The book follows our female lead Emmy who was left at the altar by her fiancée for his pregnant girlfriend (what a douchebag 🤮) and whose food truck business is going down the drainw. Since her personal and professional life are both in doom, on her assistant’s constant pester, she applies to a reality dating show with zero interest of participating. Well guess what, Emmy gets selected and with a suitcase filled with fifteen different bathing suits she embarks on this journey with one thing on her mind, to win some cash prize and settle her debt. However, things don’t always go the way you want especially when there’s a really sexy guy who not only is hot but also very kind and seems to be really into her.
As Emmy joins the cast members of the show, there’s an immediate spark between her and Wes. It’s like one of those unspoken things that you cannot see but absolutely feel. I enjoyed reading the book and the numerous challenges they participated in. It was funny and interesting knowing that a lot of their challenges involved food and mess. This book also reminded me a lot of the Korean dating show called Single’s Inferno because they had a similar setting and similar kind of tasks and contestants.
There were so many different characters in the book but Tad definitely left a lasting memory aside to Emmy and Wes. It’s nice to read about characters that show growth in a story especially one like this who transformed from a narcissistic muscly dude to a kind and compassionate friend.
The love story between Emmy and Wes was such a delight to read and I liked it. They both were in a similar situation where they didn’t have luck in love and it’s just so beautiful to read about characters like this who find each other in the most unexpected way. It’s a rather interesting book as it tackles on the subject of a dating reality show which I’ve never read about prior to this. I did feel the book was rather too long, the writer could have cut short on some of the challenges. Other than that I would say it was an enjoyable read that got me hooked after some time

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a really fun book. If you like watching reality shows then you will love this book!

Loved this one! Great and fun read. Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the publisher, Netgalley, and the author for my ARC.

I really enjoyed this book! I tend to shy away from reality tv rom coms, but I am so happy that I took a chance on this one. I loved the FMC and the MMC and the detail that went into setting the stage. I also loved all of the side characters and their relationship development! I do wish that there had been a bit more detail in the FMC's food truck business. I feel like that was kind of dismissed although it was the premise of the book to begin with. Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy to read and review!

When the story was focused on Wes and Emmy it was promising, but the cast of characters was just too big, too broad. I never got invested in their story. The writing itself was good, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 2.

Don’t read this review if you haven’t read the book yet!

When I read this book it felt like I was watching Big Wild Love Adventure on my tv. The story is so well written and I loved it so much. I really loved the characters and everything felt so real. I highly recommend this book if you want to read a fun and good read this summer.
Thank you Netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-Op for this arc.

This book was so cute! It is absolutely the best romance book for the summer/beach time. The romance was so cute and it felt like I was watching a reality show!

This delightful book is a must-read for fans of reality TV romantic comedies. Following protagonist Emmy's journey on a dating show called Big Wild Love Adventure, readers are treated to a mix of drama, high-stakes romance, and engaging supporting characters. Despite Emmy's initial reluctance to pursue love on the show, she finds herself drawn to the mysterious Wes in the jungle setting. Through this experience, Emmy learns valuable lessons about moving on from the past and discovering a brighter future.
This book is perfect for fans of Bachelor in Paradise and Love Island, this novel promises an entertaining blend of drama, passion and heratfelt moments.

I loved this book so much! It was the ideal way to start the summer. The writing kept me interested. I genuinely enjoyed the experiences and difficulties that the other cast members had on the show. How they began to form actual friendships. I was completely hooked. I was interested in the show as well as the relationships. Which one won and how, I wanted to know. I thoroughly loved reading something by this author for the first time.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Victory Editing and most importantly Julianna Keyes for giving me a chance to review.

I will admit I am a sucker for a good reality tv show so I decided to take a chance on this one and see if I liked reading one! And I do! This was a fun read that I didn’t want to put down!

This book was absolutely charming! I know it's a great book when I want to be friends with the main character. While I don't watch much reality TV, I love books (especially romance books) about reality TV shows for some reason, and this one absolutely hit the spot! The characters are well fleshed-out, the description of the setting of the dating show made me feel like I was there. This was such a great read, and I'll definitely be checking out more of the author's work.
I give this honest review in exchange for a review copy of this book from NetGalley and the book's publisher.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley & am so grateful because I LOVED this book. As an avid Bachelor, made-for-TV dating and adventure shows, this book was right up my alley. It was a mix of Love Island, Too Hot to Handle, The Bachelor, and The Challenge, and a perfect summer read.
Emmy, our FMC, is a down-on-her-luck baker who impulsively creates an application for BWLA and we follow her journey for love in the villa. The characters are well-rounded, funny, and human. I wasn't ready to leave the world Julianna created when the book was finished. I've already recommended to my girlfriends and look forward to reading more books by the author.

