I really enjoyed this one! Hashimoto was such a sweetheart and his obliviousness was so funny to see. I liked how the romance between him and Shirose build up from coworkers to friends, and how each of them realized their feelings. The art was cute, especially the one of the game characters. The trio was so silly and the misunderstandings caused by their communications were so funny as well!

I knew when I saw online friend and boss I would like this. It was cute and entertaining till the end. I wish we could’ve seen the two more as a couple but I’m also glad they didn’t since I feel like when mangas do that it gets boring but this one didn’t get it boring at all. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys cute simple romances.

What a fantastic start to a series! Such a cute and funny story that I can't wait to continue.

Hashimoto makes a friend in an online game who he can vent about his life to, especially ranting about his demon of a boss. But when the two decide to meet up in real life, he's shocked to find out that his friend and his boss are one and the same.

I will absolutely be picking this one up physically!

The art is gorgeous, and the story is incredibly sweet. It's nice to see their relationship progress and to see how the characters changed (and stayed the same!) I absolutely adore the in-game interactions and how different they are verses how the characters speak/act in real life. It does seem to drag a bit as the misunderstandings go on, but they all had a satisfactory conclusion to me! Kudos!

The last Manga I finished was 7 Deadly Sins; while I read comics sometimes, it’s not my primary genre.

This one was Cute and Funny. The premise was interesting, and the misunderstandings, when they happened, didn’t drag on; they were well done and cleared swiftly.

The pace of the relationship was steady. There was no Insta love at all, which I hated.

The drawing was cute, and I especially loved the art depicting the game and their interactions; the dynamic between them was sweet.

I am already a fan of this, and I can’t wait to dive into the next volume when it is released.

This was a super cute & interesting concept for a Manga & I loved the online game element it included. I felt like there could’ve been clearer breaks for when periods of time were ending & a new one was starting as I found it a little bit difficult to keep up however overall I loved the characters & storyline for this one!

This was not my favorite manga I've ever read. I found i just couldn't connect with the characters so I just couldn't make myself care. I felt like the whole manga just kept dragging on and on. I think the problem is i don't play a lot of rpgs so I just couldn't connect with the material. I did think this was a cute story and the art was great it just wasn't for me.

Super super fun read!

I really enjoyed the character trashtalking his boss to his boss (unknowingly ofc) and later on finding out who his online friend was irl.
All characters were well written and lovable, even Hashimoto being so dense that he turned down a confession completely unaware of it.

It was a light read, loaded with humor and a sprinkle of romance, which made a great combo overall.

As much as I really liked the artwork in this manga I really struggled to get into the storyline and the text placement was not my fave as it made it difficult to follow at times.

So my first read from Nmura wasn’t a huge hit with me so my hopes for this one were a bit lower this time around. I definitely enjoyed it more but I need more! It’s a first volume so 🤞🏻 we get more of these two.

Hashimoto works for…well, a tyrant. His boss, Shirase, is a demon boss. After work he hops online and complains about it to his online best friend, Uma, until one day he sets up a real life party for his online friends…and in walks his boss! There’s also a side character that likes Hashimoto but luckily that doesn’t turn into a triangle.

Hashimoto is…dense. He has zero skills in deduction and he’s blind to everything. It got a bit annoying but it was also kind of funny (and sweet when Shirase ruffles his hair when he’s being dense).

This one definitely reads as YA and that’s perfectly fine because it’s a little cheesy and a little OTT and a little ridiculous but it’s also very sweet and funny. I’m probably going to stick around with this one.

This was such a funny and interesting read. I loved the premise of a manager and their employee meeting through a game and getting to know one another while clashing in real life. The miscommunication between them and other characters had me giggling.
I liked that the game didn't suddenly disappear from the plot once they found out but really wove between them nicely. Sometimes books have an issue with removing the thing that got them together because they consider it irrelevant, but I love that the author really stuck with it.
The art was absolutely stunning. I'd love to see this author do a more adult series. I've now read two of Nmura's graphic novels and I feel like an age up could really benefit this author because I think they're holding back on what they could do. Fingers crossed we'll get to see that in the future!

This was SO CUTE! Cute art, cute characters, cute storyline! I read this whole volume in one sitting, laughing out loud the whole time. I loved how clueless Hashimoto is about who he's talking to online and who they are in real life and their feelings. He was constantly confused! Lol Sometimes I don't like the miscommunication trope, but I feel like this was done in a way that was hilarious and added to the slow burn. Also, it didn't drag on for too long, and even the small possibility of a love triangle of sorts wasn't too overdone. I felt like the story had a perfect balance of all of the fun stuff you want from a cute BL. There really isn't anything spicy yet, but there is another volume coming. So we will see where the relationship goes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you're looking for a fun, cute BL with a workplace/ online relationship, I highly recommend this one.
Thank you, @kodanshamanga for this ARC.

