Just finished Lost in Tuscany by Sophie Sinclair, and wow, what a delightful escape! The beautiful descriptions of Tuscany made me feel like I was there, wandering through charming villages and vineyards. I absolutely loved the characters! They were well-developed and relatable, making the story even more engaging. The romance was swoon-worthy and perfectly paced, with just the right amount of tension and sweetness. The plot kept me hooked from start to finish with its mix of romance and adventure.

If you’re looking for a book that transports you to a dreamy Italian getaway, this one’s for you. It’s perfect for a summer read or whenever you need a little escape.

This is such a perfect summer read that wisps you away to the beautiful countryside in Italy. Between the Italian language, the scenery, the pizza and pasta the author transport s you there. OHHHH what an escape, SIGH!
Add in the sweet love story, I mean who wouldn’t want to be swooned by a handsome Italian Stallion. (Another SIGH)
I love the way Sophie Sinclair uses humor that actually made me smile and giggle a bit. There was romance, laughter, issues with alcoholism along with Summer (the main character) finding a sense of family. This story is a feel good Happily Ever After that I fell in love with.
This was my first novel by Sophie Sinclair and she has me sold. I will definitely be reading more from her..
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC and thank you to Sophie for filling my last few days dreaming of returning to Italy.

An easy read that would be great for summer. I always love an Italian setting so it had the perfect atmosphere, the story is funny and heartwarming and the characters are sweet. There is a nice balance of humour, romance and found family

A cute summer romance that flew by! Summer books a Tucson bike ride after a horribly bad date and ends up staying the full summer. It’s very Under The Tucson Sun, and a feel good, happy, predictable book. It was just a great story, the drama not overly done and I love the ending!

Take me away to Tuscany in this five-star read. I have done many a drunken click and then woken the next morning, never a holiday, but never say never, there is a certain lemon festival, or even an olive festival if I can find one that may push me over the edge. Find your passion for Italian olives and love in this amazing story that sweeps you up and reads as smoothly as the most delicious olive oil. This story will wrap you up into the pages and have you booking a peloton class in no time. Or even looking at a new bathroom suite, as a certain sales man has a wonderful story to come I hope.

Summer Andrews starts her adventures in Tuscany on a group bicycle trip that comes to an end when she injures her hand in an accident. Not ready to go home, she finds a job and housing at an olive farm. While Summer started her trip trying to escape from her life, she ends up finding love, family and happiness. I liked experiencing Tuscany through Summer's experiences and found myself rooting for her. This is a perfect summer read.

Such a fun, sweet, beach read.

This story takes place in what I would like to say a sort of Eat, Pray, Love, situation. Summer knows something is not complete in her life and she books a singles only bike tour while drunk (also, she is my spirit animal for this, because this is awesome). Not only does she go to the tour, but she gets injured and then decides to stay longer in this sweet little town.

Does Summer find what is missing from her life? Will she pedal off into the sunset with her happily ever after?

These characters give you all the feels, and it was such a great plot and story. Definitely makes you want to book a trip to a foreign country for your own version of this novel.

Perfect beach read, book club, or just because you want a good feel good read.

Thank you NetGalley and Sophie Sinclair for my E-ARC.

Summer accidentally purchased a bike tour in Italy after a horrible first date and a few bottles of wine…which results in several new adventures and the most heartfelt romance with an Italian man. I loved the characters and the family dynamics that were touched in this novel. I feel like I want to sign up for a tour in Italy after this…but maybe with an electronic bike.

Definitely a cute must read #newromancebook 🥰

4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Lost in Tuscany is such a lovely book. Thirty-six year old Summer Andrews is stuck in a monotonous life and has been unlucky in love. She drunkenly books a bike tour in Italy and finds it to be nonrefundable in the sober light of day. She decides she needs an adventure hoping to meet the love of her life much like the heroine in her favorite movie. During the tour, Summer decides to prolong her stay in Italy for the summer, and lands herself on the doorstep of the Rossi Olive Farm for a job and lodging. Lorenzo Rossi is the son who is running the Italian side of the olive business. Summer must decide if her fate is to remain in Italy at Lorenzo's side.
Sophie Sinclair wrote a really heartwarming story, I found myself laughing at parts and smiling through the book. It is told only through Summer's point of view. The reader really gets to know her better and her developing relationship with the Rossi family. The setting of this small town in Tuscany was brought to life in my mind and I found myself wishing I could go visit with Nonna and to eat Lorenzo's sister's food. Summer's romantic adventure had me hooked from the start. This was my first book by this author, but will not be my last. Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC of this book. Having read all this authors Coffee Girl series and loved them I was really looking forward to this novel. Who is not to like a mad impulsive holiday in Italy? It. was an enjoyable read and the Rossi family characters were really well written. However I felt all the American ones fell flat and I’m afraid i have to include Summer in there too. They came across as rather one dimensional. I did enjoy the story and raced through it but could have loved it more if there had been more depth. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me access to an early copy of this book.

