I liked it but it wasn't wow but it was good as a light read to be honest, it was a fun story about the "wrong type of guy" but that actually made the book fun even if some parts were a bit predictable

A good, steamy romance. Great book of making the best of the unexpected while also being a lesson in what can happen.

The final chapter in the Second Chance Saga is finally here. We follow Peter, a self proclaimed fuckboy and serial womanizer and Lia, the woman he meets at a bar and has a drunken one night stand with. That is, until she finds out she’s pregnant. Though not everything is as it seems.

I’m usually a big fan of romance novels that have found family and second chance romance but this missed the mark for me. I didn’t like either of the main characters and I could have done without the twist that causes the 3rd act breakup. This couple lacked communication and it showed. Peter also slut shames Lia even though he’s a self proclaimed whore. Sir pick a struggle.

🌟✨ 4-Star Review! ✨🌟

Who’s Your Daddy? by Jacqueline Francis

Peter Danahay is the quintessential playboy—a commitment-phobe with a reputation that screams trouble. But oh, how the tables turn when a one-night stand with him flips Lia’s world upside down. This story is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with charm, banter, and unexpected twists.

Having followed Peter through the series, I was eagerly waiting for his story, and it did not disappoint. Francis masterfully showcases Peter’s evolution from a carefree womanizer to a man grappling with unexpected fatherhood and real feelings. The chemistry between Peter and Lia is electric, and their dynamic keeps you hooked from start to finish.

What really stood out was the depth of character development. Peter, who once swore off commitment, finds himself drawn to Lia in ways he never anticipated. Their journey together is both heartwarming and maddening, with moments of pure sweetness and laugh-out-loud hilarity.

Francis doesn’t just give us a romance; she gives us a story of growth, redemption, and the beauty of finding love in the most unexpected places. If you’ve followed Scott, Dylan, and Peter through the series, you’ll cherish the camaraderie and deep bonds of friendship that shine through. And if you’re new, this book stands strong on its own but offers a richer experience when read in sequence.

Peter Danahay might just be my favorite male lead now, tied with Scott Carter. This book is a must-read for anyone who loves a good redemption arc, witty banter, and a romance that tugs at your heartstrings. 🌟📖💖

I believe this book is part of a series, this tells the story of Lia and Peter’s love, and I feel that I could understand the story better if I had read the previous books . But overall I liked it.

Who's Your Daddy? by Jacqueline Francis is the fifth book in a series that delves into the exciting world of secret chance romance and accidental pregnancy.

On one hand, the storyline was juicy and moved at a blistering pace - I'm talking jail time, maxed out credit cards, and a baby daddy drama tornado. Lia, our protagonist, is pregnant and trying to navigate the sports world while figuring out who she can actually trust and who she needs to lie to. That premise alone had me hooked.

But here's where I struggled: Lia herself was...not my cup of tea as a character. She's introduced as this struggling person with a gold-digger vibes doing dumb mistakes left and right, which made it REALLY hard for me to root for her. I get that characters need flaws and complexities, but there were times Lia took it to an extreme and stupid even for a young adult that just turned me off. The mistakes she made and the people she hurt along the way...whew, I just couldn't fully get behind her.

That said, I actually really liked Peter's character! He came across as way more rich fuckboy and more sorted by the story. And the overall story beat itself was super engaging, even if it maybe got a little too drawn out at points for my personal tastes. But the editing was on point, so props to the author there.

Jacqueline Francis can obviously spin a good yarn. As my first experience with this book series, though, I just didn't quite vibe with Lia enough to be fully invested. And overall the story revolving around the mistakes she is committing. With some smoothing out of her character and motivations, I think these books could really click for me. The good news is, the author has serious skills when it comes to storytelling.

For fans already enthralled by this romance series, I'd say give Who's Your Daddy? a go - the drama is top-notch! But for me, This one just missed that mark a bit for me to rave over. A decent enough read, but I need a bit more character refinement to be all-in. Not a storyline I would go gaga over but a good read. A solid 3 / 5 for me,

Who's Your Daddy?" is a rollercoaster ride of emotions wrapped in a steamy romance package. From the first page, I was hooked by the intense chemistry between Peter Danahay and his unexpected love interest. Despite his flaws, Peter's character is strangely relatable, and I found myself rooting for him against all odds. What I enjoyed most about this book was its raw portrayal of love's complexities, reminding me that sometimes, the most unlikely relationships can blossom into something beautiful.

This one is interesting but not to my liking. Like Lia's character is for me just no one big no. And her ambition to find a sugar daddy because work is hard? No, but I did like her humor. Peter was ok, and big kudos for him because of all the baby drama.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgalley

A mad rush of a book with jail time, credit cards being used up and a baby without a daddy. The book keeps going at lace and covers a lot of ground with Lia pregnant, on the sport side and not sure who to tell the truth to and who to lie to. She doesn’t quite get the honesty right and ends up in a mess. This was an interesting read, starting out with Lia as a bratty character made it hard to invest in her happiness. She makes some colossal mistakes and hurts people and I struggled to want her to have a HEA.

I went back and forth with my feelings on this one. I was entertained but often frustrated with this book. So much could have been solved with better communication but I could really expect that from either character, neither of whom I found especially likeable. They just made me feel old before my time. Not my cup of tea.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'll admit it, I like the cover. A lot! I wanted to read the book based on that fact. I'm happy I did. Francis crafted an easy read, and it was perfect for me in between other heavier content books I had on my list. Thanks to NetGalley for the copy for this review. Four stars.
