A witchy story with some good morale lessons. This book highlights the value of kindness and serves as a gentle reminder to not succumb to the power of peer pressure.
And I loved the ending.
A very fun read for all little witchlings out there. The kids enjoyed the story and illustrations and loved the mischievous behaviours
In a world of wicked witches, the littlest witch is kind and helpful.
The illustrations are lovely, with lots of diversity represented. A great story with a message of kindness.

Adorable! And the perfect book to read to children who enjoy being mischievous a little bit too much! I found this one to be entertaining and educational, both at the same time. It’s message of kindness, acceptance, tolerance and patience is one that children need to hear. Told in this way, the message comes across in a kind and gentle way. A terrific addition to any bookshelf.
This story is filled with spooky witches and the magical world of wickedness and kindness. This is a book intended for children and I definitely can see them absolutely enjoying this book - especially closer to the spooky season.
I loved the witchy aesthetic of this story, while it also took on the meaning on how to be kind to others. The illustrations were spectacular and I can see this being the perfect addition for a home library!

This is a cute story about being good to others with a really pretty witchy aesthetic to it. I think the lesson of this book it's really valuable for kids but i do think that, as an adult, it's too on the nose.
Still this is a perfect book to read to little ones before bed! And the pictures are also really good.

The Not-So-Wicked Witch follows a small witch, who struggles to be mean like the rest of the little witches. I wanted a little bit more from the prose, but the illustrations were adorable and definitely captured the imagination! I did really love the sweet ending!
Thank you to Bethan Stevens, NetGalley, and Quarto Publishing Group for the chance to review
This was a sweet little picture book with a very important message, be kind. The littlest Witch loves to be kind to everyone, she never participates in the other witches' wickedness because she doesn't like it. Through the story, she shows her kindness and teaches her friends how being kind feels much better than being wicked. I think this is great for young kids, especially those in school. It can help teach children they can stand up to their friends who are being mean or bullying others. Being the kind person you are is so important and doesn't go unnoticed.
I really like the illustrations, they are really well done for this story.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of The Not-So-Wicked Witch by Bethan Stevens. This is the perfect Halloween read aloud for children who are getting ready to trick or treat. It has beautiful illustrations and the message is clear…. don’t judge a book by its cover, and kindness always wins.
This was a really fun and cute story with a good message behind it. Me and my daughter love books with witches so it was real treat and the pictures where great to.
What an adorable book! I loved the message of kindness triumphing over wickedness, the illustrations, and the unique take on witches. Loved the idea that all of life’s little inconveniences are actually naughty witches being mischievous. The not-so-wicked witch was so sweet, especially when she was trying to get potion ingredients. Gosh this was a cute book, great for early grades and preschoolers.
What an adorable children’s story. I am a huge fan of halloween related picture books and The Not So Wicked Witch really takes the “CAKE” here. The pictures are colorful and engaging and the story is heart warming and sweet. This story can be read year around. At its core The Not So Wicked Witch has a virtuous lesson about being kind and doing good in the face of adversity. It encourages going against the tide to do what’s right. This story is great for children and fun for parents as well.
I received an electronic ARC from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books through NetGalley.
The little witches all want to be as wicked as possible. They work hard to do this - except for the littlest witch. She doesn't like being wicked. Readers see how she moves through life showing kindness. When she spoils their plot to steal all the marshmallows from a birthday party, the other witches discover the benefits of being kind. A sweet message about being kind and supportive of others. The illustrations are fun to study and capture the characters' moods.
A beautifully illustrated book with witches and their pranks. Pick this book for a fun and interesting read. It is about being kind and helpful and not just being wicked all the times!!!
You will love the party of witches.
My child and I enjoy reading books where a character is transformative and challenges the status quo when it is wrong, or does not meet all expectations.
This is fun, funny, and cute.
A great book for younger children.
Cute with a touch of eye of newt!
A delightful story that adults will love to read to little ones, children will learn how to be kind amidst the pressure to be naughty.
Filled with charming illustrations, the story isn’t just for Halloween despite the witches.
Perfect for any home library or classroom to teach the importance of being kind and being yourself.

A cute little story about a witch who doesn't want to be wicked unlike the rest of her clan. It's light and fun, with adorable illustrations.
I wanted to like this more than I did but it was cute! The illustrations were really cute and it had a good message. I felt like more could have been done with the storyline to make it more interesting.
This book is super cute! My daughter and I enjoyed reading it together and it has such a great lesson. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.
I read this book through Negalley. What a cute book that teaches a good lesson and gives good reason to children why things happen. Of course it is just for fun. I also enjoyed the diversity of children at the birthday party. Will be recommending and buying to give as gifts.
