Small-town romance fans will be charmed by Amy True’s delightful tale, Meet Me in Ivy Falls.
House restoration is Torran’s passion and she is putting all of her passion, blood, sweat and tears into building her career in Ivy Falls. Her dream is for the beautiful town to retain its beauty, identity and charm, but her plans hit the wall when she’s outbid on her dream house at auction by none other than Beck, her childhood sweetheart, who had broken her heart many years ago. Beck has made it perfectly clear that he doesn’t have fond memories of Ivy Falls and having shattered her trust once before, Torran is determined to keep him at arm’s length…
Beck is well aware that his departure from Ivy Falls had broken Torran’s heart into a million tiny pieces. But his old hometown is full of dark memories he has tried his utmost to outrun. Returning to Ivy Falls was not part of his plans, so why is he back in town and bidding on his old childhood home? Being back in Torran’s life brings to the fore feelings for Beck which have been buried for a very long time and as the two grow closer, he wonders whether he can bear to spend the rest of his life without her.
But while Torran makes it clear that Ivy Falls is her home, Beck would be happy to never set foot in town ever again. Can the two of them find a way to build a life and a future together? Or is their love simply not meant to be?
Readers hooked on Virgin River are going to love Amy True’s emotional, uplifting and feel-good contemporary romance, Meet Me in Ivy Falls. A terrific page-turner about second chances, fresh starts and love lost and found, Meet Me in Ivy Falls is a gorgeous tale about coming home, reconnecting with the past and falling in love that will touch the heart and have readers eager to visit this small town again.
This was a just a great read. I was just all in the story.
Loved the MCs. Lovely written book. i enjoyed more than I expected I would
Meet me in Ivy Falls was everything that I was hoping for! It was like HGTV and Hallmark had a baby and I honestly adored every minute of it! Amy True’s talent leaps off the page! Looking forward to the next one in the series!
Set in the charming small town of Ivy Falls, Torran Wright is trying to restore one of the town's historic homes to save her reputation after a viral video makes her a local outcast. Things get complicated when her high school ex, Beck, shows up after a ten-year absence and outbids her for the house she’s determined to restore. Their chemistry is immediate, but it feels rushed for a second chance romance—Torran’s anger toward Beck, who left her without explanation, adds a lot of tension between them.
Beck soon realizes the house is in worse shape than he thought, and he needs Torran's help to fix it. This forces them to spend more time together, and their unresolved feelings start to resurface. Beck’s backstory is revealed gradually, showing that he had reasons for leaving that he never shared with Torran. Meanwhile, Torran is dealing with her own grief after her mother’s passing, making her push others away. There’s a lot of emotional weight, especially around themes of loss and healing, but the author handles them sensitively.
Overall, this is a sweet, small-town romance with a mix of humor, home restoration, and second chances. The dual POV adds depth to the story, letting readers see both Torran’s frustration and Beck’s attempts at redemption. The supporting characters, like Torran’s business partner Manny, add warmth and set up potential future romances in Ivy Falls. It’s a cozy read that blends romance, community, and the complexities of moving on from the past.
This was as fun as a Hallmark movie. A great read when you are looking for an uplifting romance for any time of year.
This was a great read. These characters were the sassiest ones I’ve read lately. Loved it and highly recommend
Let me start by saying I love the cover of this book and all the beautiful pastel colours.
This book was a very easy read, one that makes you want to curl up with a cuppa and just submerge yourself in to small town life. Ivy Falls has me invested and I so wanted to be part of the community. To salvage her life, and her reputation, Torran Wright sets her sights on restoring one of her small town’s beloved historic homes. She’s sure the place is hers until her old high school boyfriend appears after a ten-year disappearing act and bids the house out from under her. The chemistry between Terran and Beck was immediate, and in my opinion little too fast, I like a slow burn romance but I guess it is a second change romance.
I think it should be said that this book contains some trigger warnings including grief, addiction and cancer to name but a few, but the topics are deal with in a sensitive way.
