I read this book in one sitting and could not put it down. The emotional rollercoaster was intense and intriguing. I got so much insight and revealed secrets from the 2 different point of views. The writing style is captivating. Once I thought I had figured it out, the story turned around and surprised me with more. Thriller vibes for sure, but with it’s own twist. Loved it so much!

With the help of Holly and her daughter Luna Rachel healed. But some say that Rachel spends too much time with Luna and when Luna is abducted all fingers at point at Rachel. But when Luna turns up and Rachel disappears. They think with guilt after taking Luna. Holly knows that her friend wouldn’t do that and will do anything to find out the truth.
Two Mothers by Kathryn Croft is another fabulous thriller from the author. This is slow to start with. But it is a well thought out story with is full of twists, secrets and lies. I thought it was quite heartfelt too how two people close to each other, but their lives are so far apart. This is a great read that I really enjoyed. 5 stars from me.

A page turner of a thriller! I was captivated by this mystery and trying to figure out who took Luna and what happened to Rachel…I didn’t guess it though! I know I’ve got a great mystery when I can’t put it down and NEED to know what happened, which was definitely the case for #TwoMothers.

An absolute blinder of a thriller, I was hooked from the very start and couldn’t put it down!

Told from the POV of Rachel in the past and her best friend Holly in the present, the story follows the two women’s journeys following the tragic death of Rachel’s daughter, her need to spend time with Holly’s daughter, Luna, for comfort and then Luna’s disappearance.

There is a lot going on in the background; Rachel has told nobody about her abusive marriage, Holly is conflicted at work, one of Rachel’s students has been falsely accused of a crime, and there is so much more. The plot is insane! So much crucial detail and it comes together brilliantly with so many twists, my head was spinning!

Nothing is as it seems and everything you might assume will be turned on its head!

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Kathryn Croft and Bookouture, for an ARC in return for an honest review.

The two mothers are Holly and Rachel. Both have lost their young daughters - one forever. Is one Mum implicated in what has happened to the daughter of the other? And are either or both of the flawed husbands responsible for all that is going wrong? And how does the teenager accused of rape and the “killer driver” fit in.? This is another speedy read from Kathryn Croft that keep the reader guessing all the way through to a (slightly abrupt) end

Two Mothers is a fast paced thriller.
I’ve read a couple of books by Kathryn and with another to add to the growing list, I’m pleased with my reading journey.
Holly and Rachel are mothers and best friends.
One has lost her daughter in a traumatic accident.
To help with her grief, Rachel spends a lot of time with Holly’s family.
Then the others daughter gets child napped.
Soon after Rachel disappears.
A coincidence or not……
Holly will do anything to uncover the truth and when she does, it shocks everyone….
The plot had me hooked and with short chapters and good writing, I flipped through the pages with ease and excitement.
Told through today and the past, the distinct dialogue of the two main female protagonists made for gripping reading.
With a collection of characters that are interesting, moments of tension, a twist, some surprises and a wrapped up ending, all making an enjoyable reading encounter.

Two Mothers by Kathryn Croft is a story that will grip your heart and keep you guessing. I especially enjoyed how this was written between both mother's point of view, you can't help but feel for each of them as they navigate grief and friendships that are affected by it.
Holly and Rachel are best friends and so are their daughters Evie and Luna, but when a tragedy takes Evie's life in a car accident nothing is ever the same. Holly and Rachel's friendship is put through the test, and Rachel seems to take an uncomfortable interest in Holly 's daughter Luna. So when Luna goes missing all eyes are on Rachel but Holly sets out to prove Rachel's innocence.
I loved how this story made you connect with the grief of the two mother's, and how they both struggled to work through it. Holly's determination to the absolve her friend was a beautiful testament to their bond. Though the ending left somethings unresolved, I really enjoyed the storyline and it kept me interested through out.
Thank You Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A child goes missing...did the mother's best friend take her? Fast-paced story, but some of the characters were a little lackluster.
A good thriller to dive into this summer.

My Rating: 4.25

In Two Mothers by Kathryn Croft, we follow two points of view - Rachel and Holly.

Rachel and Holly are mothers and best friends. Rachel lost her daughter Evie in a tragic accident. Holly's daughter Luna goes missing.

Did Rachel kidnap Luna?
Is Rachel's grief such that she would chance losing her son?

Two Mothers has so many twists and turns that you will get emotional whiplash. I will not go into too much detail because this is a book that you need to experience all the things for yourself. I definitely recommend Two Mothers by Kathryn Croft if you enjoy twists and turns, friendship drama, a web of lies, and so many interconnected parts and pieces that all come together in the end. WHEW! The journey you are about to go on if you pick up this book!!!

Content warning: child loss, mention of rape, domestic abuse

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review Two Mothers by Kathryn Croft.