2.5 stars. A miss for me doesn’t mean a miss for you and I encourage everyone to give it a shot! However, I wanted to like this book, I really really did. I was a big fan of the writing style, tone and structure wise. The plot however was not it for me, I found myself trying very hard to believe a love story that just was not convincing. This was not a love I believed in, nor were there characters I was sad to see go. Cara as a best friend felt rather unsupportive and harsh, which was addressed towards the end but uncomfortable to read. Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.

every single character was insufferable other than Noona...between Cara being the least supportive friend ever and the MC being so self-centered this was really a hard read...one of the hardest dare I say.

i had to speed through the last %70 because it felt like we were just rereading the same conflict that happened earlier in the book and it felt repetitive. i know people of all ages can be confused but they're in their 30's acting like kids.

i know miscommunication is a popular trope but lets try not talking to your partner at all after they opened up to you! the first %30 was really good and i was so engaged with the characters but after the doctor visit it feels like the story should have ended...idk maybe that's just me.

“There’s something about Italy that’s magical. The people are so friendly, the views are spectacular. It’s like real-world problems don’t exist here.”

Lost in Tuscany was an amazing weekend read for me.

The novel covers the Life of Summer a graphic designer by profession in California and how one drunk evening watching her favorite movie under the Tuscan sun makes her accidentally book a bike tour in Tuscany, Italy. It was too late for her to ask refund for this serendipity eventually leading her to go on this single bike tour to Italy. Apparently, she did meet an amazing soul in Harrison, a decade younger than Summer, during the trip. I liked his character because he was the one who nudged her to extend her trip to Italy and explore the whole of Italy.

The novel follows Summer meeting the Rosso family and the hothead and handsome Lorenzo who she hooks up with & falls for and has an amazing bond with his entire family.

I like the description of Italian houses &Villas and most importantly the pizzas and gelato without which the trip to Italy is an utter waste. I loved summer's bond with Lorenzo’s Nonna(grandmother in Italian) his mother Stella& his sister Fiore, who was very sweet and easygoing. Also, she had a great friend in Clara & Damian. I envied Summer for having friends who constantly looked out for her.

I also enjoyed reading about the process of making olive oil at The Rosso family-owned olive farms,& Cafe that had a garden theme with a stunning view of Olive orchard. The major part of the book descriptively mentions the Italian food, the breathtaking and mesmerizing architecture and not to forget the detectable Italian cuisines. I drooled 🤤 at the mention of hazelnut gelato & Strawberry 🍓 shortcake 🍰 prepared by Fiore. She was an amazing chef.

What I didn't like about the novel was how it took so long for Lorenzo to realize he loved summer but was reluctant because he had a bitter past with Gabriella his ex-fiance. Also, I didn't like the character of Barbara as she was a terrible mother to Summer but later revealed how she was depressed when she had her at 16 & things get better between the mother and daughter.

I love the mention of the Italian language in multiple instances in this book. In a way it was quite educational and had a lot of information on Italy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and did feel that I accompanied Summer to Italy 😅. The book walks us through Italian culture.

Overall I loved it. It was very different from the novels I read in the past. The character development of Summer was well written and gives us a lesson that we should explore things and not hold ourselves from the Joy we deserve. An impromptu trip taught her a lot about life and people.

If you are looking for a vacation or weekend read, this book is perfect for you, and would recommend it to the ones who fancy Italy and Italian cuisines.
All in all a fulfilling read.

Thanks, Net galley BooksGoSocial & sophie Sinclair for the ARC.

P.S. Beware of Italian Men as Lorenzo advises & Italian Drivers as suggested by Fiore.😂

Who doesn’t want to drunk book a trip to Italy and have it be non refundable and have the trip of a life time?!? Me!!! Or well Summer in this book! This books made me SQUEEE so hard!

This book was such a fun read! I love Summer and her struggle to find the right balance in her life. And to be brave and go to Italy and open to fall in love because she knows something is missing in her life. I didn’t even care that this one was single pov because urgh i can feel Renzo’s intensity and want for Summer right off the pages!

