When the worlds of words, number and science collide - this is what you get when you delve into the latest collection from the poetic genius that is John Agard. Agard shows his readers how these worlds bounce off each other in an illuminating, mind-spinning celebration of curiousity.

I loved the imaginative use of white space and the rich variation of artwork from Satoshi Kitamura.

Consisting of three main sections, each of which are linked via themes or characters (or both), this is a collection of poems about numbers, science, life, and nature.

The illustrations are adorable, and the cover gives a good idea about the style.

I did not expect this to be this good. My favourite section is the first one, with Einstein (there’s a lovely twist there) and my child’s favourite is, all of the poems. of course.

We will read more by this author and follow the illustrator’s work.
