Very cute concise picture of the true meaning of Christmas. The illustrations are adorable and on point. I haven't been to the zoo personally but I can only imagine some things (like Koalatown) are taken from the zoo itself. This would be an adorable book to sell with a tiny copy of Fiona's scarf!
Fiona is a happy hippo, and is excited for her first Christmas. But she has no idea what Christmas is, until she met Chloe, the Koala. Fiona realizes that Christmas is so many things, but what makes it special is the love and sharing of friendship. This is a wonderful story with a great message. I loved the illustrations, the detail and the expressions of Fiona. Excellent book.
Thanks Net Galley for sending this e-book ARC for review.

Another cute Fiona the Hippo story. The illustrations are cute and colorful, I only wish it was longer! Thankfully, no christian tie in (thank god, pun intended).
My son and I love little Fiona! We have really enjoyed this series of books! It was fun to see Fiona at Christmas. The illustrations are sweet. The story was engaging. My four year old was entertained the entire time. This book has a great message for young children about the true meaning of Christmas! Definitely a great book to read during Christmas time.
A Very Fiona Christmas is a short and sweet book about Fiona the hippo's first Christmas at the zoo. Through the course of the book, she learns what Christmas is. The illustrations are cute and the book has a great message about the true meaning of Christmas.
I loved the illustrations in this book! The story was very cute as well, but it felt like it could have been a tiny bit longer. The transition from Fiona’s activities to a new zoo mate and then the end was slightly abrupt. Other than that I liked it very much.
What a perfect book for showing us the true meaning of Christmas. Lovely illustrations, that teach that the things we associate with Christmas such as Christmas trees, snow and reindeers are enjoyable but that what matters most is friends, love and sharing. The enjoyment of giving gifts is just as special as receiving them. This will be a lovely gift for my young grandson. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me access to an ARC in return for my honest review.
Cute little Christmas board book! Adorable illustrations! Very simple and not too long, but it is a board book - I think toddlers would enjoy the bright colors and cute story.
Thank you for the Advance Copy
Another Fun Fiona Story Exploring Christmas. Really enjoyed reading it in May
A Joy to read.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy.
My son loves the Fiona books and enjoyed reading this for a little bit of Christmas in May.
I love Fiona so much! Ever since she was born, Fiona has been a star at the Cincinnati Zoo. In this cute picture book, Fiona has fun with her friends at the zoo. It's sweet and heartwarming. This really makes me want to make the trip to Cincinnati to see Fiona in person. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
I love Fiona! I’m fortunate to live close to Fiona and have visited her. This book really picks up on the essence of Fiona. Such a cute story about what Christmas is about. I also loved the colorful pastel inspired palette in the illustrations.
I have followed Fiona's Story at the Cincinnati Zoo since she was born, and A Very Fiona Christmas was a very cute read, appropriate for young children. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!
This is such a sweet quick read, perfect for toddlers and early readers. It was illustrated beautifully, will definitely capture the interest of its target audience, and is a great addition to children’s Christmas books. I would happily purchase this for my 3 year old son who loves animals! Well done!
A Very Fiona Christmas is a Board Book about Fiona the Hippo having her first Christmas at the zoo. The illustrations were adorable as Fiona celebrated & learned about friends and Christmas at the zoo. This was VERY short since it is a board book and was only 10 pages. I felt like this had almost been adapted from a longer picture book as the narrative moved so quickly, but it was still a fun holiday read. I LOVED seeing Fiona wrapped up in lights and playing with her friends.
Thanks to Zondervan, NetGalley, and Richard Cowdrey for the chance to read and review!
Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for allowing me to preview this story. It is such a cute Christmas story that drives home the meaning of the holiday. Who can resist this adorable little hippo? Not me. A fun add to any family's Christmas story collection.
Fiona is a real zoo animal who stars in this fiction picture book series. Children are sure to enjoy the fun stories and charming pictures in all the Fiona picture books. Public libraries will want to add this newest holiday book to their collections.