I am definitely hoping that we get to visit Ivy Falls again and find out what is going on with the town and its residents.
Thank you to NetGalley and CAEZIK Romance for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Meet Me in Ivy Falls is an utterly delightful small-town romance that stole my heart from the very beginning. Sarah Ready once again delivers a charming, feel-good story filled with warmth, humor, and unforgettable characters. Ivy Falls is a place you’ll wish you could visit, with its tight-knit community and picturesque backdrop.
The story revolves around two beautifully flawed characters—each dealing with their pasts—who are brought together in unexpected ways. Ready’s writing is full of wit and emotion, making the romance between the main characters feel organic and deeply relatable. Their chemistry is undeniable, and watching them navigate the ups and downs of life and love was both heartwarming and, at times, laugh-out-loud funny.
The supporting cast in Ivy Falls adds even more depth to the story, each bringing their own charm to the town and to the plot. Ready expertly balances romance with themes of family, self-discovery, and healing, creating a book that’s as touching as it is entertaining.
Overall, Meet Me in Ivy Falls is a captivating read that’s perfect for anyone who loves cozy small-town romances with heart and humor. Sarah Ready has created a gem with this one!
A big thank you to Amy True, NetGalley, and Canelo for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
thank you publisher for this arc read in exchange for an honest review!
unfortunately this was a miss for me. the premise was charming and I was hopeful for this second chance romance. however I felt for me the story fell flat. I had a really difficult time getting engaged in this book. both main characters felt one dimensional and I found the pacing to be awkward.
while I however, appreciated the representation of grief, addiction, and trauma, I felt as though the topics were handled in such an unrealistic and unhealthy way.
This was a much heavier read than I anticipated, so don’t let the adorable cover fool you! I was hooked from the beginning and loved the small town and nostalgic vibes. I also love home renovation, historic homes, and that the FMC had her own contracting company (because so do I!) so I enjoyed the premise, too. Torran and Beck were childhood sweethearts, but the way they ended caused Torran to despise Beck. So she isn’t too happy when he ends up back in their hometown, and especially the reason for it. I always love a second chance romance, and the chemistry, banter, and tension between them were on point!
This book also gives off major Stars Hollow vibes for all the Gilmore Girls lovers out there 🥰 I’m excited to see what’s next in this series.
Thank you NetGalley and Atria books for the ARC!
First of all, thank you NetGalley for giving me an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Set in the small Tennessee town of Ivy Falls, this second chance romance, dual POV held a lot of touching moments and I was so happy with the flow while reading. Beck and Torren held some amazing banter and the back and forth between them helped to fuel the slow burn this book created for them.

Thanks to @netgalley , the author, and the publishers for providing me with the e-ARC of this book💕
My Rating : ⭐⭐⭐.75/5
My review💌 : It's a cute book to read about small town and second chance romance. The characters are full of life with their banter and cozy vibes. It shows how love can overcome grief and past hurtful feelings and blossom into something so beautiful.
I enjoyed the book till about 60% but then it just became repetitive and felt like being dragging out longer than necessary. But I loved the book nonetheless💕
Set in the small historic town of Ivy Falls in Tennessee, Torran is working with her business partner Manny on restoring the beautiful old houses of the town. But she's been met with some resistance from the local council who would rather sell the old properties to developers and bring in some much need cash to the area. Torran doesn't help herself when she's filmed cursing the town after having tripped on a rug, hit a ladder and had a tin of paint fall over her head. Unfortunately for her, the video goes viral and now most of the town seems to be against her, but she holds her head up high and gets on with things.
When a beautiful old house on Huckleberry Lane comes up for auction, Torran is determined to buy it and restore it to it's original 1890's glory. But she's outbid by someone she hasn't seen in 10yrs - the same someone who broke her heart when she was 17. She doesn't know why Beck is back but she's determined to keep him out of her life.
