Perfect quick manga read, I thought the pacing was great and the illustration style is really good! Iโll 100% be reading the next one. And I will be buying this for my store!

So Osuke Kuroe has no where to live until heโs approached by a strange man and offered a place to stay. The catch? He has to stay with Nijio Yuki, a gorgeous but weird man. When his room becomes freezing and a dark haired woman stalks him in the dark, Osuke realizes somethingโs not right.
It turns out that the strange man and Nijio seek out spirits and work out bargains with them to move them to better places. The plot is so good! I love Japanese lore and this one has quite a bit! Osuke, it turns out, can help Nijio with the spirits so the two become partners.
I can kind of feel the vibe between Osuke and Nijio and I absolutely cannot wait to read more about these two! What a fun manga with gorgeous artistry!

Manga tends to take tropes to extremes, and the forced proximity one is no different. Imagine being unable to live in your own home or do your job without the fear of being possessed by ghosts, unless you remain in the vicinity of a handsome stranger you happen to work with? Yep, thatโs My Noisy Roommate.
Recently evicted, Osuke is worried heโll have to return to live with his overprotective/domineering siblings when heโs approached by a shady looking real-estate agent. The man shows him an amazing apartment, and itโs within his budget, but thereโs a catch. Heโll have roommatesโa ridiculously attractive tattooed bad-boy, and a murderous ghost. Luckily for Osuke, this all ends up being the worldโs worst job interview, because Divine Inspiration Real Estate needs a medium for its undead tenantsโand heโs it.
Overall, this story was very fun. I loved how it dived into Japanese folklore; including Yuki-onna, kappa, and Teke Teke. Many of the ghosts and demons presented are traditionally more horror based, so it was amusing to see them used in a more comedic role. I will say that this manga does feel very episodic in this volume, and only introduces some overarching mysteries and themes in the later chapters, so expect some cliff hangers going in.
Personally, I really enjoyed My Noisy Roommate. The story was interesting and the art was pretty incredible. I will absolutely be picking up volume 2 when itโs available.

Such a cute read. I loved the idea of relocating spirits to more fitting home rather than just hunting them down. The characters are lovable and I am excited to see more of their adventures.

Honestly, this was just alright. The stories are rather interesting and I like the premise of re-housing ghosts and monsters. I wish we knew more about where they are moving them too and how they know it won't make problems in the future.
The main characters are bland at best, but honestly really started to annoy me. The entitlement and weird thought processes just didn't work for me. Unfortunately, I don't think I care enough to continue and see if he improves.

I loved getting to learn more about Japanese legends and folklore through the adventures of Osuke and Nijio. The characters were fun, the storylines were entertaining, and the brewing romance had me invested. Iโm ready for Volume 2!

Fun little horror tale! The premise isnโt even as outlandish as I was expecting, haha. Sets up nicely for serialized โepisodesโ busting different ghosts and ghoulies. I like the mythology aspect too. Iโm not doing gimme-hands for the next installment, but I wouldnโt be averse to picking one up in the future when in the mood.

I am a sucker for paranormal manga and watching as a romance slowly blooms between two people. Osuke's forced to work and live with Nijio when he loses his apartment due a water damage. He soon learns that supernatural beings are automatically drawn to him. Nijio is his opposite. His presence is too domineering and scares supernatural beings. He needs Osuke's help to relocate ghosts and other beings to new homes.
As they work together, they get to learn more about each other and slowly start to care about each other.
I can't wait to read the next volume in this series.

This was a super fun read, i enjoyed it so much i went online to find the print copy to add to my cart to buy as soon as it is released! and to find the next volume in the series as i NEED more of this manga's story in my life!

This first volume was very interesting and did a pretty good job of world building and establishing the characters and their relationship dynamics. It was easy to follow, had creepy paranormal moments as well as touching ones, and I'm actively looking forward to reading the next volume.

I was surprised by this little cute ghost story romance. When Osuke finds himself suddenly homeless he's presented with a strange, too-good-to-pass-up opportunity on an apartment. The only catch? The apartment comes with a roommate. A hot but grumpy roommate, Nijio. But beggars can't be choosers. Oh yeah, and one more thing, the apartment is haunted. And they have to get the ghost to leave.
I liked the slow organic progression of the relationship between Osuke and Nijio in this story. Way too often BL/yaoi mangas rush straight into tons of sex and explicit scenes, this one doesn't. Instead focusing on letting the characters get to know each other and how to work together. I loved that!
As they work together to relocate ghosts, kindly whenever possible, they find a kind of balance and start learning more about one another. I can't wait to read another volume!

A really cute and light read ! Found it a tad difficult to get immediately immersed in the first chapter, but the following chapters got me hooked. The pacing is enjoyable, even more so the art and concept of the story. Will be eagerly waiting for the next volume :)

This is a fun light read for people familiar with the concept of yokai ("a broad range of supernatural spirits and creatures from traditional folklore" as explained in the book's translation notes). If you're not familiar with yokai, this isn't a bad way to be introduced to that concept as used in literature. The chapters feel pretty episodic, with the a featured yokai/story arc. While the volume ends with a teaser that hints at two new characters, it has me feeling ambivalent about the second volume. The art is good, so that's another element in its favor. I'm not sure how much it's going to veer into BL territory other than said hottie and exorcism-related hand-holding.

This was cute...definitely giving BL Ghostbuster vibes. Moves quickly, but overall cute book! Would read again

I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.
I am obsessed with this manga! Generally speaking, it takes me a couple volumes of a manga to get into a story, but this manga hooks you immediately. Told through vignettes of different jobs the two main characters complete, this story has cute moments and an interesting plot.
I was not expecting this title to be as cute as it is. It's got everything you could want. A tough looking character with a soft heart, a big softy that brings out the best in the tough character, and supernatural beings. What more could you want?
I cannot wait to read the second volume.

I know that tittle is a LOT, but this is shaping up to be a cute and promising series!
The mangaka's art style gripped me immediately -- not only is it beautiful to behold, Ozaki's characters come alive in every frame, either it's their sulky personality or cheerful demeanour, or the angst hidden underneath a curated exterior. I could simply stare at their art all day.

A beautiful paranormal queer romance manga with a brilliant artstyle and fantastic story.
If you're looking for a pageturner, with an actual new paranormal story concept, this is the epitome of it.
The characters are incredibly likeable, the pacing is well thought-out, and the action if amazing.
Highly recommend to any queer paranormal manga lovers.

A cute start to what seems like a gentle BL about monsters and living with your hot coworker. I definitely will be looking out for the second volume, and hope it continues to be lighthearted and easy-to-read as this volume.

Osukeโs rental room floods the day he moves in and heโs forced to find a new place. An opportunity too good to be true turns out to be just that. It comes with a hot roommate, Nijio, and a ghost.
Nijioโs job is to relocate ghosts, but theyโre frightened of him. He needs someone to lure them in, and Osuke is perfect for that. The two team up for rather hair-raising jobs. And while theyโre at it, they need to share the bedโฆ
This was a good start to a series with great illustratios, but a bit spookier than I expected. Osuke is a fish out of water in the supernatural world and Nijio is cool and aloof. Something is building between them though. Iโll need to read more to see where this leads.

This was interesting and had good pacing. The art was great too! I would be interested in continuing the series :)
