Such a sweet read! This read was such a fairy tale. I loved how sweet they were with each other and how they even met in the first place. The scene where they went dancing with her dad was adorable I wished it was longer!!!

It was a slow build up to get to where I was really connected to the characters. I think I just like more of a dialogue to really feel for the characters.

I would recommend this book to anyone in between reads needing a lighted heart sweet romance.

I love Juliana Smith and the entire Wells family. If youโ€™re looking for a soft and sweet romcom with a tattooed MMC thatโ€™s shy, sweet, and even blushes... look no further.

I loved the characters in this marriage of convenience romcom. Rachel is sunshine personified- she is a light to everyone around her and filled with so much optimism. Adam (a top tier book boyfriend) is a grump with a secret cinnamon roll side. He was ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ป ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ for Rachel from day one and I ate it up.

I loved the pacing, the dual timeline, and all the sweet, swoon-worthy moments. I canโ€™t wait to read the next one!

Julianna never fails to make me swoon for her MMCs! Adam is just perfection and Rachel is pure sunshine. The friends to lovers trope always gets me right in my feels too because it is how my husband and I came to be. I love that their was no miscommunication or lack of communication between the two which often comes with this trope so it just was incredibly well done. I will never pass up the opportunity to read something by Juianna Smith, her writing is just beautiful and her stories are so heartwarming.

"Youโ€™re not too much. Youโ€™re just right .โ€

I enjoyed this book way more than I imagined. It was so good. There was never a dull moment. The chemistry was so great between them ever since the very start. I love them so muchhh. Their friends group is everything. It was a slow burn after their first time. But I'm not complaining. I ate it up. Despite being a grump, Adam is such a softie at heart and the little things he notice about Rachel has my whole heart. Thank you to the author and netgalley for an E-arc..

This was an ARC I received. It's pretty cool to read this story. I've read 2 other JS books in the past. Her Christmas story, and the first book in the Wells Family series. While there was nothing wrong with her other two books, the growth between those books and this one is really noticeable. This story had a good amount of depth, and I honestly just fell in love with both of these characters.

This story was a dual POV, dual timeline best friend's brother-in-law romance.

Thought this book was super cute and loved! Loved the connection between Rachel and Adam. My favorite scene was them dancing with her grandpa :)

I really enjoyed this book! I loved Adam and Rachel so so much, they are both well developed and the chemistry is just so beautiful. Every song choice is spot on and I loved the record store plot line. Also, the depiction of Rachel's dad is just incredible and I cried a time or two because of how much it reminded me of my grandfather. Highly recommend this because it is a wonderful clean romance with so much heart that will probably make you cry but end up so happy!

โ€œI accidentally married (in Las Vegasโ€ฆ) my best friend's fiancรฉโ€™s brother with whom I already had a one night stand before.โ€

โ˜๏ธ Secrets friends

๐Ÿ‘ฐ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Accidentally married

I got this book as an e-arc thanks to Netgalley.

I love the whole accidental marriage what-should-we-do-now should-we-just-pretend-to-be-in-love ? Kind of books. Those are my kryptonite. Even though this story has some great tropes and on paper I should have liked it, I actually didnโ€™tโ€ฆ I mean, I enjoyed the beginning, with the whole secret friendship and the Vegas wedding. But the timeline was off. I didnโ€™t like the โ€œnowโ€ and โ€œthenโ€ chapters because most of the time I was confused in which timeline we wereโ€ฆ. I know that it seemed more interesting, and readers should want to know what happened and be surprised. But not me.

I liked the characters. Those two opposite personalities and how they fit together. Rachel and her love for music and her natural chaos. And Adam, with his rules and rightfulness. They make an unusual couple and thatโ€™s probably why nobody in their family/friends are seeing them. Really seeing them.

This was a 10/10!! I loved everything about this! My second Juliana Smith book and this one is it for me!
Marriage of convenience, friends to lovers!
Rachel was so fun, spunky and the life of the party. She had some much going on but she never let it diminish her life. She was literally handed struggle after struggle but she always kept a smile on her face. She knew she need good insurance to help her dad and then walks in Adam Wells to the rescue.
Adam Wells, Army and investor and caring Wells brother. Ugh he was spectacular!! He gave Rachel everything! Physically and mentally. He is the ideal of 'if he wanted to, he would' and HE DID! Their marriage of convenience was very one sided but the feels were just feeling!!! Their chemistry was very meant to be and they fit together like a puzzle. Unfortunately with the third act break up there was alot of tension and emotions but there was so much love that love conquers all. (cheesy) Their love was natural and real and I just loved everything about this!!

Adam Wells is something elseโ€ฆ

- he's grumpy, shy and blushes ๐Ÿ˜ฉ
- has tattoos, dedicated to the people he loves ๐Ÿฉท
- is supportive and even gets her dream store ๐Ÿฉ
- has a motorcycle ๐Ÿ๏ธ

I love biker boys!!!!!!!!!!

I love Juliana's writing. It's very atmospheric, vivid, and metaphorically beautiful. The characters have depth, added dimensions that comes with their experiences and how it shaped their present persona. The story constructed in two timelines, past and present which beautifully orchestrated Adam and Rachel's friendship and love, their newly accidental marriage in convenience to them finally realising that love stays no matter what

This was such a cute read. Iโ€™ve loved this entire series so far and this did not disappoint. The record store setting was adorable and I loved the depth with her dad.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ - โ€œDonโ€™t you think, in some way, youโ€™ve been mine since the night we met?โ€ - For the Record, Juliana Smith

If Juliana Smith writes it, Iโ€™m gonna read it!

