Our main man Jack Morgan is back with his Private Branch and like always with James Patterson novels, there is lots going on and it definitely is not one book that will get boring with lots of twists and turns and different storylines. Private LA starts with a grooup of surfers all doped up who end up shot and their bodies lying in a fire , we discover that this is a group of disgruntled soldiers who want to rid the world of their greed and wish to see it suffer and unless they start to see the draining of the LA finances , they will not stop killing and of course living in the 21st century - social media is booming and unlike his earlier novels , this one plays a huge focus on social media and the attention it attracts and how quickly something can become viral and what can happen when the hits get high enough. The second storyline was that celebrity couple Jennifer and Thom Harlow have disappeared along with their three adopted children , what has happened to them and how can a celebrity family just vanish into thin air ? What will happen though when Private's Detective Justine and Jack dig deeper into the Harlow's personal life and discover that they are from the perfect wholesome family and humanitarians that they are portrayed in the spotlight ? The last storyline hits closer to home for Jack Morgan as his twin brother Tommy is in jail and awaiting trial for Murder and is claiming his innocence and has found himself mixed back with the mobsters that got him into trouble in the first place, when they place his bail. Can Jack save Tommy or is helping him a lost cause and will Jack's help backfire on him ? The final pages will answer the question that has been on the tip of our tongues ever since we first met Jack Morgan and Justine , will they finally get together or will their be somebody else once again standing in their way of happiness ?
