When I first started thus book I stopped a couple times with a "ugh just another book" well I finally picked it back up and once I got into it?! I loved this book! What an enjoyable read! This book had suspense, intrigue, action, and so many crazy twists! And a bit of a who done it! I highly recommend reading this book! It was well worth reading! The storyline was very interesting, it sucked me in and had me glued to my Kindle! Enjoyed the narrative too!

I really can’t decide how I feel about this one. Throughout much of the book, I felt like I was missing a big piece of information. And not in the way of a mystery writer intentionally leaving something out for the sake of suspense. I thought it was my bad - like I had accidentally skipped over something and I kept wanting to go back and reread to see if I had missed whatever it was. This was super annoying!! I had not, in fact, missed anything. It was just the way the book was written, leaving the reader in the dark. I guess I just prefer to know when I’m being left in the dark, so I don’t waste my time paging back through the book to see if I missed something.

This book also contained a big pet peeve of mine near the end of the book, but I won’t get into detail about it, as I want to avoid spoilers. I will just say I let out an audible groan and rolled my eyes when it happened.

Those are my big gripes. The book wasn’t all bad though! It kept me invested. I was guessing the whole time. In fact I was constantly changing my guesses throughout the chapters. I didn’t really like any of the characters so that made it really fun to mentally accuse them of bad things. Overall it was just okay.

I have been wanting to try a book by L.G. Davis for a long time, so I was excited to listen to this one. Well I'm definitely a fan! This book is told from dual POVs - alternating between Brynn, who is counting down the days until her wedding, and "The Woman", the person who is out to ruin her wedding and wants Brynn's fiancé for herself.

This book was fast paced and I flew through it in just a few hours. This was a great popcorn thriller that packed a punch. The timeline is told starting 30 days out from Brynn's wedding to Nathan, and as we get closer to the big day, things get more and more crazy. There were so many twists and turns! There were secrets galore, and I had no idea who to trust! I doubted everyone. This story was so unpredictable and such a wild ride! I definitely recommend!

The narrator, Laurence Bouvard, did a good job, but I found her voice slightly annoying. I pushed through it in the beginning until I got used to it. It didn't take away from me thoroughly enjoying the book.

I have mixed feelings about this one.

Brynn is planning her dream wedding to the man of her dreams. Nathan is a criminal attorney away on a high-profile case up until their wedding day, leaving Brynn to manage all of the last-minute wedding details alone with her friends and wedding planner. All is well until Brynn's Mother-in-Law Debbie shows up, did I mention Nathans mother has been out of the picture and is not invited to the wedding? One by one things regarding the wedding start to fall apart, but who is sabotaging the wedding?? Is it Debbie or this mystery woman also in the narration and why?
This narrative is delivered in a dual POV by Brynn and another mystery woman who seems to be out to get Brynn.

Let me preface by saying I listened to the audiobook of this title.
I cannot tell if the characters were just not likeable or if the narration was too whiney. Brynn is not my favorite character. She seemed very desperate, helpless and whiney throughout most of the storyline.
Nathan is just okay, nothing great or exciting about him and all of the other characters were just bland.
For me it is hard to enjoy a book if I cannot find myself rooting for one or more characters and by the end, I didn't not really care who was who or who was doing what.
The concept is fun. The writing was fine. Just an "okay" book for me.

It kept me guessing what’s going on till the end. It was gripping and captivating story. The characters were uniquely created. I love the twist at the end! I enjoyed the secrets that everyone was hiding.

The author LG Davis never disappoints the readers. The narrator played Debbie very well!

I listened to this book rather than read it. I like listening to books when I'm running, going on errands, or doing chores. This is my first book from this author, but I don't plan for it to be my last in either audiobook or print form.

This thriller had me so captivated, I finished listening to it in one day! The main character Brynn is about to get married to Nathan and a lot of bad events/omens occur leading up to her wedding. It was a bit confusing at first, but as the book moves along it all makes more sense. I love thrillers because I go into them reminding myself the narrator is often unreliable and to make sure I do not trust ANY of the characters. Just when I thought I know what was happening, I was completely surprised by the events that ensued by the end! I cannot share more for fear of spoiling the book, but I. recommend this read if you are craving a fast paced thriller that is not as predictable (at least for me). I'm excited to listen or read the sequel since I enjoyed this one so much!

All in all, I give the audiobook narration 5/5 because it was easy to tell between the characters, and the volume was appropriate on all the narrations/chapters. The book itself I give 4/5 as I felt like the end of the book was a little rushed and we could have used more explanations, but maybe they will come in the sequel.

The doorbell rang and Brynn had an unexpected visitor, Debbie, Nathan’s mother; she stood there with her suitcase, insisting on staying to help with the wedding. Nathan had had nothing to do with his mother for years. The woman wasn’t invited to the wedding but is determined to stay with Brynn. Brynn can’t ask the woman to leave because of a previous incident.
A short time before Debbie arrived Brynn received a small gift along with a threat about the wedding. A cake topper is delivered with the face of the bride smashed. The wedding veil disappears. Incident after incident makes it obvious someone is determined to stop the wedding. Is Brynn in danger? Someone is obviously stalking Brynn, why and how far will she go?
Readers know little about Brynn’s past and yet we know she has a past. I can’t say I liked Brynn; I suspected she was up to something I just didn’t have enough information to know what. Debbie was obnoxious, unlikable and annoying. I did not connect with the friends or Nathan. This book has great potential but fell short. The ending of the book made little sense; it was confusing.

Wow!! This book was such a wild and crazy ride. I was so caught up in this story, that I could barely do anything all day. From the beginning it grabs your attention and keeps you invested throughout the entire book. I loved the countdown to the wedding day and the build up to something great. If you tried to guess who did what and why, the ending of the story erased all the guessing. I highly recommend this book. Thanks for the advance copy. I immediately went to look for book 2. I can’t wait to continue the story.