Such an easy 5 star for me! Every time I read one of Juliana Smithโ€™s books, the new one becomes my favourite and here we are again!!

Dual POV
Marriage of Convenience
Friends to Lovers

I always enjoy how much thought goes into the covers of these books - but not only that, thereโ€™s the playlist and the fact that every chapter starts with โ€œCurrently Playing:_โ€

Adam and Rachel are just so freaking cute! Imagine your best friend knowing that they want to propose to you and have the ring for ages and then it happens on a drunken night in Vegas!!

Julianaโ€™s writing is definitely becoming one of my favourites!

For the Record is such an easy, feel good romance. I really enjoyed reading Adam and Rachelโ€™s relationship between the โ€˜Nowโ€™ and โ€˜Thenโ€™ and seeing their feelings grow. Sometimes dual timelines can become confusing, but every chapter was just so beautifully written. Both Rachel and Adam have a strong believable voice, so I knew where I was at in the story and whose perspective I was reading the chapter from.

Juliana writes in a way that makes it so easy to appreciate the characters and their story. Everything about them was really relatable from the start and I didnโ€™t want to put the book down.

A grumpy x sunshine trope, with a quiet, tattooed, โ€œsailorโ€(iykyk) MMC and flirty, music-loving FMC - weโ€™re taken through their relationship history of drinks, texts, secret meetings, fights and A LOT of understanding. They understand, accept and appreciate the other and it honestly radiates through.

From sourdough Starter pets, Spotify playlists, meaningful tattoos and daily notes on the fridge, For the Record is not from to miss!

Thank you to Juliana Smith and NetGalley for the ARC! Congrats again on the new release!

This book consists of the below tropes:

- Friends to lovers
- Grumpy x sunshine
- Dual pov
- Marriage of convenience
- Guy falls first
- Past & present timeline

I didn't realise the book was 4th in a series but it was really easy to pick up and read as a standalone without having read the previous books.

This was a cute romcom type book, where two friends wake up in Vegas having just drunkenly got married. Unsurprisingly we find out this wasn't spontaneous and they have a whole heated history.

What I really liked about the book was that Rachel and Adam just seem so completely at ease with each other and are the only people that each will let their guards fully down for. I also enjoyed how much Rachel loves music and the playlist the author shares for the character. Also when the book mentioned some of my favourite movies and TV shows, this really made me smile.

What I didn't enjoy so much was the miscommunication aspect and.. I just didn't quite get why Rachel basically asks Adam what is going on between them, more than once, and he can't just fess up? It was really frustrating for him to say he's had feelings for her since they met and she tells him to give her a reason not to start dating and he just doesn't say anything.
He later tells his family that he has done something big (no spoilers) and wanted to know Rachel's feelings weren't about this but... She didn't even know about the thing so that didn't make a lot of sense.

Also, and it's a little thing, the timeline/ages also might have been a little off? Rachel says she is 27 in one chapter and 26 in another and also that family left when she was 19 but then says her big sister left when the sister was 18? It's really small details but it didn't seem consistent.

I was going to give this book 3โญ but the author's acknowledgements pushed it to 3.5 for me because it's obvious how much it means to her, as the book is so personal and full of real life memories. I'll round to 4โญ for the rating for this reason.

Thank you to Netgalley, Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op and the author for the review copy, provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

For the Record is a book every reader needs to read if you love;

- Friends to lovers
- Grumpy x Sunshine
- He falls first and harder
- Marriage of Convenience
- Drunken Vegas wedding

Juliana Smith is an amazing writer, and her Wells Family series is one of the best ever. It's such a great soft and sweet rom-com that's perfect for a calm read. Adam is a quiet, tattooed active duty military member, who will make anyone fall for him. He is the perfect example of how he falls first and hard, with his tough exterior, yet is only soft for Rachel. She is a music lover who is the definition of sunshine in a grumpy x sunshine romance.

It is the best book and worth the read.

Thank you to Juliana and Netgalley

Iโ€™ve said it once and Iโ€™ll say it so many more times, I absolutely adore Juliana Smith and I donโ€™t think she could write something I donโ€™t love. Adam and Rachel are absolutely wonderful. Their growth in their friendship and relationship and the way it built between the dual timelines was perfection. I really enjoyed Rachelโ€™s relationship with her dad and seeing glimpses of him and Adam as well. Adam might be one of my favorite, he might not say much but he shows it in his actions if youโ€™re paying attention. Heโ€™s the best grumpy cinnamon roll Iโ€™ve ever met..read..you know what I mean! If I had to change one thing it would be the little TINY third act breakup it was a bit dramatic in my opinion but it got resolved fast enough I let it go ๐Ÿ˜‚. Overall, Itโ€™s a sweet easy read packed full of heartwarming moments, laughter and glimpses of your favorite Wells family characters.

If youโ€™ve not read this one yet itโ€™s now available on KU along with the other Wells Family books- I suggest starting from the 1st and reading them all!

Overall, a sweet, romantic comedy. I enjoyed the use of songs throughout the book, I love a good book playlist. The writing style is quick and easy to read, though some of the switches between then and now was a bit choppy.

truly Julianaโ€™s writing is some of my absolute favorite. it is so easy to just get sucked in and appreciate the characters and the story! Her books are generally feel good, head over heels romance and theyโ€™re quick reads that will have you scrambling for your next book.

this was probably some of my favorite writing from Juliana. The characters felt relatable and effortless. Their story was captivating and sweet & i will always say i am a sucker for a marriage of convenience. I really enjoyed the aspect that he planned to marry her before the agreement cuz he fell hard and first!

Would absolutely recommend & go back for more from Juliana.
