A light, cute, and fun read! ✨✨
But I couldn’t give it a 5 star. I think it's too fast (super fast-paced). I mean, this manga doesn't really explain things in detail and only adds a few funny and cute scenes to add connection to the story. So many cliffhangers, at least I hope it moves slower and makes the chemistry between Hishamoto and Shirase softer and clearer. :]
But the others so far have been very good! I like how the use of sentences in the game is really like in the real world, how the idioms, slang and jokes work. Including how excited Hishamoto was in playing the game, it was really funny and cute.
A worth to read!

An equal amount of fun, an intense set of events. I had a good laugh and time with this manga. I enjoyed how it wasn't rushed, and at the same time, it took its time to build the story. Overall, I would reread this again ♡

3 stars.
It’s cute and the art’s great. The pacing is a bit odd and I don’t like the whole teenager in love with an adult thing going on. Wish we got to see more of Shirase and Hashimoto actually being a couple.

It was a fun read! There were some funny misunderstandings among the characters, especially their identities and relationship, but it worked out.
I'll be interested in reading volume two.

This was an easy read that definitely had its moments, but I didn’t quite click with the love triangle. I think the story would have been better if we’d got to see more of the awkwardness of meeting in real life. It also didn’t help that the characters looked a bit too similar—I had a hard time telling them apart at times.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc.
I really loved this manga. It was super cute. The characters were fun. I enjoyed their in-game and real life interactions. I loved all the misunderstandings; they added some fun comedy. It was also nice to see how the two MCs work relationship benefited after learning they were in-game friends. I’d love to read more if there is any.

This is the second manga I've read from Nmura and this time the title caught my attention--with it's promise of a terribly awkward situation, I was laughing even before I started reading and it did not dissapoint.
This is book 1 of the manga and it is huge at over 300 pages. I was also surprised to learn that this manga was originally published on twitter.
As appears to be characteristic of Nmura, the art is nice and the story is rather cute and funny, with a bit of romance at the end. The plot ultimately developed as I expected and seemed to wrap up nicely, so I'm not sure what to expect from a book 2 or subsequent volumes.

Sometimes I pick up a manga just because the title interests me and that was the case here. I found this manga available on NetGalley, and as someone who is into gaming, I was intrigued by the title and the misunderstandings I was sure would ensue. This manga is an absolute delight! It is a fun romp, and if you've ever had a job where your boss was intense and you vented about them to friends, you will immediately relate to Hashimoto. Which, as I'm sure you can tell, will lead to hilarious situations. This manga does have some small romance to it which was cute, but I found myself mostly enjoying this for all of the awkward misunderstandings.
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Kodansha for the chance to read this!

I really enjoyed this one! Hashimoto was such a sweetheart and his obliviousness was so funny to see. I liked how the romance between him and Shirose build up from coworkers to friends, and how each of them realized their feelings. The art was cute, especially the one of the game characters. The trio was so silly and the misunderstandings caused by their communications were so funny as well!

I knew when I saw online friend and boss I would like this. It was cute and entertaining till the end. I wish we could’ve seen the two more as a couple but I’m also glad they didn’t since I feel like when mangas do that it gets boring but this one didn’t get it boring at all. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys cute simple romances.

What a fantastic start to a series! Such a cute and funny story that I can't wait to continue.
Hashimoto makes a friend in an online game who he can vent about his life to, especially ranting about his demon of a boss. But when the two decide to meet up in real life, he's shocked to find out that his friend and his boss are one and the same.
I will absolutely be picking this one up physically!

The art is gorgeous, and the story is incredibly sweet. It's nice to see their relationship progress and to see how the characters changed (and stayed the same!) I absolutely adore the in-game interactions and how different they are verses how the characters speak/act in real life. It does seem to drag a bit as the misunderstandings go on, but they all had a satisfactory conclusion to me! Kudos!

The last Manga I finished was 7 Deadly Sins; while I read comics sometimes, it’s not my primary genre.
This one was Cute and Funny. The premise was interesting, and the misunderstandings, when they happened, didn’t drag on; they were well done and cleared swiftly.
The pace of the relationship was steady. There was no Insta love at all, which I hated.
The drawing was cute, and I especially loved the art depicting the game and their interactions; the dynamic between them was sweet.
I am already a fan of this, and I can’t wait to dive into the next volume when it is released.

This was a super cute & interesting concept for a Manga & I loved the online game element it included. I felt like there could’ve been clearer breaks for when periods of time were ending & a new one was starting as I found it a little bit difficult to keep up however overall I loved the characters & storyline for this one!

This was not my favorite manga I've ever read. I found i just couldn't connect with the characters so I just couldn't make myself care. I felt like the whole manga just kept dragging on and on. I think the problem is i don't play a lot of rpgs so I just couldn't connect with the material. I did think this was a cute story and the art was great it just wasn't for me.

Super super fun read!
I really enjoyed the character trashtalking his boss to his boss (unknowingly ofc) and later on finding out who his online friend was irl.
All characters were well written and lovable, even Hashimoto being so dense that he turned down a confession completely unaware of it.
It was a light read, loaded with humor and a sprinkle of romance, which made a great combo overall.

As much as I really liked the artwork in this manga I really struggled to get into the storyline and the text placement was not my fave as it made it difficult to follow at times.

So my first read from Nmura wasn’t a huge hit with me so my hopes for this one were a bit lower this time around. I definitely enjoyed it more but I need more! It’s a first volume so 🤞🏻 we get more of these two.
Hashimoto works for…well, a tyrant. His boss, Shirase, is a demon boss. After work he hops online and complains about it to his online best friend, Uma, until one day he sets up a real life party for his online friends…and in walks his boss! There’s also a side character that likes Hashimoto but luckily that doesn’t turn into a triangle.
Hashimoto is…dense. He has zero skills in deduction and he’s blind to everything. It got a bit annoying but it was also kind of funny (and sweet when Shirase ruffles his hair when he’s being dense).
This one definitely reads as YA and that’s perfectly fine because it’s a little cheesy and a little OTT and a little ridiculous but it’s also very sweet and funny. I’m probably going to stick around with this one.

This was such a funny and interesting read. I loved the premise of a manager and their employee meeting through a game and getting to know one another while clashing in real life. The miscommunication between them and other characters had me giggling.
I liked that the game didn't suddenly disappear from the plot once they found out but really wove between them nicely. Sometimes books have an issue with removing the thing that got them together because they consider it irrelevant, but I love that the author really stuck with it.
The art was absolutely stunning. I'd love to see this author do a more adult series. I've now read two of Nmura's graphic novels and I feel like an age up could really benefit this author because I think they're holding back on what they could do. Fingers crossed we'll get to see that in the future!

This was SO CUTE! Cute art, cute characters, cute storyline! I read this whole volume in one sitting, laughing out loud the whole time. I loved how clueless Hashimoto is about who he's talking to online and who they are in real life and their feelings. He was constantly confused! Lol Sometimes I don't like the miscommunication trope, but I feel like this was done in a way that was hilarious and added to the slow burn. Also, it didn't drag on for too long, and even the small possibility of a love triangle of sorts wasn't too overdone. I felt like the story had a perfect balance of all of the fun stuff you want from a cute BL. There really isn't anything spicy yet, but there is another volume coming. So we will see where the relationship goes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you're looking for a fun, cute BL with a workplace/ online relationship, I highly recommend this one.
Thank you, @kodanshamanga for this ARC.
