I’m excited to see where this goes! I really enjoyed the plot and close proximity. I foresee some character development too. A BL ghost chasing duo is a fresh take on this genre.

Okay, I was not expecting this story to take this route but I like! I like how we quickly jumped into the crux of the story and got to see a few cases play out. I like the banter between all the characters and can't wait to get to know them more and explore spookier cases. I can't wait for volume 2! I can't wait to explore the spirits more and see the extent of the MC's powers.

Thanks NetGalley and Kodansha for the DRC! I feel spoiled, too many new series are coming out.

This is the first thing I have read by this mangaka and I really enjoyed it. The art was really well done and I liked the character design. The highlight for me was seeing the different yokai, especially the adorable Zashiki-Warashi.

I’m looking forward to the next volume and finding out more about the main characters, plus meeting the new ones.

The elements of magic, ghost and fantasy was amazingly blended in together in this manga. I love how the writer has penned down the characters and their meetings were quite interesting and the incidents were keeping me on toe excited to know what's going to happen next in the plot.

My Noisy Roommate: The Roof Over My Head Comes with Monsters and a Hottie Vol. 1 was a great start to a series! The characters are drawn beautifully, you have an aloof potential love interest and the ghosts are ghoulish or cute depending on the chapter which helps keep it interesting.

It was cute, funny and a tad bit scary. Can't wait to see where the series goes as it continues!

I would definitely recommend this to others, especially those looking for a bit of spook in their slow-burn romances.

I did receive a copy of this from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This manga wasn't what I expected at first, but the balance between paranormal and BL is executed exquisitely. The characters are believable and fleshed out, and their dynamic is natural.

I'm typically not a fan of horror, but I enjoyed learning about Japanese folklore through the story. I am looking forward to volume 2!

Look, it feels really weird to be saying that, especially as I am a card-carrying fan of supernatural slice-of-life and of all things queer, and My Noisy Roommate is definitely both of these things, but I found this so boring. Genuinely, there are events on the page and they develop at pace, and the art is very slick and glamorous, but there is just the core, the heart of the story that's missing. The humor, which usually does wonders to bring the readership closer to the world where the leads can interact with supernatural, seemed very sitcom-like here and if anything makes me care even less. Mystery, but here you have it.

YAOI manga, with lots of ghosts and spirits, most of which are based on Japanese folklore, and lots of irony. The two main characters are the usual "handsome and damned" and "nice bungler" who combine their powers and manage to free haunted houses. Looks good, but this is only the first issue.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

I was pleasantly surprised at how fun this book was. After moving away from home for the first time, Osuke finds himself homeless after some bad luck. He gets scouted by a real estate agent that offers him a free place to live, on one condition: he has to share it with a complete stranger. This setup soon takes a supernatural turn, as it's revealed that Osuke is a ghost magnet and his new roommate, Nijio, needs him around to so he can do his job, which is to evict supernatural creatures and help them find new homes that suit them better. Don't be turned off by the title, there is a lot of good stuff in this first volume, and i'm interested in seeing how this story progresses.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this! There’s a lot of humor in this story that I enjoy very much, and the characters are fun and interesting. I am definitely interested in continuing to read this series and to see what other spirits these characters get to encounter.

I'm no manga expert, but I have to say this book was really FUN, I laughed a few times wich I didn't see coming. It's about Osuke, a boy who loses his home and needs to find a new place to live. There he meets Nijio, his attractive roommate, and everything goes a little crazy when he tells him that supernatural things like ghosts really exist.
The combination of the supernatural element with the character interactions was almost perfect to me. I would have liked it more if the "romance" element was more present because sometimes I wasn't sure if this was really a BL story. However, I think the idea is to keep developing things throughout this series and honestly, I'm here for the ride because this one was really interesting and easy to read. So overall, a very pleasant experience!

I really enjoyed this one! Thanks to Netgalley, the publishers, and the author and artist for the ARC I read.

This manga gives me total Noragami vibes in the best way possible. It’s cute, has some new spirit/ghost plot in each chapter, and then has the overall main character plot slowly progressing through all of it. The art is really nice and I’m really excited to see where the story goes, especially with that teaser of an ending. The different spirits were really interesting, I loved the last one that was just a happy little guy, so glad he will be a reoccurring character because he is adorable. I’m going to need to get the sequel when it comes out, hopefully not too long from now.

Osuke Kuroe, a recent high school graduate, moves to the city on his own, and as luck would have it, the pipes at his new apartment began to leak and his new room is now inhabitable. A passerby hears his struggles and allows him to have cheap rent as long as he lives with a roommate. The catch? It’s haunted.

My Noisy Roommate is a fun and exciting series. I was looking for a series that would scratch the supernatural itch I’ve been getting, and this was perfect! The supernatural beings range from harmless to malicious, and it’s fun see all of the different beings that they encounter. The main characters are likeable, and the art is gorgeous. I love the way the artist draws hair and clothing folds.

A fun "monster of the week" style romance. Not very deep, but excellent style and a fun main coupling with the added layer of the Japanese spirits.

I have mixed feelings about this title. The description calls it out as BL, but side from the MC calling his roommate hot a few times, there's literally nothing going on romance wise. There is exactly one scene that happens between the MCs where their boss calls something a kiss but it's not really a kiss. So that was a bit disappointing to be honest. Otherwise it's a decent story with supernatural elements. Osuke needs a place to live and ends up rooming with Nijio but doesn't realize that he's being used to exorcise a yokai. Nijio needs Osuke to do his job but he's pretty cold to him throughout the book until he gets drunk on Kappa wine, and still, nothing happens between them. I'm really hoping volume 2 will have some actually relationship progression.

Osuke was kicked out of his apartment on the first day, and landed an opportunity to stay in a beautiful place with a super hot roommate Nijio. It turns out to be a relocation service for ghosts and monsters. Osuke and Nijio’s skills complement each other, and they are now partners who live in different haunted real estates and help ghosts find new places!

The art is so beautiful and detailed. All the character and ghost/monsters are very well done. The stories are told in units and covers a variety of traditional Japanese fairy tales and urban myths. It’s not super scary but did a great job of setting up each scenario! I can’t wait to read the next volume since the story of the two are just getting started!

Thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the review copy!

Osuke looks forward to living on his own. When he moves into his new apartment, he finds it flooded. Homeless, and unable to afford another place, Osuke bemoans his fate until a real estate agent approaches him. The man offers him a place to stay but it comes with conditions. Osuke must live with a roommate, a blonde-haired hottie with supernatural abilities. Now he finds himself in an odd partnership as they deal with paranormal beings.

This is such a fun read! Osuke and Nijio are the unlikeliest of partners. However, their innate abilities compliment the others.

I like how Osuke is unaware of his ability. That it does not surface until meeting Nijio. I cannot wait to see how Osuke adapts and grows with his gift and with Nijio’s help.

We get a small glimpse into Nijio’s past. I hope in future volumes we get to learn more about him, especially concerning his spiritual power. I need to learn more! I also want to see the development of his chemistry with Osuke.

The title is a mouthful. However, it is the mangaka’s style that drew my attention. I WILL be adding this title and future volumes to my personal library. It is definitely a keeper.
