Cute fast book that can be as interactive as the reader and child are comfortable with.

This is an adorable book written from mom to son expressing her love for him. It is a celebration of who he is and how she loves him for so many reasons. It has simple text and illustrations that make the story easy to follow for little ones. A great book to share.

Oh how sweet!

The loveliest of messages alongside humorous anecdotes and adorable illustrations.

My children are teenagers now, but as a parent I can fully imagine enjoying this with my younger children and we would both enjoy it together.

The sweet book, "If You Were Not You" written by Anita Prabhu is about a mommy donkey pondering the question, If YOU were not YOU...then who would you be? The book begins, "If YOU were not YOU... then who would you be?" In the book, many scenarios are presented about what life would be like if YOU were not YOU.

Here are two examples.

"If YOU were not YOU...then who would you be? Someone different...and unimaginable to me."

If YOU were not YOU...who would I play with in the park? Someone without...quite as much of a spark!"

At the book's conclusion, the author writes these touching words.

"If YOU were not YOU...I'd be sad beyond belief...YOU being YOU...is such a wonderful relief!"

In addition to being sweet, "If You Were Not You" is also entertaining.

The writing was indeed heartwarming and rhymed well. There was a good flow to it and I would happily read it again and again to my children.

The rhymes were short and to the point, but that kept the interest and afterwards made you feel positive and uplifted.

The font was clear and easy to read. The text was on the same coloured background throughout and had the same layout on every page which made it easy to follow.

The words used had different levels of difficulty so it could cater to a wide age range. I do think that it is best read to a child though. I think that they will get more out of it that way.

The pictures were separate from the text and added to what was being read well. They told their own story which was interesting and added a nice layer to what was already there.

Overall a lovely book that I highly recommend.

The story is cute.
I think the artwork could be better. Every second page is the exact same picture of a donkey - they could be switched up to different facial expressions at least.
The story is short and rhymes, which is nice for a younger audience.

Honestly, could have done without the fart (but I recognize kids enjoy fart humour).

I don’t think I’d buy this one for myself but if it was given to me, I’d read it with my toddler.

Super cute children's book inspiring them to be their true self and to embrace everything about them. You are loved because of YOU and not because of anything else. I loved the brief "potty humor" that kids always get a kick out of.

This book was absolutely adorable! The concept behind the book has not been talked about enough. My kids loved the main character and the story! It was a hit at our house. Wonderfully done

If You Were Not You by Anita Prabhu is a charming book that will bring giggles and hugs to bedtime because it's the perfect nighttime read aloud. The illustrations are silly and adorable and the rhymes are hilarious and heartfelt. I love the message and the beautiful way it's presented.
