritance. Tom has left to prepare a home for the family or has he? This book is the perfect thriller. I quickly became invested in the characters and through for a moment I had it all figured it out only to find I had it all wrong.

I hated Tom immediately. He is such a loser. Who installs a pool without consulting your spouse? Rachel is so obsessed too. It is ridiculous.
Meanwhile, Rachel is out here not even attempting to get to know the other women around her, except the one who pushes her way right in.
Stop judging the other moms. Stop judging the "crazy" girl too. Maybe you can do better.
I would have left the second I saw a pool. I would just get back in my car with my child and leave. Why does she trust her husband so completely?
Anyway, I loved this so much.
The narration is perfect because Tamsin Kennard is the best! I can't get enough of her.
The ending was wonderful!

Absolutely gripping psychological thriller with unexpected twist & highlighted by the great narration.

I do not rate many books 5 stars, but You Me Her got a solid 5 from me. I have only read a few of Sue Watsonś books, but after this one, I will be adding more to my TBR pile! I listened to this on audio and liked everything about this book, including the narrator.

This has all the best of a high intensity thriller, betrayal, lies, secrets and a fast pace. Rachel is haunted by her past, but now seems to have
what some would think is the best in life with a husband and son. As with most things, her life is not what it seems. What haunts her, and when will things turn from a dream to a nightmare in her life?

I recently completed "You, Me, Her," a gripping psychological thriller by this well-known author. The book met my expectations with its addictive and absorbing storyline, filled with unexpected plot twists and complex characters. I was so engrossed in the narrative that I finished the book within 24 hours.

The audiobook narration was a revelation, skilfully bringing the story to life. The narrator's tone was perfectly calibrated, effectively enhancing the tension and drama as the dual timeline unfolded. The conclusion was masterfully executed, keeping me guessing until the very end.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, some parts were a little predictable for my preferences, hence the four star rating. Nevertheless, this minor issue didn't diminish my enjoyment of the story.

I wholeheartedly recommend "You, Me, Her" to fans of this genre or author in any format.

After months apart, Rachel and their son Sam reunite with Tom in their newly renovated home

The suspense is picked up quickly when overly friendly estate agent Chloe lets herself in during their first romantic night together - awkward

Although the pace was steady, I did get tired of Rachel’s constant need to justify her husband’s actions to herself. It felt like she was gaslighting herself. Don’t get me wrong, her husband gaslit her too but I couldn’t work out who was worse

The writing flowed and this was an easy page turner. The audio was nicely narrated which enhanced my enjoyment

Although this was predictable, I did enjoy the climax - in fact the pace and drama was thrilling and only wish there had been more of that

The toxic new friend who over steps the mark and the husband you want to trust- who do you believe?

Genuinely hooked with its twists and turns down to the last second. Such a good pace and plot with some heart pumping stressy/ creepy bits when it all starts to unravel. This is my first book from this author and will definitely be adding many more to my TBR

I just finished listening to You, Me, Her by Sue Watson, narrated by Tamsin Kennard. Ms. Kennard does an excellent job narrating the book, and she is very easy to understand.

Tom and Rachel purchase a home, which needs to be renovated. While Tom works on the home, Rachel stays back with her son, Sam, in their old flat. Tom has built a swimming pool at the new home, something that bothers Rachel deeply, as she does not know how to swim, and she had a traumatic past with water. When Rachel and Sam finally move into their new, "dream" home, Rachel strikes up a friendship with Chloe, a woman that Tom deems "dangerous." Weird things begin happening. Rachel's shirt goes missing. An item from Rachel's past is mysteriously delivered to their home. Chloe is not who she said she was. Tom is behaving sketchily. Other school moms talk about Rachel behind her back.

So. Much. Is. Happening.

I guessed it before the end, however a few times, I did second guess myself. It is not cut and dry and I enjoyed the couple turns during the book.

Rachel has some past trauma that still impacts her. Her father dies and she and her husband Tom buy a fixer upper with her inheritance. Tom lives in the new large house for months before Rachel and their son come to live there. Some gaslighting, lots of guessing, the book will keep you on your toes figuring it out.

I enjoyed Tamsin Kennard's narration.

This was an entertaining listen!

It wasn’t that twisty, but it was most certainly thrilling! The ending was a nice twist, although expected. It keeps you engaged throughout.

I listened at 2.0x and it was the perfect speed for me. The narrator was great and showed so much emotion.

All in all, it was a good story and a good listen!

I loved this audiobook! Narrator did a really good job. The book is well written and there were quite a few surprises and unexpected twists. I did not expect so many things that happened in this book. The characters were interesting and likable with the exception of Tom. I never cared for Tom throughout the whole book. But there always has to be that one character you aren't going to like.
Perfect psychological/domestic thriller.

Wow what a thrilling ride and page turner in ‘You Me Her’ by Sue Watson! Rachel (Me) is haunted by her past and needs to figure out how to push through and move on in life. She becomes friends with Chloe (Her) even though her husband Tom (You) warns Rachel to stay away from Chloe. But she can’t, as this is her friend she has made so far in their new town. Great character build with each of the main characters. There is just enough information you need to follow along with Rachel to figure out who is lying and who is going to die?! I highly recommend reading or listening to the audiobook. The narrator, Tamsin Kennard did a wonderful job being involved with the story.

I did enjoy the narrator for the audiobook.

The story , however , I found to be repetitive and simplistic.

The main female character was beyond dense and had no common sense. No likable characters.

A decent premise but badly executed. Twist not all that shocking.

I loved the twists in this book. The characters were well developed and I felt the connection to the main character and the struggles she endured. If you’re a thriller junkie you’ll probably guess the ending but it was still a great read.

Three people. One marriage. One murder.

I enjoyed this thriller/murder story. While it didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat, I thought the story was very well thought out and the characters had a great background! It did keep me guessing who was really telling the truth.

Rachel moves from Manchester to Cornwall to start a new life with her husband, Tom, and son, Sam. While there she befriends Chloe, who turns her life from peaceful to anything but. Who is the real problem?
I think this will be an instant hit
