This is a really intriguing autobiography by a very accomplished writer. I have no experience of Reiki or Tarot or any of the other spiritual/alternative practices used by Ms Dashnau LeBarron to develop her awareness and help herself find a healing path through pain and confusion. With no prior knowledge and an open mind, I thoroughly enjoyed this journey.

The author is honest - both about what she learns but also about her failures/failings - and that is what makes the book successful for me. I liked that her friend who did her readings was always available to support her and help with interpreting ideas and intuitions. Would that we all had a friend like that.

Who knows if she saved her daughter Elizabeth’s life or not but better to be safe than take unnecessary chances. I found this a thought provoking, appealing, and revealing read. I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley

My Grandfather's Gift - 4 stars
This is an interesting memoir. I always enjoy reading someone elses life story. This one was no different. It was very easy to read. With that being said, past lives is a topic typically out of my comfort zone. Fun to give something new a try. I would reccommend this for anyone interested in memoirs, mediums and past lives.
