“She meets the man of her dreams in her dreams.”

Sarah Ready just does this so freaking well. She knows how to combine story-telling with gripping paranormal elements and make it flow together in a way that is unexpected and so refreshing. I love this series and cannot wait to read “Wished” next!

The narration on this was first rate and was very enjoyable, even at 2x speed which is unusual for me for narrators with any kind of accent. Very clear, very concise, and great storytelling skills.

Some details:
-Third in the series, but could be read as a standalone
-British voice narrator
-Elements of whimsy, magical realism, paranormal events, time travel…all of the goodness.
-Lots of flashbacks. Lots of “future visioning”. The time travel element of this is honestly just so good. A magic watch? SOLD.

Fun little book in this paranormal Ghosted series, and love this narrator!

The series brings an interesting paranormal element, and the dreamscape parallel universe of this story was a very intriguing concept.

This was lovely. I really like Sarah Ready's heartfelt magical realism. Fated is moving, romantic and sweet (and the last quarter was kind of edge of your seat stressful). And Ready writes in such a way that makes everything seem really poetic and meaningful.

I enjoyed the first half, and I expected the payoff to be satisfying, but I do think there were some minor flaws with the plotting. Sometimes it was hard to be that invested in dream people and I wish there had been more to tie the various storylines together before the end. Or maybe there was and I'm just dense. And, again, the last third of the book was perfection.

The narrator did a great job too. Really good emotional range and a nice voice to listen to for 13 hours.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher. I'm also excited that I have another Sarah Ready audiobook queued up to listen to next!

This book will take your breath away

This is book 3 in the Ghosted series but can be read alone. Fiona Abry and her younger brother Daniel run the Abry Watch Co in Geneva, started 180 years earlier by their ancestor. She is a single mom to her 8-year-old daughter Mila and is afraid to love due to a previous bad experience. Fiona is given the first Abry watch made and discovers that she has very vivid dreams when she sleeps while holding it. In the dream life her name is Becca and she’s married to Aaron McCormick, an amazing kind man who loves her and is definitely a dream guy. They have been married 15 years and have two kids - teenage Amy who loves to read and toddler Sean. This appears to be the perfect solution: Fiona can love with her whole heart in her dreams without the risk of pain.

I thought this story was captivating and didn’t want to put it down. It is unbelievably romantic, full of surprises, and unpredictable. You never know where she’s going to end up or what stage her dream life will be at from chapter to chapter, which keeps you wondering and reading and interested. You also don’t know how she’s going to choose between her two lives that are similar but very different, or if the dream life is even real. The audiobook also has an excellent narrator. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy of the ebook and audiobook to use for my review.

Content warning: some sexual content, parental abandonment of a child.

enjoyed both books in the Josh and Gemma series. I loved Switched (Ghosted #2) and wanted another book in the Ghosted series. The narrator was good. I enjoyed the rimantic story.

Thanks to Sarah Ready and publisher for my audiobook in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

I hope there will be more in this fun and quirky series.

4 stars.

This is the third book in Sarah’s Ghosted series. It follows the story of business woman Fiona Abry. Fiona gets a present from her flakey mum which shows her true dreams. She just has to work out how to get them!

I listened to this as an audiobook and I think I probably enjoyed it more than I would have if I was reading conventionally. I felt like I was able to be swept up in the story a bit more. I think this storyline was a lot more serious than the storyline in Switched with a lot less comedic moments and flirty banter between the characters.

I’ve read quite a few books from Sarah Ready now and like the humour and style of her writing. My favourite of Sarah’s so far is probably Switched, the second book in this Ghosted series. If you’re a fan of Ashley Poston I think you’ll enjoy this series with the same sense of imagination and paranormal/magical realism feel.

Thanks to @netgalley and the publishers for an ARC of this title.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advance listen to the audiobook for Fated.

I wish I could say I enjoyed this, but I had to start over twice and was still left confused. I'm sure if I had a physical copy it would be better, but with audio I was lost. The narrators were fine, though.

Fated is a dreamy rom com with a sci fi twist.