Ohh maaannn!!!! Summer and Renzo are soooo cute! GAWD! Who doesn’t want an Italian Stallion who’s a romantic and tells you how beautiful you are every day, and he can’t stop thinking about you, and stares at you like you’re the best olive in the whole world? Yes olive 😅🫒. And all the wants to do is touch you, and be with you, and is always looking for you…. - (ok IRL, it sounds sort of creepy and stalker-y, but i swear in the book these are not the vibes! 😂😅)

Urgh now I want to go back to Tuscany and eat pasta and walk through olive tree groves and be swept up in the romance of it all…..

This book was an absolute delight, a perfect blend of humor, heart, and the breathtaking scenery of the Italian countryside. This book had me laughing out loud from start to finish, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my journey to Italy. The vivid descriptions of the lush landscapes, olive groves, and quaint villages are so immersive that I often felt like I was right there in Italy, soaking in the warm sun and the rich aroma of olives.

What truly stands out in this novel is the heartwarming dynamic between Summer and Lorenzo's family. The Rossis are a vibrant and loving bunch, each member bursting with unique personality traits. They embrace Summer with open arms, making her feel like a cherished family member from the very beginning. This sense of belonging and community is beautifully portrayed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that is hard to resist.

The humor in Lost in Tuscany is another highlight. The author masterfully weaves in comedic elements through clever dialogue, amusing situations, and Summer's endearing inner monologues. There were numerous moments that had me laughing out loud. It's this lightheartedness that makes the book such a joy to read.

Never thought I would want to move to the Italian Countryside but here I am. This was such an easy, happy, read. I have never read a book by this author but when I read the description I knew I had to. It was a nice change to read about an “older” FMC vs. the college/mid-20s range. Summer is a 36-year old woman who wakes up after a terrible date and two bottles of wine to see she has booked a non-refundable trip and ends up having a summer that changes her life. Lorenzo, 34 year old who recently took over the family business, had plans, plans that are blown up by the stars. Nonna Rossi is going to make you laugh with her meddling and some slight scheming.

I could keep listing all the characters and how they all impact the book and the storyline but just know that with this book you are getting some spicy (maybe 🌶️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) enemies to lovers, found family, and so much more!

I loved the Italian dialogue throughout the book but now feel it’s time for me to learn Italian but it allowed me to put myself in Summer’s shoes with not understanding what’s being said.

Check the trigger warnings before reading the book, as the book does explore alcoholism and addiction.

A trip to Italy, complete with lots of pasta, gelato, and an Italian love interest?!? YES, PLEASE!

“Lost in Tuscany” was laugh-out-loud funny, steamy, and deeply emotional all in one! I had a hard time putting this book down! I’ve never been to Italy, but I felt like I was there as I read. If I didn’t already have a trip to Italy booked, I would be buying a plane ticket after reading this! I gave this book 4.5 ⭐️!

Review:
Lost in Tuscany is a delightful escape into the heart of Italy, filled with humor, romance, and self-discovery. Sophie Sinclair masterfully captures the essence of Tuscany with vivid descriptions that transport readers to its rolling hills, olive farms, and charming villages. The author's engaging prose and well-paced narrative make for an enjoyable and immersive reading experience.

Summer Andrews is a relatable and endearing protagonist. Her journey from a predictable, duty-bound woman to someone who embraces adventure and self-confidence is both inspiring and heartwarming. Lorenzo Rossi, with his enigmatic charm and deep connection to his family's olive farm, is the perfect romantic counterpart to Summer. Their chemistry is palpable, and their relationship unfolds naturally and beautifully.

The secondary characters, including the quirky cyclists and Summer's overbearing mother, add depth and humor to the story. The mishaps and adventures that Summer encounters on her bike tour provide plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, balancing the more emotional and romantic aspects of the narrative.

One of the standout themes in the book is the idea of stepping out of one's comfort zone and embracing life's unpredictability. Summer's transformation and the choices she faces resonate with anyone who has ever felt torn between duty and desire. Sinclair's portrayal of Tuscany as a place of beauty, romance, and self-discovery is both captivating and evocative.

Final Thoughts:
Lost in Tuscany is a delightful read that will appeal to fans of romance and women's fiction. Sophie Sinclair's ability to blend humor, romance, and self-discovery into a compelling story makes this book a standout. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or someone who dreams of exploring new places, this novel offers a perfect escape to the sun-drenched hills of Tuscany.

Rating: 4.5/5 Stars
