Until Adleigh, follows Adleigh a rocker running away from her life back to the life she previously left when her brother died. Betrayed by those she loved, Adleigh returns to her parents with a broken heart and a lot of trauma to deal with.

Colter a similar situation to Adleigh. He has been cheated on by his long time love.

I did enjoy the relationship between Adleigh and Colter but it did feel rushed and the book is on the shorter side. They both had a lot of trauma and issues to deal with that I feel could have been fleshed out more.

They needed therapy not all of the sex that they were having to avoid their issues. I feel like it could’ve been longer to give them the ending they deserve but otherwise it fell flat

Until Adleigh by Alyssa Milani is a short novella about a rockstar who returns to her small Texas town after she discovers her fiancé cheating on her. There are themes of loss and grief (her brother's suicide is what made her run away six years before), and of course there's romance as she falls for the man who has moved in next door. They've both been cheated on and have major trust issues they have to work through. The steam is steamy, and the writing was fine. But I didn't love the stereotyping of small town Texas people, and she kept misusing "ain't." Also, having been born in the Dallas area, which is the city closest to this fictional small town, the portrayal of the area didn't feel realistic at all. My family EMBODIES small town Texas, and they have the accents to prove it, and it just fell flat for me.

2.5 stars, rounded up to 3.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Adleigh and Colter. Adleigh comes home after finding her fiance in bed with her best friend. She stops at a bar before she reached her home and saw Colter there. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He gave her a ride home, it didn’t hurt that he lived next door. They kept ending up in the same place. They started dating. They fall in love.

This was a nice mixture of spicy and sweet. The storyline was easy and fun to follow. I loved the characters and how everybody mended their relationships throughout.

I hate to say it but this one was predicable as well as not being believable. I mean how often is a farmer going to fall for a rock star.

This was my first Alyssa Milani book but it will not be my last! This book was everything I love to read, angsty, rock star/country boy.
Adleigh and Colter have my heart, I could read 10 more books of these two!
I don’t know why I waited so long to read Alyssa’s books but I’m so looking forward to making my way through her backlist!

“Until Adleigh” by Alyssa Milani is a contemporary romance that intertwines the lives of Adleigh, a rockstar retreating to her hometown after personal betrayals, and Colter, a grumpy farmer with his own emotional scars. Their unexpected connection leads to a journey of healing and self-discovery. While some readers appreciate the novella’s quick pacing and the chemistry between the protagonists, others feel that the rapid progression of their relationship lacks depth and realism. The story addresses themes of forgiveness and personal growth, though its brevity may leave some desiring more character development. Overall, “Until Adleigh” offers a heartfelt narrative suitable for those seeking a swift, emotionally charged romance.

This author is new to me, but I will be keeping an eye out for anything else they publish. I loved the story and the characters. The pacing of the story was great and the characters were relatable.

Adleigh is back in her hometown after up and leaving 6 years ago. Her fiancé cheated on her and she needed an escape. Feel ya girl. But maybe keep in touch with your folks before you just drop in on them?

Colton hasn’t long had a nasty break up either - his high school sweetheart was also someone else’s high school sweetheart…

Cue out there rocker girl and stubborn moody boy who fall for each other…. Well, kinda. It’s a little too toxic for me. And they both know it as well.

Both know they’ve got some trauma going on, yet this back and forth yes no between them is so ridiculous. I questioned how old they were - spoiler, he’s 32 and she’s (I believe) 24. Ok, so the idiotic toxic behaviour I could *maybe* accept from her. Only just. But him!? Nope. He’s old enough to not act like a total dickwad.

And let’s not talk about the chapter after the karaoke in his yard! Anyone else feel that was a little…grapey without the g?
He really lost me there, and then when he snapped at her again when she had to leave. Like calm down! It’s not even been a week!