Beck realises the state the house is in after the previous tenants left behind a wake of destruction - sledgehammers through walls, cabinets torn down, sinks smashed and concrete poured down all the plugholes. The house smells like a rubbish tip crossed with a cesspit and after falling through the roof he realises he needs Torran's help. It also gives him a convenient excuse to spend time with her and maybe, just maybe, win her back.
Beck is a lovable character, yes he left Torran when he was a kid but he had a pretty good reason really but it's also understandable why Torran is angry and hurt. He never told her what happened back then or why he pushed her away and took away her choice to decide if she still wanted to love him and be with him after what he had been through. Torran is dealing with her own grief after her mother died and she uses this as an excuse to push people in her life away. It takes her sister and Manny using some tough love on her that finally makes her see that while she's grieving, she's not the only one and that everyone's grief looks different. She can't expect everyone to be like her. I think she could have used the tough love a little earlier on in the story instead of just being allowed to shut people out, it made her seem selfish.
The story is told in dual POV which is my favourite way to read a romance novel! The story also set up the next romances to come in Ivy Falls so I'm looking forward to reading about the next couple in the series who I'm guessing will be Tessa and Manny. I also hope Piper (Beck's sister) finds her own happiness and my guess is it will be with Beck's business partner but we'll have to wait and see on that one/
Thanks to NetGalley and Canelo for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
Meet me in Ivy Falls is a heartwarming and wholesome small-town love story that beautifully blends romance, personal growth, and second chances.
The novel introduces Torran as a refreshing protagonist in the contracting world, offering a unique perspective. The cozy atmosphere, a tight-knit community where gossips and mutual support abound, reminded me so much of Gilmore Girls.
It was only after I finished reading the book that I noticed the author also mentioned this show as her inspiration, even taking a scene from it that feels like the town’s meeting scene. @amytrue, please tell me if I’m right! 🫣
However, the constant character justifications—“I’m doing this because…”—felt repetitive, and the trope of mutual understanding stemming from parental loss has become quite common.
The story was narrated from multi-point-of-view which is always a plus for me. But it could have been enhanced by giving each character a distinct voice to avoid confusion.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.
I absolutely enjoyed this dual POV romance book more than i thought i would.
do i know anything about fixing things up? absolutely not.
do i share actually similarities with the character? no i don't.
but that didn't stop me from enjoying the book.
rating it 5 stars.
Thank you very much to NetGalley for the opportunity to receive an ARC copy!
This book really made me want to curl up on a rainy/foggy/snowy day with some tea and just enjoy the vibes of the story!! I love a story where I am transported into a small town. The travel FOMO really got me here.
If you are in the mood for a second chance romance, small town vibes, family drama, save the day energy then look no further! Cannot wait for the remainder of the series.
This book gave me the feels! You will laugh and cry during reading! Super cute and adorable. If you are anything like me and live for a feel-good small-town romance, pick this one up and give it a go! I definitely got Hallmark vibes. You get second chances with Torran and Beck. Ivy Falls was giving Gilmore Girls. You can't help but root for the MCs and enjoy the banter between them. Don't forget about the family drama and support throughout the book. This was my first book read by Amy True, however, I will be reading more and look forward to more Ivy Falls settings and storylines!
If you are looking for a small town romance in a sleepy Stars Hallow vibes set in Tennessee, you definitely found your book!
This books is a second chance and enemies to lovers romance.
Inside this small town romance, we follow Beck and Torren as they deal with life, love, and restoring the best parts of Ivy Falls.
I liked this book however, I felt that there could have been more tension between the two as they came together a little too quickly but if you aren’t someone who likes a slow burn and wants them to get at it, this could be for you!
Thank you to the author and the publisher for gifting me a copy of this book via NetGalley.
This was a cute story and very emotional. I enjoyed Beck and Torran's banter and the slow burn of realizing they are meant to be. Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC

This book started off very cozy small town-vibe and I really enjoyed the atmosphere that was around Ivy Falls. But then it became very slow and boring. I felt like nothing happened at all and the story kept dragging. Unfortunately I decided to dnf this one.
