This is a must-read book I don't want to give any spoilers, but you won't regret getting this book, you won't put it down till you're done reading the whole this.

So pretend that this book doesn't feel like a middle school rough draft with endless grammatical mistakes, misspellings, and weird phrasing. The prologue is an emotional, dramatic start that then becomes a tired romance between a baker and a perfect, blue collar "man". Neither main character is particularly unique or giving main character energy. When the action starts, we finally see hints of Anya having a personality, but her best friend Nat is honestly the only character with any oomph. From there, the world building and entanglement of the mortal and fae realms is underdeveloped. The ending was unsurprising, cliched, and left me with the feeling very little had happened in the story itself. I don't see myself picking up the sequel.

DNF. The premise of this book really grabbed my attention but when I started reading it I just couldn't empathize with the characters or be intrigued by the story. I try multiple times to read it but it's just not for me.

The concept of Ryn being a banished prince with wings cut off is a strong visual and symbolic detail, evoking both vulnerability and resilience. The idea of Anya and Ryn navigating the dangerous landscape of love, fate, and power provides ample opportunities for rich storytelling. Additionally, the dynamic between the two women, Anya and Natasha, hints at strong female friendships, which can add an extra layer of depth and intrigue to the plot.

That said, while the synopsis offers an engaging premise, there are some aspects that could use further exploration. For example, the connection between Anya’s bakery life and Ryn’s royal background feels a bit jarring at first, though it could be a central point of tension or discovery within the narrative. The stakes of the royal conflict and the target on Ryn’s life are established but not fully detailed, which leaves room for more insight into the world-building and political intrigue of the Kingdom of Mairene.

Overall, this synopsis promises an exciting and emotional journey with the potential for romance, action, and self-discovery. The writing with a bit more world-building and character exploration, it could be an incredibly rich and rewarding read.

This book is a great start to the Thread of Fate series! With rich world-building, intriguing magic, and a gripping storyline, it pulls you in right away. The main character’s journey is compelling, filled with secrets, destiny, and plenty of twists. Some pacing issues slow things down at times, but the emotional depth and immersive setting make up for it. A solid fantasy read that leaves you excited for the next book!

The book sounded like it was going to be a great read but it ended up DNF. There was way too many errors that it was too hard to ignore them to be able to focus on the book. If it was the random misspelling here or there, a lack of detail in a scene or something that could be doable it would be a different story.

This book simply was a hot mess and needs a lot of work and then maybe republished and try again.

I had to DNF this book at 50%, it was not for me. It felt so cheesy and I just couldn’t warm to any of the characters at all. The writing style was relatively childish in my opinion and I just couldn’t push myself any further unfortunately. This was an alright story that read more like a novella.

It left out a lot of information for the purpose (I believe) of intriguing and capturing your interest enough to continue on. But I never really felt captivated by the story. I imagine book 2 will have a lot more fantasy aspects, but this one was more of a building cozy romance, which isn't my favorite.

A quick novella, it didn't blow me away but it wasn't awful either. I did like the concept, and thought this could be expanded and I would likely enjoy a full story with more details.

I was so disappointed in this book. It didn’t seemed finished at all. It’s like a bunch of ideas were thrown onto a page and they called it good. So many things were confusing and I’m just like what did I read?! It doesn’t seem like this was edited at all and it still needs a lot of work!

The grammars in this book where to much. And i think the editing could have done better. but i loved the way this book has been written. It was an easy to read book and had some great tropes. I think this book is a great start of the series and shows that the autor has a creative mind and has great potential for the future.

A wonderful read that hit just the spot!

Not on the long side, but equally as satisfying, it was truly a treat and sweet beyond belief - with just enough spice to get you going, even when it's behind closed doors. There's mystery and suspense, and the whole "touch her and you die" trope which, let's be honest, is the kryptonite for all us romantasy girlies.

Also, we see the female lead's BFF go on a rescue journey with the male lead, arguing because they disagree on some things but still united because they both love Anya so much. I pity any foe they come across, they make a good team and Aleryn's PISSED!

For those of you not into the "insta-soulmate" trope, this might not be for you. But if you're like me, and dream of the one true love that was fated to be yours and knows it the minute he sees you -then dive right in. You're gonna love this story!

P.S.: Bring us more Theo in the next book, please, the grump is to die for!

“The Forgotten Prince” is a novella and book one in the “Thread of Fate” series. Quick and easy read! Since it is a novella, it doesn’t have as much world building and character development as a full novel would. Just something to keep in mind! I liked the concept of a fae realm prince hiding out in the mortal world. This story has an urban/contemporary vibe playing out mainly in the modern world. I would have liked more time spent in the fae realm but that’s my personal preference.

It started out promising and then just lost it. I understand it’s a short novella but it felt rushed. Also insta-lovey which is not my favorite trope. I think this just needed another round of editing. I understand ARC’s aren’t always the final version but it just seemed like it needed extra help. I would be interested in possibly reading more in the series.

The Forgotten Prince is about a mother’s love to protect her child at all cost. Ryn’s mother sacrificed herself so that Ryn could escape to the mortal world. Now many years later he falls in love with a human and the evil that his mother sacrificed herself to free him from has found where there are. That evil has kidnapped his love and his friend trying to force Ryn back to the fae world.
This story was very hard to read because it was in a format where the background is dark gray and the font is black no matter what setting you selected. I really enjoyed the very beginning, but wished that there was a bit more so that we as the reader would no more about what happened. Most of the story is just Ryn and Anya dating with nothing else really going on. Then the end of the story the action starts with Anya and Theo getting kidnapped, and then the story just stops. Overall the story was a little lackluster and the ending was a bit abrupt.
