Loved these two sooo much. Fletcher and Destiny tried being friends, but their chemistry was off the charts. So they try the friends with benefits route. Will it end once their fake dating period ends or will they try for happily ever after.

This is a terrific, make-you-chuckle romance that will surely have you unable to put it down. The Mr. Right Checklist is an opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, fake-relationship love story in which the characters will have you wiping away the tears from laughing so hard. Ms. Foster always delivers a storyline that is addictive, so easy to get lost in and such a joy to read.
We are given two people who you would never think would work together because of their personalities. Destiny is a free-spirited, easy-going woman who is trying to love life to the fullest but has had some sad moments in her life. She seems to let things roll off her back because she sees the best in things. Trying to start a new proposal business sees her in the middle of a fiasco. The man who was being proposed is none other than Mr. Grumpy Gus, Ryan Fletcher, the owner of the dog she grooms at her job. Well, just when she thought her life was going to end up in shambles, Fletch becomes her knight in shining armor. Fletcher has loved before and because of what happened he steers away from love and all that goes with it but there is something about Destiny that pulls on his heart. He just can't keep away.
I loved the way he helps her and when she reveals some personal secrets about her life, he embraces them and her. The two of them helped and healed one another. Their connection was instant and beautiful.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Destiny and Fletcher. Destiny works part time at a dog groomer and is trying to start a business too. Fletcher teaches at a college. They meet while Fletcher has his dog groomed. There is an instant attraction. Fletcher offers to help set up her new business. They start spending every afternoon together. He ask her to be his plus one for his brother’s wedding. She agrees. They start dating. They fall in love.

Fletch and Destiny are the perfect Grumpy/Sunshine duo. The Mr Right Checklist is heartwarming and hilarious. The perfect read for cold winter nights!

The Mr. Right Checklist features the tropes of opposites attract, found family, grumpy sunshine. Foster skillfully creates a delightful, steamy romantic comedy that will have readers laughing out loud while taking them on a heartwarming journey.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Mr. Right Checklist. Whenever I read one of Melissa Foster's books, I know I am in for a treat, and this one did not disappoint. The Mr. Right Checklist highlighted the author's versatility as a writer, taking a different direction from her usual works. This time, she went the route of a romantic comedy featuring a grumpy hero and a heroine who is all sunshine.
Meet Destiny Amor and Ryan Fletcher. Destiny works as a dog groomer with her best friend. However, she aspires to become a marriage proposal planner. Despite the tragedy that befell her in the past, she remains a firm believer in the magic of true love and dreams of one day finding her Mr. Right. She even has a list of the attributes her ideal partner must possess. However, to date, she has yet to find a man who checks all the boxes on her list.
She landed her first client, and just when she thought everything was going well, it blew up in her face. Then enters Ryan, the man who will help her get business off the ground and who needs a fake girlfriend to get his family off his back. Ryan, a college professor, knows what it is to have love and lost. A divorcee who has been burned and is not interested in walking that path ever again. His family, however, had other ideas. So, helping Destiny with her business plan in exchange for being his fake girlfriend was a win-win situation After all, he didn't her criteria for Mr. Right, and there was no chance of him falling for her.
The story that developed from this scenario was entertaining and heartwarming. Seeing that they were not each other's type they had no expectations of falling in love with each other. Fate, however, had different plans. The more time they spent together, the harder they fell for each other. Their attempts at resisting the attraction between them made for some interesting and lighthearted moments.
Ryan and Destiny were wonderful characters. It was a joy getting to know them. They epitomized the quote opposite attract. Destiny with her firecracker and positive attitude complemented Ryan's grumpy and serious persona. She brought out his charming and romantic side. They bought laughter and emotional moments to the story. The secondary characters, some of whom I had the pleasure to meet in previous books added depth. Like all those of Foster's books family and friendships played a central role.
Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood delivered an outstanding narration of the story. They immersed the listener, enabling a full experience of every emotion portrayed. Their depiction of the characters was flawless, and their voices complemented each other perfectly.
Readers in search of a sexy and hilarious story featuring a grumpy professor and the firecracker heroine who brought him to his knees, will absolutely love "The Mr. Right Checklist." This novel offers a perfect blend of humor, romance, and chemistry that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

The Mr. Right Checklist by Melissa Foster is a heartwarming rom-com that blends humor, love, and a dash of matchmaking mischief. Destiny Amor, a dog groomer and aspiring marriage-proposal planner, is a hopeless romantic whose over-the-top checklist for the perfect partner keeps her from finding love herself. When her first business attempt goes awry, she teams up with Ryan “Fletch” Fletcher, a cynical professor looking to placate his matchmaking family. What starts as a fake relationship for mutual gain quickly sparks real chemistry. Foster’s charming characters and witty dialogue make this a fun, feel-good read about love, second chances, and the unexpected twists that lead to happily ever after.

The Mr Right Checklist was a cute rom-com story with two sweet characters, minimal complications and a good ending but I really did not like the main female lead. I think her southern accident was so strong and so over the top that I just kept having to stop and saying what the heck is she trying to say. She also came off as so juvenile a lot of the time that it took me a little out of the story. But it was cute and not a bad read at all.

The Mr. Right Checklist by Melissa Foster is a contemporary romcom that can be read as a standalone. We are introduced to the grumpy professor Ryan 'Fletch' Fletcher and sunshine dog groomer Destiny Amor. With a fake dating proposal, fun banter, complete opposites attract, and a checklist thrown into the mix, this situationship story was a fun light read. It was great seeing these two characters fall for one another.

