This was so cute! I love this author's stories! She's so good at bringing out the feels, the emotions and the sincerity of characters.
If you enjoy Married at First Sight, you'll enjoy this as the premise is really similar.

I really loved the characters in this. The whole story was fantastic and really kept my attention. This is a book I definitely didn't want to end. Absolutely amazing. I'll definitely be recommending this book.

I read this as an ARC on NetGalley
When you are used to being left/abandoned, your self esteem takes a hit. That is the case for Molly who chases after who she thinks she is destined to be with only to discover that sometimes who you need is someone completely different. Someone who will lift you up instead of tearing you down.

-second chance romance

Molly thinks she’s in a good place with her boyfriend, Duncan, until he suddenly drops a bomb on her: he wants to break up to pursue an opportunity to advance his business by appearing as a contestant on the popular dating show, The One. The premise of The One is that contestants date for four weeks, at the end of which is a wedding, where they must choose whether or not to say “I Do”.

Molly follows Duncan onto the show, hoping to be paired with him for their love story to play out. When she arrives, however, she is paired with Ben, who also happens to be her ex.

💭My thoughts:
Unfortunately, this book was not my cup of tea. I didn’t find Molly likeable, and both Ben and Duncan had major red flags. Molly seemed to be more interested in getting married - to whoever would marry her - than having a loving, caring relationship.

The POV is third person, and it felt quite repetitive, overusing the same words, and repeating similar events. The writing style was not my favourite, and I found myself struggling to finish this book.

TW: overdose, suicide, psychological abuse, abandonment by a parent

Reality TV plots are always a guilty pleasure for me, so I was excited for this one. I felt that the setting was great and the writing style with a dual POV added dimension to the plot development.

However, I found the novel was extremely repetitive, with Molly and Ben continuously having the same conversation/argument each chapter. I also struggled to like Ben - especially when he struggled to enjoy a face mask in a spa, because he was a man.

I have read some mixed reviews but I enjoyed this book! It gave off easy summer reading vibes and definitely kept my attention. Some parts were repetitive but otherwise a well written novel!
I wasn’t sure I would enjoy the reality tv aspect but it was great. One thing I would’ve liked to have is a little more info about life outside of the show, such as relationships with friends and that sort of thing.

Thank You, Next was exactly what I expected it to be and exactly what I wanted to read when I started it. It was a great light read and I devoured it.
I loved Molly and Ben's story. I enjoyed both of their character's growth as the story progressed.
I cannot stand Duncan. His attitude really did comes across to me as "I don't want you, but I also don't want anyone else to have you". Completely selfish and up himself.
Both Ben and Molly had a few personal issues they had to work through in order top get to where they were at the end of the book.

For me the storyline was a little too slow for the majority of the book. The chapters were very repetitive. The end is what saved the book in my opinion.

Thankyou netgallery and Kathryn Freeman for the chance to review this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't put it down. What a fun read. This book contains language and sex scenes (does not overwhelm the book though). I enjoyed both Ben and Molly both which have their own traumas and troubles to deal with. This book does discuss death, child abandonment and adoption.

The novel “Thank you, next” is set on a reality dating show. This aspect immediately drew me into the urge of reading it. Molly is in love with Ducan who gets the opportunity to take part in the TV show. He says “Yes” and breaks up with his girlfriend Molly, who thought that he might marry her one day. When she also gets the chance to take part, she wants to do everything to win her lover back and marry him at the end of the show. Unfortunately, she is not paired with Ducan but Ben.
The story reads like a dating show. I loved the references to the dating show and that I had the impression of actually being part of the TV team filming. The author wrote especially well and made the characters relatable and funny.
Molly’s background story was very interesting. The woman had serious struggles in the past which explained her behaviours well. So did the stories of Duncan and Ben. My sympathies to the protagonists changed throughout the plot which I was very keen on. The story was complex and did not give the ending away on the first few pages and therefore drew me into reading on. I enjoyed the reading time.
To sum up, I loved the dating aspect and also the way the author put everything in the novel. I would definitely recommend this book for all dating show lovers.

This book is based on the main character Molly going on a reality show to try and win back her ex who dumped her to go on this show. Once she gets there the guy who broke her heart 3 years ago was also there.

This book is written in third person: it’s been a while since reading a book written in third person and I didn’t mind it. It was different but it didn’t get on my nerves but be warned because not everyone likes that writing style.

The things I didn’t like about this book is just the miscommunication and the being stuck in the past and not being able to move on even if it’s for the better. It’s just a pet peeve for me and it is actually quite common especially in dating shows so I think the author did a good job at writing it like a reality show.

But overall a good and quick read that was interesting and I do recommend this book to anyone who likes reality shows and second chance romance

I've enjoyed some of the previously published books set on reality TV shows, but this one just didn't work for me. I didn't quite believe the set up and I struggled to connect with the characters.

"Thank You, Next" is a cute, romantic read by Kathryn Freeman that centers around Molly, who's shocked to find out that her long-time boyfriend has accepted an invitation to go on a reality dating show. He insists that it's only for the publicity and to grow his Instagram fitness account, but Molly's not so sure. And when she receives her own invitation to go on the same show, she jumps at the chance to give love a try and see if they're really meant to be. But once she arrives on set, she's unsettled to find that "the one that got away" years ago, Ben, is the one that the professionals have paired her up with. How will she manage to juggle her newly resurfaced feelings for Ben when she's supposed to be trying to win back her boyfriend?

