I am grateful to the publisher and netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest unedited review. All thoughts are my own. As someone who is not of the same community as the author, I think I perhaps wasn't the target audience for the read. I assumed before picking up the book it would be a more general perspective of spiritualism and I found I was unable to relate at many parts of the book. However, I am glad to see those who sought out this read and are able to relate from the teachings and practice of the author have benefitted from it. There were some aspects dotted at various points in the narrative which were helpful in putting things into perspective, detaching from the materialistic and reflecting within ourselves to learn the greater truth of spirituality which I really valued and enjoyed. Thanks again for an advanced copy of the book

A wonderful journey from psychedelic highs to finding spiritual ecstasy, all well narrated. It's truly inspiring to see how she finds her purpose in India. She describes it as the yearning to merge with the infinite divine, the Parabrahma. Her learnings from her guru, who she addresses as Baba, (in person and in her mind) are interesting. Her spiritual community, retreats and teachings are admirable. It's interesting to see how she balances her spiritual and worldly life well; although, the yearning for the former is always there behind her mind. For a foreigner to travel miles and adjust to a new world is commendable. Overall, a good read.