I was immediately sucked in with the intriguing premise. However I have to confess I had some trouble relating to Fiona and Aaron, and struggled to make sense of some of their choices. The relationship dynamics throughout had a bit of a cheating feeling to them, which felt uncomfortable, and isn’t my cup of tea.

Having said that I love the creativity of Sarah Ready’s novels and really enjoy the playful sci fi that underpins her rom coms. While not my favourite of hers for the above reasons, it was an engaging and easy read, and I can see it being really enjoyable and accessible to a wide variety of readers.

I enjoyed it both as an ebook and audiobook, and thought the narration really helped to provide context to the story, with great characterisations of Fiona and Aaron. 3.5 stars, rounded up.

Thank you Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC and NetGalley for this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

I was really looking forward to reading "Fated" because this series by Sarah Ready has captivated me, especially with its sci-fi elements that always manage to surprise me. The story is beautiful in the way it portrays heartache, longing, and love, in a way that we don't often see. Not only do we witness romantic love, but also the importance of platonic and sibling love.

Sarah Ready is an incredible writer, with her unique storytelling and incisive, profound narrative. She has woven a story of a woman learning to dream and then falling in love with the man of her dreams in her dream life. The plot is incredibly complex yet intriguing, and each chapter pulls you in, making it hard to stop reading. The dream setting in a tropical paradise, along with the cozy and comforting vibes of Geneva, Switzerland, will immerse you deeply into the pages of this book.

The ending was perfect, and you’re in for a roller coaster ride with how the last chapters were written.

This book was so sighhhhhh. I really hated for it to end.

Fiona is a successful business woman and single mom. During a party, she is shot. This triggers her mother to show up with a family heirloom. It allows you to dream your hearts desire and hers lives on an island with 2 kids and she inhabits the body of the wife who longs for another.

UGHHHHHH it was so good. Watching Fiona and Aaron fall in love in her dreams was so magical. It was very hallmark magical and I love books that do this. Fiona lives her regular life when she is awake and her dream life when she sleeps.

I won't spoil it for you but it is such a lovely story and I highly recommend it if you like clean romance with a lot of cuteness.

Fated is the 3rd book in the Ghosted series and it's Fiona Abry's story. I am really loving this series. Each story gives us something uniquely different yet otherworldly and this was no exception. The author's brillance and creativity
amazes me as the story progressed and I was hooked unable to put this one down.

After an accident, Fiona's mother gifted her an antique watch that's rumored to show you your dreams when you sleep. A bit skeptical, she still decided you try it and wakes up on an island as Becca, a married woman with two children.

We are taken on a journey with Fiona, as she navigates her real life during the day and her dream life at night. As the story progressed she slowly starts to care for her dream family and starts falling in love with her dream husband.

The story was well written and easy to follow and gave us memorable characters, swoony heartfelt romance, some heartache, unexpected twists that blew my mind and an ending I absolutely loved. It was a great addition to this series and I would highly recommend it.

I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Shakira Shute. She did a fantastic job with the narration, giving each character their own voice and personality and really brought out their emotions. She brought the story to life and it was a pleasure listening to her narrate this novel.

Fiona sees Aaron in a dream and in that dream she is not herself. Instead, she is a blonde haired woman by the name of Becca, who just happens to be Aaron’s wife. Fiona and Aaron have Instant chemistry, not attraction - chemistry. Anytime they’re together, they feel like they’ve known each other forever. For Aaron this is easy because he believes she is his wife of 15 years. But at the same time he recognizes, there’s something different.

I found the story hard to get into. Every time Fiona took out the watch to dream about Aaron I thought about Fiona‘s daughter, Milla. In the end, things did work out, and Mila did not get left behind and niether did Aaron’s children. I’d like to read Daniel’s story, which happens after this story, but was written before.

I’d like to think that Kelly for an advance copy and exchange for an honest review.

This was the first work I have read by Sarah Ready, but it won’t be my last.

Fated is the third book in the Ghosted series. This book can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the first two, but I was able to follow the story perfectly.