This was so much fun! I laughed way more than I thought I would. I was a little worried because I could tell from the reviews that there was some miscommunication happening in here, and I usually find it super annoying, but honestly I just thought it was hilarious. Like the scene in the car where ONE OF THEM is talking about business trips? So ridiculous in the best way. It was also pretty cute and very mellow on the romance aspect and I just wanted more.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me access to this digital ARC.

Hashimoto’s office life is frustrating and demoralizing. None of his projects at work are ever good enough according to his serious, perfectionist boss. Fortunately, he can decompress a little in his spare time, playing his favorite online game with his good friend “Uma”. They’ve never met in person but Hashimoto feels he can share everything with “Uma”, especially his dislike of his horrible boss, Shirase. What the two online friends don’t realize is that they’ve actually met before… because they work in the same office, and when they decide to finally meet up, they are in for a big surprise!

This BL manga dramedy was adorable and very entertaining! I really enjoyed Nmura’s illustrations and I loved the contrast between the real-life style and the in-game avatars. They were so cute!

I get how the giant whirlpool of misunderstandings in this story could potentially be annoying to some readers, but I think the silly and funny moments it led to made up for it. Although there are a few sweet moments between Hashimoto and Shirase, I think there could have been more romance, overall. That being said, it didn't stop me from enjoying this charming story!

All in all, it was a really good time!

This was so cute! It had me kicking my feet the entire time because even the art style was adorable. I found the miscommunication to be very funny, but best of all, it was solved within the firs volume. The reveal was made early on and the miscommunication was solved by the end (mostly), rather than being drawn out. The manga did do numerous time skips throughout the chapters which moved the story along faster, but I would have liked to see more daily interaction between the 2 main characters. Hopefully there will be more fluff in volume 2!

Speaking of volume 2, it comes out the day before my birthday, so I already know that once it is released, I will be spending the whole day binge reading it.

Thank you to the publisher Kodansha Comics for providing an e-ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.

This was a binge read for me. I have to say I was truly baffled by the cuteness and the hilarious confusion of what the two young men went through. I love it when it’s about two people who work together and it was such a nice pace to it. The art is just spectacular and I truly loved the slow burn. I especially enjoyed how they fell in love also without knowing it and I laughed out loud so many times. This is a lighthearted and lovely story for anyone who likes manga and bl. It really made me want to read more from this author. Will absolutely read this again soon.

Thank you to NetGalley for this arc, and this was my honest opinion.

SQUEE!!!!! i'm blushing :3

so uh... it turns out... his online friend.... is um... his real-life boss?? who woulda thought

this was completely and totally adorable. Our main character, Hashimoto, is so entirely dense when it comes to social cues (particularly romantic ones). I really relate to him on that, so I found it endearing, though I'm sure others may find him irritating.

I'm a big MMORPG (the type of video game featured!) lover, so I really enjoyed the fluidity of the relationships between real life and online. I thought the game was incorporated incredibly visually and narratively. If you aren't super familiar with MMORPGs or the like, it may be trickier for you to follow those sections!

I loved all the characters and the ending was just :3 :3 super wholesome and cute. I love watching people learn about themselves and others. I can't wait to read more!!!!

(thank you to netgalley and the publisher for a free eARC in exchange for my honest review!)

This was one of the cutest mangas I have read. The graphics were the same as anything, and it honestly was not a super original piece, but that is EXACTLY why I love it. They are two beginners lovers figuring out what they want, love together. I love the dynamic between them, and the sweetest thing is how patient they are with each other. Not much of a love triangle, and the miscommunication is brief not dragged out. I absolutely love this, gave me all the feels and giddiness!

What a great start to a series! I really liked the art and the story line was easy to follow. I will say that I didn't like the miscommunication but I am excited to see what happens in the next volume.

I picked this up because it was giving me “you’ve got mail” vibes. I always enjoy that trope of meeting online. I think the reason I like this trope so much is that the online version of communication between people often represents a baring of the most authentic version of themselves, stripped of the preconceptions that come with a physical presence (or at least that’s how usually works in the trope). And this story gave me what I was looking for in that trope.

What didn’t work for me quite so well was the miscommunication love triangle. Maybe I’ve been reading too much Katee Robert and Xiran Jay Zhao, but I thought a “why choose?” solution would have worked well in the context. Assuming Kumada is old enough, because I couldn’t get a good idea on how old he was and it if would be part of an age-gap dynamic, or more of a creepy predatory one.

I would have liked to see more in the “meeting online” trope and less miscommunication, but I was looking for a light-hearted read, and but that measure, it did deliver.
