A second-chance romance in a small town set in the southern United States. Wonderful chemistry and prolonged grief make for an interesting read that doesn't seem too far fetched.
Torran is a contractor who specializes in restoring her hometown's oldest houses. When the opportunity to restore her long-lost love's old home, she knows she has to be the one to restore it. However, when said love, Beck, returns and buys the house out from under her, her dreams are shattered. Can she work with him to restore the house after everything he put her through? Are their feelings going to get in the way of her success?
Beck wants his parents' old home to honor his parents and hopefully fix his sister's addiction problems. But the project quickly becomes more than he knew he was signing up for and unexpected obstacles appear at every corner. In addition, his feelings for Torran never left and he's willing to put in the work for her dreams in an attempt to win her over. Their relationship is rocky, full of tension, and gut-wrenching at times. But watching the two of them work through their own grief as the work on the house and each other is a real treat.

As soon as I read the synopsis for Meet Me in Ivy Falls I knew I had to read it, it was everything I adore, childhood sweethearts, broken hearts, second chances and small towns, what’s not to love, well after reading this I can confirm nothing, I loved every moment of this book abd really didn’t want to put it down when pesky work got in the way.
I loved that the book had dual POVs because I always love to know what other characters are thinking or feeling, I’m so made up when I get an extra point of view. Torran and Becks chemistry is electric, I loved I could feel their love for each other still lingering at the very start and I really enjoyed watching their relationship flourish and blossom, as well as their characters developing across the story.
If you’re looking for a wonderful second chance story, With frenemies, childhood sweethearts and lovely story written with heart, Meet Me in Ivy Falls is the book you’ve been looking for.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book was giving all the small-town Hallmark movie vibes and I'm a sucker for that. This was a really easy / quick read with solid characters, a good plot, and all the cute romance. It was predictable, but that doesn't bother me at all. We're here for the romance, not the suspense. I was invested enough to want to read more about Ivy Falls, and I would recommend this book to my friends who love those predictable Hallmark movies just as much as me.
I like how this story begins. The reader is immediately immersed in Torran's life and its ups and downs. I like the small-town setting, the focus on house renovation, and the enemies-to-lovers vibe between Tor and Beck, who have a romantic history. It's an emotional read with two believably flawed protagonists in whom you invest. I enjoyed the romance and the small-town community.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
I enjoyed reading Meet me in Ivy Falls by Amy true. You will fall in love with all the characters. I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely. Happy Reading!
Meet me in Ivy falls has been such a delightful find for me! I will admit i clicked on it just for it's very pretty cover but I found the most lovely second chance romance I have ever read.
I loved the cosy small town vibe that went with the story and Toran and Beck were so fun to read about.
Highly recommend and I will most definitely be listening to it again when the audiobook is released!
Meet me in Ivy Falls is book one in the brand new romance series Ivy Falls by Amy True.
This is a very sweet and cozy debut!
Such a delightful romance that will leave readers swooning and smiling in equal measure.
A charming second-chance romance, with the best characters and the absolute cute small town atmosphere.
Meet me in Ivy Falls is a feel-good romance that celebrates the power of hope, love, and community.
I can’t wait till book two Finding Love in Ivy Falls hits!
Thank You NetGalley and Canelo for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
Torran Wright's life is in turmoil with her contracting business failing and her hopes of an HGTV show dashed by a viral accident. She plans to restore a historic home to turn things around, only to be outbid by her old high school boyfriend, Beck Townsend, who has returned to Ivy Falls after ten years. Beck aims to resolve old memories but didn't expect to compete with Torran for the same house. After an accident reveals his lack of DIY skills, Torran agrees to help him. As they work together, their chemistry reignites, transforming their professional relationship into something more. They must confront their pasts and secrets to mend their relationship.
Initially, the book starts slow but quickly picks up pace, effectively depicting Torran and Beck's rekindled desire. Their attempts to resolve past issues are compelling, though not smooth, creating tension and anticipation. The dual POV narrative helps understand their thoughts and actions. The characters develop well throughout the story, making it a sweet and engaging second chance romance, even hinting at a third chance.
Loved this one! Great and fun read. Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the publisher, Netgalley, and the author for my ARC.
Such a cute second chance romance 💕
Torran lives in Ivy Falls, haunted by the death of her mum, a fractured relationship with her dad who happens to be the major of the town. She is passionate about saving the towns historic buildings and renovating them.
Her life is thrown when her ex of 10 years Beck comes back to town winning the auction for her latest project.
The angst between Beck and Torran is palpable. Their back stories are heartbreaking, Beck won me over, he is such a sweetheart.
Can Torran give him the time of day, maybe even learn to trust him again.
This is such a beautifully written second chance romance, can’t wait to read more fof I’m Ivy Falls in the future. Hopefully Tessa and Manny 🙏
Thank you NetGalley, the Amy True and the Canelo for this ARC, all opinions expressed are my own.
Meet me in Ivy Falls was for me a book that will not stay with me for long. The characters were hard for me to feel much for. The romance just fell flat. I liked the small-town setting. I wanted more to make the second chance vibe to be front and center. I adore second chance books, but this one fell flat for me. This is the first in the Ivy Falls series. Hopefully the next will click better for me.
Thank you NetGalley, Amy Trus and Canelo for the copy of Meet me in Ivy Falls. This is my personal review.
This book was cute and easy read! I loved the small town vibes and seeing the town forgive and embrace Torran and Beck. Beck was clearly torn up about being back in Ivy Falls, and Torran was the perfect catalyst to bringing him back and keeping him in town. Her sister and Manny were the perfect side characters that added to the romance and small town vibes. Beck’s sister’s story was also an intriguing one that I kept wondering about throughout the book. I loved the family support throughout the book - Torran and her sister, Beck and his sister, Manny and his daughter. I would recommend this book for an enjoyable summer read!

