I really like the idea of turning a biography into a comic book. Especially if that biography contains a lot of interesting information about film making.

I love The Godfather. I watched it when I was 16 and then my father gave me his old copy of the book to read. Maybe it wasn't the most fitting read for a young girl, but fifteen years later I still have it. So, obviously I really enjoyed reading the backstory of making these films. But I have to admit sometimes I got confused since the narration was switching between films backstory and the actual story from the films.

I'm also not sure about the first-person perspective for the text. I understand that should make us feel closer to Coppola but since it's not actually written by him, it made me feel uncomfortable.

I really enjoyed the art style of Don Coppola. It changes depending on the film discussed but in a way that's not distracting.

Overall, it's a fascinating form of a biography/film-making story that could be written in a slightly different way. And it made me even more excited to see Megalopolis.

I really enjoyed this graphic novel. I found it to be a unique way to look at someone who’s name is famous in Hollywood whether you like his movies or not. The fact the medium used is a comic it allows for easier understanding and a great introduction for new and old fans alike. As someone who enjoys movies and comics this was brilliant.

Firstly, I highly recommend this graphic novel to the fans of The Godfather films, books and Francis Ford Coppola.

I was a bit familiar with the creator’s work from the Italian editions, and was looking forward to reading this book.

As someone who deems themselves knowledgeable in cinema and The Godfather film and book series, as well the Coppolas, this was a solid 4 stars for me.

For the newbies to any of the above, this is highly engaging and informative. 5 stars.