I enjoyed this book because the “ bad guy “ could have been multiple people as we got to know several characters. The story twisted and turned, causing the reader to make several guesses of who the perpetrator might be. It definitely made you sympathize with Brynn as she was targeted throughout. I enjoyed Debbie, the epitome of a southern belle full of “bless your heart” criticisms of the soon-to-be bride. I have read over 100 thrillers this year and pride myself in guessing the culprit. And I didn’t have this one figured out! Welcome to The Woman at the Wedding where everything that could go wrong does on the way to saying I do. This was one of the better books I’ve read this summer. The storyline has lots of twists that keep readers hooked. The writing style and narration was consistent but not predictable which is always a plus! Would def recommend to a friend!

Just when you think you have the story figured out, it takes a turn and surprises you in ways you never imagined. I was completely absorbed in this book and listened to it in one go.

It was captivating and kept me entertained, but I felt that the ending was rushed. The pace was steady until the wedding day, and then everything seemed to happen too fast. Fortunately, there is a sequel to this book that I am eagerly anticipating!

This was an entertaining audiobook with lots of terrible characters. The MC Brynn was dreadful…she was meek and overly calm while receiving threats throughout the book as her wedding date approaches. Her finance Nathan was even worse, he was absent for the most part. So flat and meh, a total flake. Dude falls in love with the change of the wind. Actually all of the characters were meh. Debbie was probably the most interesting.

This book while entertaining was way too packed with twists & turns. There was way too much going on. I was exhausted with this book by the time I was about 60% through. I felt like we kept going round and round.

So if you are able to suspend belief and want to listen to a good audiobook with Scooby Doo (unmasking) vibes you’ll wanna check this one out.

It was fun just not mindblowing. I liked it enough to listen to book #2 when it comes out. Sounds like it’s gonna be a fun one.

I finished this psychological thriller in one sitting, It was impossible for me to stop listening to twists and turns of this compulsive read. Brin is counting down the days to her wedding to the perfect man, Nathan. She is planning the perfect wedding at the perfect venue with the perfect caterer and guests. That is until there is a knock on the door and her past is standing there wanting to be let in. Suddenly little things start to go wrong in Brin's carefully crafted wedding plans. And then the little things become bigger things and even dangerous. I really enjoyed the twists and turns in this novel. It totally keep my interest and surprised me at the end. I'm happy to see there is a sequel and I look forward to reading that one too. Recommended for fun. 4 solid stars.

‘The Woman at My Wedding’ by L.G. Davis is a fast, fun thriller where maybe no one can be trusted and seemingly anything can happen. The story follows Brynn as she works hard to plan her wedding to her lawyer fiancé, Nathan, but things keep going wrong. First, her estranged mother-in-law shows up, then everything else starts to fall apart. Did I mention that frequent “am I being watched” feeling?

I very smugly thought I had the whole thing figured out by 17%, but luckily, I was mostly wrong. I love being wrong in a thriller/mystery theory! Now, there are a lot of things that happen in this that are wildly farfetched (especially in the last few chapters) and there are some parts that drag on a little bit, but I had so much fun trying to figure out who did what and who could I believe!

Because of just how farfetched things got and the parts that didn’t quite hold my interest, I’m giving this 3 stars. I liked it a lot, but I don’t think it’s one I’ll ever reread. If you like fun thrillers, give this one a go!

This one is an easy listen that progressed at a decent pace and held my attention throughout. It’s a well developed storyline and characters until it wasn’t. The turn of events went off in a mad direction for the last 1/4 of the listen. Im all for twists and turns and not seeing it coming but this just got a little bizarre. It builds the suspense but I will admit the outcome through me off completely as there was no indication and usually when you look back you have the ahha moments. Interesting listen but just didn’t flow well.

"The Woman at My Wedding" by L.G. Davis is a psychological thriller centered on a bride-to-be whose perfect life is threatened when her estranged mother-in-law reappears, knowing a dark secret from her past. As she struggles to maintain her facade and secure her future, she discovers that her closest friends might also harbor betrayals. The tension mounts as she realizes she must go to extreme lengths to protect her happiness.

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me. I struggled to connect with the main character, and the first 50-60% of the book felt very slow with only slightly odd occurrences happening to push the story forward. Additionally, the fact that two characters are introduced only to be referred to without any actual dialogue for much of the book added to the sense of disconnect.

If you're patient with a slow build-up, you may find the twists and turns towards the end rewarding (although unbelievable and out of left field).

Part of me wishes I would have read this one as opposed to listening to the audiobook as I think my opinions might have been different.

The books starts out strong, having a female lead, Brynn, planning her dream wedding to the love of her life while we get a dual POV from an unknown woman who's goal it is to stop the wedding and terrorize Brynn. I enjoyed the short chapter length as it kept the story moving. The first half of the book was very much set up to be ominous and leave readers questioning, like a good thriller does.

The second half though, did seem rushed. It was as though some of the major events were just passed right over. Toward the end where we start learning the truth and some back stories to make the events of the book make sense, it was all just breezed over in a chapter instead of given the depth it needed to make the story easier to connect with. All of the information we were kept waiting for was over quickly with no real emotional impact on Brynn. I enjoyed the beginning of the story, but wish the ending had more time spent on the revelations Brynn (and the other character's) learned and how it truly impacted life after.

As more things happen Brynn questions who she can trust, and whether her perfect day will turn into a nightmare.

Ms. Davis did not disappoint. Now anxious for [book: The Missing Bridesmaid] which is next in the 'Broken Vows' series.

This is only my second Liz Davis story. The other was "The New Nanny" which was a great page turner and left me wanted to read more of her stories.