The Mr. Right Checklist by Melissa Foster didn’t quite hit the mark for me. While the concept of finding “Mr. Right” through a checklist could have been fun, the characters felt a little one-dimensional, and the romance didn’t have the emotional depth I was hoping for. The story moved a bit too quickly for me, and some of the plot points felt overly predictable, making it hard to stay fully engaged. It’s a light, easy read, but I wasn’t as invested as I’d hoped to be.

The Mr. Right Checklist was such a fun read, it had plenty of laughs and a few touching moments as well. Destiny and Fletch made a wonderful couple, even with their ups and downs. It was an enjoyable storyline and characters

Melissa Foster knows how to right great romance books, and Mr. Right Checklist was such a fun grumpy-sunshine, fake dating, opposites attract book!
Destiny and Fletch didn’t seem like they would work at ALL, but we’re absolutely proven wrong after they literally run into one another and begin their fake dating ruse.
The perfect amount of spice, funny, and depth/emotion - definitely recommend!

This was such a fun, entertaining, and enjoyable read! I really liked the characters and found the plot engaging. It’s a light, cute story that’s perfect for when you need something uplifting.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

I really liked this book! I've never read a book about this type of characters but really liked it. I do recommend this book!

A laugh out loud fun romance. Destiny is a lot of things, a dog groomer, dog walker and now business owner. She has always dreamed of having a marriage proposal business…her first attempt does not go well. But we all need to follow our dreams right? Fletch is a professor who is pretty much done with his family pushing him to find a girlfriend. So when Destiny’s first proposal doesn’t go well, these two enter into a you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours agreement. We all know how that ends….these two fall for each other when they least expect to. This book had laugh out loud banter and really fun characters. This was a cute read that was entertaining. Melissa never disappoints and I always look forward to reading her next book.

In The Mr. Right Checklist, Melissa Foster crafts a charming grumpy-sunshine romance full of humor, heart, and irresistible chemistry.
Hopeless romantic Destiny Amor dreams of helping others find their happily-ever-afters, but her optimism clashes with Ryan “Fletch” Fletcher, a grumpy professor who’s sworn off love. When a business deal turns into a pretend relationship, sparks fly, and hilarity ensues as they navigate unexpected feelings.
With lovable characters, witty banter, and steamy moments, The Mr. Right Checklist is a delightful celebration of love’s messy, magical surprises. Foster reminds us that the best relationships rarely follow a checklist—they rewrite it.

THE MR. RIGHT CHECKLIST
by Melissa Foster
THE MR. RIGHT CHECKLIST is a dynamic spark of grumpy perfection!
Just when I thought I had read or listened to all the Melissa Foster books.
Then enters THE MR. RIGHT CHECKLIST!!!!!!
This baby just was it for me!!! I loved every single bit of it from top to bottom.

I do like a good professor in the books, it was fun and I liked the grumpy/sunshine... I liked that both characters have their own life structure and they are in complete opposites but they found a connection between them and try to work on that, it was a good book, not extraordinary but good

Loved Destiny and Fletch!
Destiny is a gift of sunshine and happy. Fletch is Mr. Grumpy, but Destiny changes him. She shows him that it is ok to take risks again. Fletch had a failed marriage 10 years ago, but Destiny is the sunshine that has been missing in his life.
Fletch teaches Destiny so much about organizing her business to be successful and is her biggest supporter.
Fletch also sees how important it is for Destiny to talk with her parents who are stars in the sky.
Such a beautiful book!

This is a cute grumpy/sunshine rom com with a heroine who loves love and believes in happily ever after and a romance averse prof who doesn't believe in love after his divorce. Talk about total opposites! I loved how Destiny lived for the moment and worked hard on her marriage/proposal business and Fletcher who thinks things through, takes his time making decisions and is on the more reserved side.

I recently dove into The Mr. Right Checklist by Melissa Foster, and I must say, it was a delightful read that kept me entertained from start to finish. The story revolves around Destiny, a quirky marriage-proposal planner, and a grumpy professor, Fletch, creating a dynamic that is both humorous and heartwarming.
What I loved most about this book was the chemistry between Destiny and Fletcher. Their contrasting personalities added a layer of tension that made their interactions so much fun to read. Destiny's vibrant spirit and her amusing checklist for finding "Mr. Right" brought a refreshing energy to the plot, while the professor's gruff exterior provided the perfect counterbalance. I found myself rooting for them as they navigated their feelings amid a series of comedic mishaps.
Foster's writing style really stood out to me. She has a knack for blending humor with emotional depth, making the characters relatable and their struggles feel genuine. Destiny’s checklist not only served as a clever plot device but also resonated with me on a personal level; it’s something many of us can relate to when thinking about love and relationships. The lighthearted approach to these themes made the book an enjoyable escape.
While some plot points felt a bit predictable, I didn’t mind because Foster’s engaging writing and well-developed characters kept me hooked. The pacing was just right—there was never a dull moment—and the steamy scenes were tastefully done, adding to the romance without overshadowing the story.
Overall, I would give The Mr. Right Checklist a solid 4 stars. It’s a charming contemporary romance that left me smiling long after I finished reading. If you’re looking for a book that combines humor, romance, and relatable characters, I highly recommend giving this one a try!
