I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I fun picture book about Pip and his adventures and stepping out of his comfort zone.
A very good story and will purchase a physical copy of this! Love Pip and could definitely relate to how he is behaving in the story. The illustrations were also lovely and were a perfect fit to the story!
Another fun read aloud. Make sure you take a good look at the pictures, they are cute and have so many things to look at.
A lovely picture book with a great setting and message. The narrative made me ask a few questions; i.e why had he not seen the leaves before but I don't think this would bother little ones. The illustrations, especially the front cover were lovely.
Pip's Adventure is a perfect book to encourage your child to try new things, even if they're scary, and nurture their curiosity. Pip has his routines and thrives in them, but sometimes feels lonely. When he encounters something different, he learns that sometimes it's worth stepping outside of his comfort zone and that great things are out there. My kid is very cautious and resistant to trying things that scare him, but Pip's Adventure is a great way to encourage him that we can do scary things and that it's worth it to try. Highly recommend!
Thanks to Quarto Publishing Group, Frances Lincoln Children's Books, and Netgalley for eARC in exchange for an honest review.
We absolutely loved this adorable story about little Pip and his adventure. Pip has everything he needs in his valley until one day when an ordinary leaf flies into his window. To him it was something amazing, something he had never seen before. He wanted to know if there were more amazing things where the leaf came from. He sets out to find out and you're in for an adventure of discovery along with Pip.
This was perfect for showing little ones about stepping out of their normal and seeking new adventures, like trying new things, meeting new friends and exploring new things. My 4 year old loved following along on his adventure. We received this as an ebook ARC from the publisher and we can’t wait to add it to our home library collection. It’s an adventure we will read over and over again.
This is a book about pip finding a friend. Pipp is happy to be alone with no one and nothing. Until something takes him out on an adventure. There he meets a friend and realizes that friendship helps make a big world feel more homely. This was a nice book. It was a tad long, but overall the stories and the illustrations work together while. (Take note, the title may have changed. I read it as Pip’s Adventure, but I am finding it online as The Other Side of the Valley)
This book take their readers to an adventure of a little guy Pip. He was living in a separate lone zone. He knew his valley in and out but one day he got to see a leaf from the tree which do not happen to grow in the surrounding where he is living. He went in the search of that leaf and found more and more which further lead him to the another place where he found not just trees with jewel leaves but also a person as him holding one such leaf. They sat together and had tea, watered plants and even checked mailbox for letters.
He left the place happy and returned back to his home and had tea again, watered plants too and again checked his mailbox for letters as he usually do always.
Then, one day he was visited by that same person, named Pod and then sat together and looked out into the deep, dark sky at the planets, comets, and stars. But this time like earlier he didn't feel so lone & small.
This is a good book on the people who found themselves lonely and small in front of whole world but they must know that there is one world out there apart from theirs where they could feel connected. Illustrations were also good.
This was a charming story, though I wish it had a few more details - was Pod sending the leaves over specifically in hopes of finding a friend? And I wish Pod's life was different from Pip's so they could find new things to enjoy, although of course it was nice that Pip felt so at home on both sides of the valley. A cute world and cute characters that I fell in love with immediately.
This book is about Pip who ws brave enough to leave his home and found out that there are many wonderful things out there.
I love Pip's Adventure. I enjoy looking at the colorful page. The Story is also good. I hope all children who read this book can understand the red line. They can learn what Pip did.
A simple and yet incredibly moving story. We meet Pip, someone who seems happy living a solitary and predictable life. Through his adventure, he will discover new lands, but also new feelings, like loneliness and friendship.
This book exemplifies accurately how meeting people changes you, and how rewarding it is to have a connection with someone.
It is great for teaching children the value of friendship, and of stepping out into new territory!

Overall, an average read.
An adorable childrens book regarding the friendship between a small elf comfortably Living in his side of the valley with no intention of ever leaving, and an elf just like him from the opposite side of his home.
A beautiful delivered message on curing loneliness, the importance of relationships and stepping out of your comfort zone perfect for new and old readers alike!

Pip's Adventure is an adorable children's book.
Pip's Adventure starts off with a lonely little Pip. Pip likes the loneliness. Pip loves the valley he lives in and the day to day activities. Then Pip finds a plant that is magical that leads him on a journey. The story is about the magic of friendship and companionship.
The illustrations in Pip's Adventure are dreamy. The illustrations help bring the book to life. The characters are adorable and the detail is magical.
Pip's Adventure is a great younger children's book and perfect for a library story time. The words to picture ratio is great and talks about making friends. As well as getting out of our comfort zone.
I would rate this book 4/5 starts!
How cute is that art? It reminds me of Ben and Holly! This book encourages kids to get out of their comfort zones and try new things. This can be difficult for kids to do and this book helps guide them on how to accept and even look forward to change. A lovely story with a great message and adorable art
A gorgeously illustrated, simple [but powerful] about living ones life the same every day until something happens that helps one step outside one 's box and the unexpected happens and joy ensues.
This was just lovely and a fantastic reminder that in unexpected adventures can lead to magnificent things.
Very well done!!!

A soft adventure story about Pip’s valley and the fruits of being courageous and exploring.
The illustrations grab you and keep you engaged from the very first page of this beautiful story.
A digital ARC was provided by the publisher in exchange for a review. A review was posted publicly on StoryGraph
To be honest, I wasn't entirely convinced when I first flipped through the book. The pictures just felt a little drab to me. But my 5-year-old really loved the story.
The plot is quite simple and straightforward, perfect for younger kids: Pip lives a very orderly life in a valley. After suddenly discovering beautiful tree leaves he's never seen before, Pip embarks on a journey tip the other side of the valley to find the source of the leaves.
The story is quite harmless and innocent: there's are no dangers to face, no difficulties to overcome. Pip just goes on a journey, further than he has ever been before, and ends up finding something much better than what he was looking for. The story itself also doesn't dwell much on the main characters feelings, as he embarks on his journey. This leaves the chance for the adult reading the book to discuss the topics in a way that best suits the child's needs.
I really enjoyed this book, I felt like the message was really important to children. The illustrations where beautiful and i found it easy to read. Thank you!!
