When her cousin finds herself in trouble for having gone for some fresh air the night her engagement is to be announced Phoebe tells everyone is was her out there with the cad. The cousin goes on to get married and takes Phoebe into her home. They are invited to a week long party at an earl's home. Alex is taken with her right away and can't think of anything but Phoebe. But she has her future all set on writing and living alone. Is that really what she wants? Maybe not.

Yet another great book from the amazing author. I was drawn into this story right away and didn’t want to put it down. I read it in two days.