Writing was good. Story - as an idea - was good. Maybe if it was longer and it could be passed out a little more it may be great. And check some scenes. We like dominate men, not toxic grapey ones :)

This is my first time reading something by this author. It was a quick but compelling read. Adleigh left home years ago after a tragedy and hasn't looked back, until now. Her present life is also a mess. After she catches her fiance cheating on her with her best friend, she goes back home to memories of pain and trauma. Once back home, she meets Colter. He's got plenty of baggage of his own, similar to what Adleigh is carrying, and the two connect and begin to form a bond. Neither of them expected to form such a strong connection, but that very bond helps give them both the strength to move forward.
Although I felt the storyline could have flowed more smoothly, the story was gripping and emotionally charged, balancing both heartbreak and hope as both Adleigh and Colter began to deal with their pain and begin the process healing.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This was a fun and sweet read but a little too insta-love for myself. The characters were likeable but I felt sometimes very rushed, especially the side characters so I would have loved to see the premise and everybody developed more!

I feel like this version of the book was very rushed timeline wise, side characters appearing to only disappear quickly, insta-list straight into love etc. I also felt like there was a lot of unresolved trauma, that should have shown some care to before a relationship was started. Overall I liked the concept but not the execution as much, however I have only read the NetGalley version and not the revised version so, my opinion might change if I am to read the revised version, which truthfully I’d love to.

The story follows Adleigh, a rockstar who just found out her fiancé was cheating on her. She decides to escape to her hometown, where she runs into Colter, her new neighbor—who’s also a tall, grumpy farmer guy. The tension between them is intense, and the book is filled with ups and downs for the pair. I liked the whole rockstar-meets-country-boy vibe, but honestly, things moved way too fast for me. If you’re not a fan of insta-love, this might not be your thing. The ending felt a bit rushed, though the epilogue was cute. If you’re new to romance, this one’s pretty light on the spice, so it’s a decent starting point. Overall, it’s well written and super easy to follow.
The book was more of a novella, and while the storyline was sweet, I felt like it was missing something. Maybe the short length made it hard for me to connect with the characters? I think if there had been more background or character development, it could’ve been a stronger read. But, I appreciate the review copy from NetGalley and the author Lyssa Milani.
It was an easy read and I was hooked right from the start, but it just wasn’t long enough to fully develop the plot and characters. The insta-love was cute but maybe a bit much—like, the main characters were already saying 'I love you' just 11 days after Adleigh found her fiancé cheating, which kind of threw me off. Still, the epilogue was cute, and I did enjoy the book enough to finish it. In the end, it was good, but it didn’t totally hit the mark for me.

Thankyou to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Until Adleigh by Alyssa Milani is an emotional and captivating romance that pulls you in from the very first chapter. Milani has crafted a heartfelt story about love, loss, and second chances that resonates deeply with the reader.

Adleigh, the protagonist, is a wonderfully relatable character, grappling with her past and hesitant to open her heart again. The journey she embarks on is beautifully written, full of raw emotion and vulnerability. Her relationship with the male lead develops naturally, filled with sweet moments, tension, and undeniable chemistry. Milani does an excellent job of balancing romance with deeper themes of healing and self-discovery, making Adleigh’s story both tender and inspiring.

The pacing is just right, and I found myself rooting for the characters, eager to see how their love story would unfold. The supporting characters also add richness to the narrative, enhancing the depth and heart of the story.

Overall, Until Adleigh is a touching and uplifting read that will resonate with anyone who loves emotional romance stories about rebuilding and finding love when you least expect it. Alyssa Milani’s writing is heartfelt and engaging, making this a book you won’t want to miss!

A huge thank you to Alyssa Milani, NetGalley, and Amazon for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

** I received this book as an arc through NetGalley**

Until Adleigh follows Adleigh, a rockstar who just caught her fiancee cheating on her as she flees back to the place she grew up in and Colter, the grumpy, giant, farmer boy and now Adleigh's neighbor. Heavy tension and ups-and-downs follow this couple around constantly throughout the book. I did like the premise and the rockstar/country boy pairing but I felt like the book moved very fast. I personally am not a huge fan of insta-love and that is what you will find in Until Adleigh. The book ended kinda abruptly but I did enjoy the epilogue. The spice wasn't over the top, so this book would be a good place to start if you haven't read much romance before. This book is well written and was easy to follow!

I'd recommend this book to someone who likes contemporary romance, opposites attract theme, or if you are newer to the romance genre.

This book was really hard for me to get into, I didn't find the characters relatable nor interesting. The formatting on my kindle and ipad were both a ltitle strange, so I would recommend the publisher look into this. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read this ARC.