I thought this was really cute, and Molly was easy to root for. It was good to read how both Molly and Ben had things they had to work on in order to be good partners, and they had great chemistry as well! I'm so glad this book had a happy ending! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK for this ARC. This was really fun! really loving this so far. Love the dating show aspect of this, I haven’t read many books with that so this is fun. Molly loves dating reality TV shows and her boyfriend Duncan gets called to go onto her favorite show The One so they break up and coincidentally Molly ends up on the show as well for reality TV drama from the shows producer and such. What Molly doesn’t expect is to see her ex past 3 years Ben who gets roped into going on the show from his sister Rachel who works for the show and from there it gets intense and there’s a lot of fun relationship drama but heartfelt and adorable moments. Hate to love, maybe fake dating too? Possibly that’s the vibes I’m getting, also second chance romance too. This was such a fun, fast read with reality drama for sure it really felt as if I was reading an exact reality tv show and it does remind me a lot of love is blind or married at first sight type of vibes, more along the lines of love is blind though. Molly doesn’t want to get her heart shattered and she refuses to realize that she still has feelings for her ex Ben. I really liked Ben and not so much Duncan… he was so ugh. Highly recommend for people who love romance, second chance all the tropes I said and just even a quick drama and spicy read.

Fun fact: I don't watch reality dating shows. But, apparently, I enjoy reading about them.

This was a fun read - not too heavy, but not insipid - just the right amount of angst in an otherwise light-hearted second-chance romance.

The premise is a nice twist on a dating show plot - Molly joins a dating show called 'The One' in hopes of being paired with her very recent ex, Duncan, but instead finds herself paired with a different ex, the grumpy and reserved Ben. It's a love triangle adjacent dynamic that doesn't become overly contentious or dramatic.

The chemistry between Molly & Ben is great. While, at times, Duncan is a jerk, I appreciate the fact that he isn't given the full villain treatment. He wasn't a bad guy, per se, just bad for Molly.

If I have a complaint with this book, it's that Ben's internal conflict gets repetitive towards the end. Overall, however, I found this to be an enjoyable read.

Thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK / One More Chapter for the advanced reader copy of this book, provided in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

what a fun concept! Loved this book more than i was expecting to.

Our FMC follows her ex boyfriend on “The One” a dating show in which you are matched up with someone and have to decide whether you want to marry them by the end or not. What she didn’t expect is getting paired up with an old flamme of hers that she thought was waaay in the past.

I actually quite liked the whole dating show aspect of this book but maybe it’s because I’m a sucker when it comes to dating shows (Love is Blind, Married at first sight, etc). I thought it was such a fun book to read.
I usually avoid love triangles at all cost but honestly I didn’t mind it in this book. It felt very natural and not forced.

I loved the second chance romance aspect of this book as well, the whole “I’ve got to win her back” spiel. The MMC (Ben) had his issues throughout the book and he was actively trying to deal with his past. We appreciate a good character development moment.

I honestly feel like the only thing I would’ve liked more would’ve been to have more drama revolving the dating show. I felt like there is so much untapped potential with this book. I also felt it become a bit repetitive towards the ending but I never felt inclined to stop reading this at any point.

Overall, I thought this was a really fun and cute book that I was absolutely recommend to any dating show fan.

Thank you to Netgalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC, I recently had the opportunity to dive into Thank You, Next by Kathryn Freeman, a story about the concept of love, fate, and the chaotic charm of reality dating shows. With a cover that is as adorable as the plot is enticing, Freeman crafts a world that feels like a nod to Hannah B.'s season of the Bachelorette, filled with the anticipation and heartache of finding love under the spotlight.

Plot Overview

The story introduces us to Molly, whose seemingly perfect relationship with her bodybuilder boyfriend, Duncan, takes a dramatic turn when he is invited to join a reality dating competition, The One. Seeing it as a golden opportunity to boost his brand, Duncan and Molly break up "temporarily" so Duncan can go on the show and help provide for their future. However, the plot thickens when Molly is also asked to join the cast. Believing it to be destiny, Molly envisions a fairy-tale ending with Duncan on the show. Yet, the unexpected reappearance of Ben, a figure from her past, introduces a obstacle that could alter her path to love.

My Thoughts

While the premise of Thank You, Next promises a whirlwind of romantic dilemmas set against the backdrop of a reality dating show, the execution slightly missed the mark for me. Despite this, the novel remains a fun read, particularly for fans of light-hearted romance and the binge-worthy TV stories. The dynamic between Molly, Duncan, and Ben unfolds in a way that is both entertaining and thought-provoking, posing the age-old question of whether love deserves a second chance.

Reality show mixed with complicated relationships. Fun and easy to get lost in. I enjoyed this one. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I think the ending definitely saved it a little for me , I personally thing the characters were with holding the happily ever after , and as much as I love a slow burn you didn’t really get them to be happy for more than 2 minutes before their issues got in the way, other than that I definitely enjoyed the book and the characters . I personally enjoy how Molly and Jasmine weren’t pinned against each other for an extended period of time, but over all wasn’t a bad book . Would read more works from this author for sure , it was entertaining !

A very good story that I actually found to be disappointingly short! I felt that Molly and Ben could’ve been explore in more depth, but it was definitely a fun read.