I'd give this book 3.5 stars and 1 chili pepper for spice.
It definitely had romantic comedy vibes with the plot with some extra serious tones on subplots. Families aren't perfect and this book dealt a lot with grief - specifically with parents.
I thought that the family relationships were realistic and the conflict was too. I liked that things weren't insurmountable and the ending was nice.
I wish there was more spice, but I liked that the MMC's body was flawed. Not a perfect specimen that is typical in romance novels.
The characters had dealt with different forms of trauma and had their own personal boundaries to get over to find a better life.
All in all it was a good book, but not one that I loved adoringly.
This is a multilayered novel: there's the second chance romance, the humour part, and there's the story of two flawed and damaged to person to healing and moving on.
Ivy Falls is a lovely setting, the perfect small town where you would be happy to live. Torran is trying to become someone in the world of house restoration, show on HGTV included.
Beck is a successful professional in the world of advertising and he once broke Torran's heart.
They meet an fight over the purchase of a house and this is the starts of a second chance romance and their path to healing.
Beck must leave old traumas behind, Torran must learn to trust and move on.
A slow burning novel, heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. You cannot help feeling for the Beck&Torran, root for them, and enjoy their banters.
It's the first in a series and the first I read by this author.
I want to read the next story and hope it will be soon.
Many thanks to Hera Books and Rachel's Random Resources, all opinions are mine.
This book was really cute. Much more serious in parts than I was expecting based on the fluffy cover! I loved the home renovation stuff, the small town feels, and the second chance romance. These characters were lovely.
3.75⭐
I loved the vibess.
It was giving Gilmore Girls vibes and i love that show!!!
It's a cute second chance small town romance book. An enjoyable and easy read too.
I'm in love with Ivy Falls and all the characters🩷🩷. And I'm also excited for the next book! I hope it's Manny's and Tessa's.

Super sweet small town romance. There’s lots of trauma and triggers, it it’s done really well. I’m not a big fan of insta love, but I was able to get over that pretty quickly with all the other stuff going on within the book.
This was a sweet and heartwarming story about second chances, learning how to accept and forgive. The story touch some heavy subjects but it doesn’t feel too heavy.
I quite enjoyed the book, I felt like it was a quick and heartwarming read that had me smiling through the entire book. I will give this a three star rating because I enjoyed reading it but it wasn’t the best romance book I’ve read.
Torran Wright's life is in shambles—her contracting business is failing, and her hopes of an HGTV show are dashed after a viral accident. To turn things around, she aims to restore a historic home in her small town, only to be outbid by her old high school boyfriend, Beck Townsend, who’s back after ten years.
Beck's return to Ivy Falls is meant to lay old memories to rest, but he didn’t expect to find Torran vying for the same house. When a disastrous accident reveals his lack of DIY skills, Torran reluctantly agrees to help him. As they work together, their old chemistry reignites, turning a professional arrangement into something more. Confronting their pasts and buried secrets, they realize it will take more than repairs to fix what broke them apart.
At first, the book seemed slow, but it quickly picked up pace. The author did a great job of depicting Torran and Beck's desire for each other. I like how they try to resolve their past issues, even though it's not going smoothly. I didn't expect something to happen between them so soon, already halfway through the book. Because of that, I was anxious, expecting something bad to happen. I was completely absorbed in that part and didn't notice anything around me. The characters develop excellently throughout the book.It was helpful that the book was written in dual POV, it makes it easier to understand how and why they did something and how they think. I recommend you read it, as it has a bit of everything. It's a very sweet second chance book, even a third chance—you'll see why.
3.5⭐️
Once I heard “Gilmore Girl vibes” I was all in. This was a very cute small town romance. It has everything you’d expect from a couple who returns to their hometown and fall back in love again. The characters were cute and quirky and I loved the scene during the “town meeting”. It started out a bit slow but picked up later with some unexpected twists that made the story more interesting and suspenseful. It has a very Hallmark movie feel and if that’s your vibe this is definitely for you.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