I loved this book. It was just like an season of Love Island, which is one of my fave tv shows. I would read a bunch of books like this!

As an avid consumer of reality TV, I devoured this book and left no crumbs. It was an easy, captivating read that had me chuckling the whole time. I love when an author is descriptive enough that I'm able to visualize the scenes and that's exactly what Ms Keyes achieved for me.
Emmy is an excellent FMC... I loved her story and thought she was so resilient and strong - I found myself relating to her more than once.
The plot development was *chefs kiss* and not predictable as a lot of romances can be. I have already recommended this one in the girl's group chat!
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Victory Editing and most importantly Julianna Keyes for giving me a chance to review this fun summer read!

💌 REVIEW:: This book was so much fun to read. It was quick and easy, filled with loveable character scenes and witty remarks. 💚
Emmy is a baker fallen on hard times in her business and in desperate need of money. Drunk with her friend one day, she applies to a reality tv dating show, hoping to redeem herself and her business, and really isn't concerned with finding love. But as she spends more time with the fellow contestants on the show, she comes to realise that there's more to life than money. Sometimes it takes going through some super tough times to be able to understand yourself and your needs better.
The book stays pretty clean, just a fun and sweet romance novel. Julianna, the author does a nice job of wrapping up everyone's storyline, and I'm still trying to understand what happened at the end because it felt a little rushed but i look forward to reading more about the side characters soon. 💕

Emmy has always dreamed of owning her own bake shop - even when she was little she always elevated what she made (plain lemonade was not good enough in her opinion) After being with Eddie for years she is at the alter and Eddie decides then that he can’t go through with it because he had gotten his girlfriend pregnant. Instead of everyone being upset with Eddie to cheating and leaving Emmy at the alter - they praise him for taking care of GF and his soon to be child. Ever since then Emmy has had a hard time - she put her savings in the food truck that is barely standing selling a dedicated baked treat every day. She scores a celebrity wedding and on her way to the ceremony she gets into a wreck and everything is a loss - the desserts, the truck, her phone and all hope of making things work. She gets evicted because she didn’t they pay from the wedding, and after a threat of a lawsuit she goes into debt when her family has to payback the advance she received on her behalf.
After her assistant comes over drunk - they both end up filling out an application for the upcoming competition show. Emmy gets picked and is dropped off on the side of the road in a swimsuit in the middle of Panama. She has to trek through the forest to get to the mansion; along the way she runs into a few contestants and end up being the last to arrive. Throughout the rest of the book you see Emmy go into the game merely to win money; what she finds is that she ends up opening her mind and heart to friendships and even gets some butterflies
Julianna built up such a compelling and entertaining exchange between all contestants and as these shows always have villains and sweethearts - you can’t hate the way she turned players against one another and how others become such good friends. There were plenty of twists that keep the storyline fresh and enjoyable - look forward to seeing what else she has written!

*4.5 stars
On a whim, Emmy decides to take her friend’s drunken dare to apply for a reality TV show. It sounds like the perfect solution, get away from her chaotic life, get some money to repay debts, and get some love along the way. Wait, that’s not part of the plan (or is it?)
This book was so much fun to read and rush through. I had so much fun reading the challenges and the bonds between characters and so much more. If you like reality television, this book is a must for you, that’s for sure.
Thank you to NetGalley and Julianna Keyes for an eARC of this book.

I loved this one for the setting because I’ve never read a romance book that’s a bout a reality show, which makes it so fun because I love to watch them. The characters were great and you got to experience quite a bit of adventure as well so it didn’t get boring.

Emmy is my long lost best friend and honestly I would like to go on this reality adventure show myself. So wholesome and a relatable heartbreak- to an extent.

This was a really fun reality dating show romance.
I’ve read and watched a lot of reality dating shows, but this book provided a difference prenise than I’ve seen before! It’s a combo of dating x adventure, with a healthy mix of angst, competition, and big personalities all mixed in.
In addition to the fun “show” premise, the characters are also really interesting and well fleshed out. It was entertaining to see all the dynamics play out, and see the MCs finally get their chance together!