The world building is phenomenal. I felt like I was transported to the beach or to Geneva. I could almost feel the sand under my feet as I was reading. I adored the characters. I really enjoyed all the characters, especially the FMC, Fiona. Her love and empathy for others shines through with everything she does. I also enjoy how nerdy she is about watches. The MMC, Aaron, is perfect. His words are heartfelt and poetic. So many times the interactions in this book brought me tears of joy or heartbreak. I would say this book definitely picks up after the first half. I could not put it down. It picks up even more after 75%, at which point you may want to seclude yourself so no one interrupts you.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you’re a fan of romances with a Hallmark feel to them, this is definitely for you.

The narration on this was really good. I enjoyed everything about it.

Thank you NetGalley, Sarah Ready, and Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC for providing me with an ARC for exchange of an honest review.

🎧 Narrator: Shakira Shute 🎧

This was another really enjoyable novel from Sarah Ready! Magical realism is one of my favorites and I loved the way it was done here via the use of dreams. If I thought too hard, some things were a little confusing and had me thinking… wait how does that line up? But it was way more fun to just go along for the ride and not analyze it too hard. Magic isn’t always easily explained!

I am a sucker for a love story in books so I was rooting so hard for a HEA for our main characters. The hope and longing between the two was just 🥰.. And I wont spoil, but let’s just say this one had my heart in my throat towards the end. The anxiety!

I really liked this one on audio. Shakira Shute did a great job narrating. I do feel this story could have been edited down to be a bit shorter, but I still really liked it! This is my second audiobook from Sarah Ready and it won’t be my last!

I received the audiobook copy from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a perfect read for romance fans, especially people who love a little magic (think Time Travelers Wife).

Fiona is a single mother with a daughter and co-owns a watch company. Due to her past, Fiona does not believe in love.

The book mixes in a bit of magic when Fiona is gifted an antique watch that takes her to another life with her soulmate. This other life in her dreams is on a tropical island with a wonderful husband and 2 children.

The pay off of this book is towards the end. Swoon!

This is the third book in the Ghosted series by Sarah Ready. I really enjoyed Sarah’s second book Switched so was excited to be able to read this one and it did not fail.

This book follows, single mum of one Fiona who gets given a long lost family heirloom- a watch by her absent whilst growing up mother. She’s heard things about this watch and how it can make you dream your greatness desires. Was Fiona’s first dream really her desire or did she already have the most perfect life?

There was something in the way Sarah wrote this book that had me completely invested and hooked. I have to admit I’m not really one of those dreamy romantic type girls but throughout this book I was rooting for Fiona and wondering if she would get her happily ever after.

Romance

Favorite of this series so far!

Fiona is the co-owner of a watch company in Geneva, Switzerland. She got her heart broken a number of years ago and spends all of her time at work or with her daughter. She doesn't trust or believe in love. Her mother is very flighty and left her on her father's doorstep as a child, so Fi didn't have the best example for relationships. Her mother stops by for a visit and brings Fi a present. It's an antique watch - the first created by the company's founder. Supposedly, if you hold it while sleeping it will show you your fondest dreams.

Fi's dreams take her to a tropical island where she is married with 2 children. How can this be her fondest wish? How can she have such a strong connection to her dream husband?

Back in her real life, her dearest friend tells her that he wants them to try for a relationship. He has been in love with her for years and wants to marry her. Will she give him a chance?

I am normally not a fan of magical realism, but this one got me! I love it!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC of this novel.

I love this Author, every book I have read by her has been totally amazing and I always look forward to her next new release. This latest book was no different, as always it was an amazing story which you can tell has had some serious thought and research going into the content. The main characters are fabulous and very engaging with a great story arc and character development. Such a great fun story. The story also does a great job of keeping you guessing as to what is actually happening and how it’s going to play out. Definitely a must read. Five well deserved stars.
I had the audio book version, and thought it was narrated very well, the person gave a real depth of emotion to the main character.

This is my favourite of the series so far. I love Aaron and Fiona!!! I'm a little sad for Max but I am glad his book is next and he will find his happily ever after in the next book. Although I know that they don't fit and Fiona and Aaron are soulmates so I am glad with how the book ended! I also hope that Nina is not frogotten about because I feel like as much as she isn't happy in her 'real' life, her daughter shouldn't be overshadowed.
