I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. Another Fiona book based on Halloween. Kind of over the Fiona books.
My son enjoyed this story. i loved reading it with him. It was a perfect Halloween book to get you ready for the holiday. The photos are cute and my son loved looking at them. Highly recommend to other parents to get for their little ones to read or to read with them
I have read a couple of books on Fiona now and they never disappoint!
I loved the story in this book, it will be great to read over Halloween, and it has the most wonderful illustrations.
I loved the illustrations in this book, they bring Fiona and her friends at the Zoo to life.
The book was well written and easy to follow - it is a must for any young animal lovers and those who also love Halloween
It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!
I love the Fiona books! Happy Halloween sees Fiona and Fritz getting ready for trick-or-treating but little Fritz is afraid of all the strange noises they hear along the way - but it's just the other zoo animals getting ready for the big night too! I was amused by the animals' costume choices.
I absolutely cannot get enough of the Fiona books. They are always so sweet in every way. The illustrations are beautiful, Fiona is sweet and perfect and the the story is always uplifting. This edition is no different. The perfect addition to spooky season reading lists.
This is such a cute book with all the zoo animals dressing up and Fiona getting to see them all as she trick or treats.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.
Join Fiona the hippo as she takes her little brother, Fritz, out for his first Halloween. The pair discover all Halloween has to offer two little hippos, including the strange and scary sounds.
I read this book to my 3 little girls and all of them loved it! I enjoyed the story development and the journey through the zoo. My girls enjoyed hearing about Fiona and Fritz and their fun time trick or treating.
This is absolutely the cutest book. As a person from the Cincinnati area I have watched Fiona since the beginning and now Fritz as well. I love these books so much and this one is no different!!!! My kiddos and I love Halloween and the artwork and story of this book was wonderful. My youngest has had me reread it a few times already!!!! Can't wait to see Fiona and Fritz at the zoo this Halloween!
Happy Halloween, Fiona by Zondervan is a cute Halloween story for children. Fiona takes her little brother trick or treating. Her little brother is scared of all the sounds but by the time the evening is over he thinks Halloween is okay because he gets lots of Candy.
Thank you NetGalley @netgalley and Zondervan @zonderkidz for this e-book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a beautifully written and illustrated book. It gave me all the classic 90s Halloween feelings with the imagery. The story goes through the fear of the unknown and how to be brave and encourage others. This is a great read for fall and Halloween. My kids loved it and they're ages 3 and 8. This is a very encouraging story and I highly recommend it. It was just published 8/6/2024 just on time for this year's fall season.

My thoughts:
🤔 In this installment of the Fiona series, Fiona heads out for some trick-or-treating fun with her little brother, Fritz, who is afraid.
🤔 This is a gentle, not-too-spooky Halloween story. I appreciate how Fiona helps encourage Fritz in a kind and respectful way.
🤔 The illustrations are beautiful and depict the zoo and its animals at Halloween in a very fun way. (I, personally, love the tiger in costume illustration. I think kids will get a giggle out of that one!)
Who is going to love it? Children who love….

So cute! My 20 month old son just LOVES Fiona. He enjoyed me reading him this one, despite not having a full grasp of Halloween and that the ARC of the book was on my phone, which isn’t normal for us! The story may have gone on a little long for his attention span, but like I said, he loves Fiona and tried his best to hang in. I think this book would be perfect for 3+ and especially for toddlers and elementary school kids with younger or older siblings. My son loved baby Fritz and his experience of his first Halloween. I enjoyed how kind Fiona and the other animals were to Fritz, and how in the end Fritz had gained the confidence to help someone else.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. I was not asked to leave a positive review. My opinions are my own.
I love the Fiona books. There’s something about the innocence of this hippo and now her baby brother. This is Halloween so we get to see all the animals dressed up in their costumes and learn about the zoo at night. This book is just a lot of fun, and this one probably has my favorite illustrations of all the Fiona books: the tiger and the bunny costume.
Excited about Halloween, Fiona and Fritz get ready for a festive night. Fiona patiently explains to her brother about the sounds he hears that scare him. A nice variety of zoo animals are introduced as the siblings go trick or treating. Kind Fritz, passing along the lessons he learned from Fiona, recognizes fear in a fellow animal and explains a scary sound.
With a sweet story and wonderful illustrations, this is an excellent addition for fall-themed collections. I will be recommending.
Thank you to Zonderkidz-Books, Zondervan and NetGalley for this ARC.
Happy Halloween, Fiona follows Fiona and her brother Fritz as they get ready for Halloween at the zoo. The illustrations are colorful and full of different animals in Halloween costumes. The story is so sweet as Fiona helps Fritz overcome his fears at the scary sounds he hears throughout the zoo. A perfect addition to your Halloween book collection.

This is a sweet wonderfully illustrated Halloween book. My four year Grandson loves this Halloween story. We read it four times!
My son LOVES all of the Fiona stories. We enjoy spending time together to read these. Another job well done!
This was absolutely adorable and my whole family loved it!!! Thanks to NetGalley and Zonderkidz for a chance to read this before release. The illustrations are so detailed and beautiful! They really brought the story to light. It was such a cute and relatable story about being scared of big noises and new things on Halloween night. I can’t wait to add this to my collection when it releases.

Fiona teaches Fritz about Halloween. He is scared of all the night sounds, so Fiona tells him what makes each sound so he isn’t frightened.

I adore this story about Halloween at the zoo. Big sister and little brother are dressed up and on their way to filling their bags with candy!
I like that Fiona is so kind and helpful when her brother is scared and how she teaches him about Halloween.
I think the illustrations are beautiful! They represent the zoo and its animals in such a fun way.
💕Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing this ebook for me to read and review.
I was initially drawn into this book based on the art on the front cover and by the story of Fiona. My class followed the story of Fiona and we love her. Knowing that there is a connection to her made this book even better! The art for this book is amazing! I really enjoyed the story itself and the relationship Fiona has with her little brother. She tries to share her love and excitement for Halloween but it just seems to scare Fritz. They go trick or treating and get to experience all of the sounds of the night and of Halloween. This would be a great book to use for sound effects and onomatopoeia words. Beautiful story and beautiful art!
