I absolutely loved this book , it was better than I expected . The story was brilliant and very unusual. I love this author and have read most of her books so I should have known it was going to be a good one . I would definitely recommend this book and give it 5 stars . Can’t wait for the next book from this author

This is the first book I've read by this author and all I can say is WOW!!! What a brilliant fast paced read.
Anna's husband Ollie died during surgery, now Anna is going to make surgeon Theo pay for what he did. She starts dating him and soon they are engaged but his grown up children don't like it at all. Soon she starts receiving threats and someone is out to get her is it Theo or someone else.

This book was not as I expected........................it was better! A great story with twist after twist. Just when I thought I knew where the story was heading...............and another curveball twist. Brilliant, and all the loose ends got tied up nicely at the end .

I was completely hooked on this book. It is full of twists which makes it so unpredictable and adds to the suspense. When you think you've guessed then boom the shock, your completely wrong. Absolutely fantastic.

This book was full of mystery, twists, and turns – I read it in one day! Just when you think you know what’s coming, something happens, then something else - well, you get the picture.
I have previously read two of Rona Hansall’s books so I figured this one would be good and it did not disappoint – probably the best of the three!

Another brilliant book from this author, just my cup of tea, well written full of twists with good characters.

I especially love books like this when I get into the storyline from the beginning. I thought I had guessed who the culprit was but no, way off the mark.

It was a fast paced thriller of a read and what can I say about the ending apart from fantastic with everything brought to a satisfactory conclusion.

Wow! Rona Halsall does it again! What a fantastic read. The characters are amazing and kept me reading long past my bedtime. Such a game of cat and mouse that I had no idea who to trust. This one had some stalkerish creepy vibes and tugged on every human emotion. It felt like a crazy great roller coaster. Well done Rona!

Quickly we know that this is definitely a revenge story for Anna and her husband who died due to a careless surgeon who is Theo and now she’s trying her hardest to get his attention and get as close as she can to him for the sweet revenge she craves for her late husband. This one is juicy and pretty fast paced and so interesting. Leads into fake dating for Anna and Theo which is fun.

Quickly we know that this is definitely a revenge story for Anna and her husband who died due to a careless surgeon who is Theo and now she’s trying her hardest to get his attention and get as close as she can to him for the sweet revenge she craves for her late husband. This one is juicy and pretty fast paced and so interesting. Leads into fake dating for Anna and Theo which is fun. There is some minor grammar errors throughout. Anna starts to get into mind games with what she thinks is Theo’s kids that don’t want them together. Around the 50% mark everything turns upside down for Anna and she starts to second guess her whole idea she had in the beginning along with drama, lies and everything quickly unfolds as the story comes to an end, this also was pretty predictable but still entertaining I recommend to anyone who loves Psychological mind game stuff and revenge stuff.

This was another incredible read from this author whose books just keep getting better and better.

This was another fast paced edge of the seat psychological thriller that I couldn’t put down. I always know with this authors books that I need to read them when I don’t need to do anything else so can read in one sitting.

This was a perfect and engaging revenge read and would make a great tv adaptation.

Look forward to seeing what this author writes next.

The 2024 physiological thriller, full of twists and mystery.

Rona Halsall is well known for her fast paced thrillers, this novel is no different although more of a family drama. Anna's husband dies on the operating table and despite an inquest and an inquiry the surgeon responsible escapes punishment. Keeping track on Theos life, Anna discovers he is single and sets out to seduce him in order to take her revenge. What she doesn't expect is to fall in love with him. But then she meets the kids from hell and all her intentions go by the wayside.
Despite being the author of many books, this feels just as fresh as her first. Creative storyline and a brilliant read.

The Fiance started out as a simple revenge plot but became more complicated (in a great way) very quickly. As intrigued as I was with Anna’s plan to get revenge on her husband’s doctor, Theo, who she is sure caused her husband’s death, he and his family ended up taking this plot to a more elaborately dark place.

Without sharing too much to take away from other reader’s enjoyment, I will say that Theo’s wife had passed away by suspected suicide around the time his negligence killed Anna’s husband, and the circumstances around that become clearer as Anna grows closer to the family. I loved the twist at the end and the realization by Anna after all comes to pass that revenge may not be worth it. Stellar revenge book with more to offer to those who were as curious as I about the plot.

The whole medical community covering up for each other - certainly doesn't sound unbelievable!
I have read a few of this author's books, I always enjoy them but feel they are a bit mills and boon at the beginning. But then they get dark!
Full of red herrings and twists and some very dodgy characters, this was a good domestic noir/family drama.

Rona Halsall certainly knows how to keep her readers engaged, The plot was well written and all I wanted was to get to the end to see who was behind what was happening to Anna, I did have my early suspicions about one particular character who seemed to always be close by. Definitely another five star read.