Amazingly well written a d thoroughly entertaining. I felt some of the characters weren't very true to life, others a bit underdeveloped and the rest well perfectly brought to life lol. I loved the premise, there was so much tension built throughout and I had more quirstiins with every chapter. I couldn't finish it quickly enough

Another twisty masterpiece from Kathryn Croft - the title sums it up pretty well, it really is the tale of 2 mothers, friends who having been previously reunited through having infant daughters of the same age, who find themselves struggling to find their equilibrium following the tragic and untimely deaths of one of the daughters.

Holly, a journalist, is the mother of 3 year old Luna, she is married to Elijah and finds her work embroiled with her personal life as some of the stories she reports on involving Rachel (the other mother), a secondary school teacher in a local school. This novel starts with every parents worst nightmare - Holly goes to check on young Luna in the middle of the night, only to find that she has disappeared, presumably snatched ... what follows is so twisty and so thoroughly entertaining! Another great read from this author.

This is a well written , gripping story that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

A little girl goes missing. Was it her mom's best friend who took her while grieving her own daughter? A neighborhood is shattered by the kidnapping of a girl, who later is returned. Suspect after suspect.

I was surprised by the ending for sure! This book kept me reading without any slow moments. #netgalley

I found this a bit lacklustre, unfortunately. The plot was meandering and failed to grab my attention, and there were parts that just didn’t hold true. The good points are that I thought the characters of Damian and Rachel were well-written and well-rounded, however others felt two-dimensional.

Apologies not to be able to give this a better review, and with thanks to the publisher for providing access to this ARC in return for an honest review.

I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Two Mothers’ written by Kathryn Croft in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Holly and Elijah’s two-year-old daughter Luna is snatched from her bed. Holly’s best friend Rachel is there to support her despite losing her own daughter Evie in a car accident the year before. Luna is found wandering in a park two days later, dirty and traumatised, on the same day that Rachel’s husband Damien reports her missing. He hands Holly a grey cuddly lamb that’s Luna’s favourite toy saying that he found in his house. Holly can’t believe Rachel would take Luna but can’t think of any other explanation.

‘Two Mothers’ is a exciting thriller with two threads, a missing child and a woman who disappears, and a story that’s in two timescales told in alternate chapters by Holly and Rachel. The beginning of the story had me gripped but then slowed down and it wasn’t until I was three-quarters of the way through that the tension started to build up again. It’s a well-written thriller that’s cleverly thought out with unexpected twists and turns that lead to a conclusion full of action, drama and suspense and I’ve enjoyed reading it.

This one really intrigued me as I'll always read books about mothers.
This one is about two friends Rachel and Holly. Rachel's little girl died in a car accident and has been suffering since, then their lives and secrets become tangled when Holly's little girl Luna goes missing and then Rachel. All fingers are pointed at Rachel for taking Luna, but Holly will not believe that.
This was a page turner, and the more I read the more questions I had. One of the aspects of this read was I didn't find Oscar or Logan believable characters. They are young boys who both seemed far too mature for their age. They both understood thoughts and feelings which I believed far beyond their years and it didn't feel believable for me. I think as well the other characters didn't feel quite right but the storyline itself was interesting to me. Would be interested to read more from this author.

Waw, lle i ddechrau? Mae Kathryn Croft yn bendant yn gwybod sut i dynnu sylw’r darllenydd, doeddwn i ddim yn gallu rhoi hwn i lawr ac eisiau gwybod mwy wrth i bob pennod ddirwyn i ben! Dwy fam yn ffrindiau gorau, un wedi colli ei merch fach ac yn ceisio ymdopi â holl heriau ei bywyd wedi hynny, a’r llall yn magu ei merch fach hithau cyn iddi fynd ar goll un noson. Mae’r nofel yn llawn troeon annisgwyl gan adrodd yr hanes yn y presennol a’r gorffennol, a doeddwn i’n bendant ddim yn gallu dyfalu beth fyddai’n digwydd nesaf. Gwych, wir wedi mwynhau’r stori!

Wow, where do I start? Kathryn Croft certainly knows how to capture a reader’s attention, I couldn’t put this one down and was desperate to know more as each chapter finished! Two mothers who are best friends, one who’s lost her daughter and tries to cope with the challenges of her life after the tragedy, the other raising her daughter before she disappears one night. This novel is full of unexpected twists and turns, with a dual timeline in the present and past, and I certainly couldn’t predict what would happen next! Excellent, I really enjoyed this one!

I couldn’t put it down a real page turner as are all her books. Rachel and Holly are best friends both with a daughter one of them loses her daughter in a tragic accident and the other one her daughter is kidnapped but by whom, soon after the kidnapping Rachel goes missing.

It certainly keeps you guessing until the end definitely recommend.

This book was great! It was a bit slow at the start but it got very interesting. Two mothers who are friends both have daughters. One has been killed in an accident and the other has been kidnapped. Will the mothers turn on each other? Will their grief become too much? Will they find the missing girl? Definitely a book very worth reading!!
