An instant hit! I loved this book right from the beginning and my fascination continued to grow. It captures you so easily and it wasn’t hard to become quickly invested.

There’s not just the characters to root for, but the challenge of code breaking and ciphers to help win the war and contribute to the war effort was compelling and thrilling. The code breakers at Bletchley park had such a vital role and the insights we got from this book really brought their work alive.

You can tell the authors put in the effort to research and historically and accurately present the code breakers vital work and that was truly appreciated! I love when you can both enjoy a fiction book but learn a thing or two from it as well! Many of the books events were based on historical events that really happened and shone a light into lesser well known names and contributors to all the work at the park.

And then to mention Jakob and Lizzie - two amazing characters to follow. We get both of their perspectives in the chapters throughout and they were so easy to love and read. Their relationship was so heartwarming and the chapters themselves were snappy, fast paced and easy to lose yourself in.

Gobbled up the book in barely a few days and enjoyed every page. I so hope for a follow up book to this as returning back to join Lizzie and Jakob would be a delight!
