Difficult to place this in a category, but I could not get into it and stopped after about 20 pages. We see Dennis through his early life, his knot-tying merit badge, his relationship with his eccentric grandfather (the best of the characters in the early going) and then I let it go.

This was a really fun read. It was a very humorous look at how easily one can overestimate their abilities. I don't know if it was the authors intent but there were numerous life lessons to be learned in this comical coming of age.

This one was just not for me. I’m going well against the other reviews I’ve read but I couldn’t engage with the character at all.
