This book was darling! I love the message it sent. I also loved the inclusion of diversity and even a character in a wheelchair. Very nice to see. The illustrations were very sweet.

This cute little book tells the story of a witch who wants to be kind rather than wicked. The other witches try to convince her to help them with a naughty trick, but she shows them that they can get better results by being kind

There were a couple of places where I wasn't sure in which order to read the text, but otherwise this is a great book that kids will enjoy.

Cute little story of a witch that just can't be bad. This would be a fun addition to Halloween story times. I like how they blame little mishaps like a missing sock on the wickedness of witches.

What a fun story that’s not just for Halloween in which we discover maybe not all witches are wicked.

This was a great story which you could read with your child or they could read independently.

The illustrations throughout were brilliant and really set the scene perfectly.

This is a perfect Halloween book for children who don’t like scary or spooky Halloween books. Although most witches are bad, there is a little witch who is kind and good. There are a lot of discussions this book could generate about kindness, stereotyping, courage, and being yourself.

I loved the illustrations. They are adorable, whimsical and engaging. This is a great book for younger children!

This book made me laugh so much.

It’s such a lighthearted story about a kind, little, witch who isn’t like the other witches who are often cruel!

I would recommend this book to those with younger children.

Great read!

There's always that one witch right? The one who doesn't want to be nasty and the cliched 'wicked witch of the west'. That's exactly the premise for this book. The littlest witch does not want to be mean, so her mean witch friends try to convince her otherwise. She of course does not have the appetite for nastiness, so she decides she needs to show them her way.....that kindness always wins ;) Very cute and a good lesson for kids.

Short and cliché but is cute and important. Teaches that kindness prevails no matter what situation you're in. Establishes the concept of doing good acts get their just rewards. Bubbly illustrations. Breezy prose that is easily comprehended. Stands up against peer pressure and encourages staying true to yourself. Gentle as if holding hands with a cloud of marshmallows. Brings forth glee and reflective amusement. Recommended for those scouring for a light yet impactful story. Overall, a good read.

This story is darling! I love the illustrations, the message of the importance of kindness and standing up to peer pressure, and the creative ways in which the author makes the witches wicked (such as multiplying the amount of broccoli on a child's plate). Although this would be a fun book to read aloud at Halloween, I think this book works year round. Fun addition to any library!

Beautifully illustrated book about little witches who love to cause mischief. However, one of the little witches prefers
to be nice and treat others well. The little witch, through her actions, is able to convince the others that it is much better
to be kind and helpful. Teaches one to stand up for what one feels is right and not follow the group.

What a cute story for Halloween to read to younger children. This is the story of a kind witch and a group of trouble making witches all of whom like marshmallows. The kind witch tries to teach the other witches that you can be kind and still get what you want. The illustrations are cute and very fitting to the story. I recommend this for the Halloween library.

Everyone knows witches are wicked through and through . . . Unless they choose kindness instead! Overflowing with whimsy, humor, and lyrical flow, “The Not So Wicked Witch” is sure to delight readers with cackles and cheer.

This book makes for the perfect autumn read as your Littles consider what fun they want to get up to with costumes, candy, and kindness! We enjoyed this book “through and through!”

The page spreads in this book were a bit overwhelming. Some pages are split into 3-4 sets of different illustrations that can make it hard to break down.

This was a fun cute little picture book about witches and their wickedness or the lack of it for our main character. I am a big fan of Bethan Stevens's picture books. Her stories always make me giggle and the illustrations are very animated and joyful.

A fun read for the little ones!

An amazing book:
- funny
- sweet
- easy to read aloud to children
- had the line of quirkiness that children love
Most of all it was clever!

I think that the overall message of this book is that kindness is better than wickedness and that’s definitely something I want my children to know. I think that some of the other aspects of the story could be improved to better convey that message. The illustrations of the mean little witches are a bit frightening and some of the things that they do are also frightening. For example, suggesting that a witch caused you to hurt yourself or lose something. Also, suggesting that the witches wanted to mess with a cake to make children fall asleep isn’t something I want my kids to even think about. I also noticed that the book goes back and forth with past and present tense. When I read to my children, I read it as something that already happened. The kind little witch is cute and sweet.
Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read and review this title.
