This was a really fun read, and better than I expected (I guess I have certain stereotypes about Mills & Boon as a publisher). Alongside the romance, I was interested to see how the running aspect of the plot would be handled, as I'm a runner myself, and I'm glad to say that the author obviously knows what she's talking about when it comes to marathon training.
I liked main character Lydia, and I appreciated her confidence and ambition (even if she does only sign up to run the New York Marathon because she has a crush on a colleague at the architectural firm where she works). Luke, the personal trainer who she enlists to help her train, was adorable, and the development of their relationship was very believable. Side plots about Lydia's issues at work and Luke's desire to start his own business added more depth to the plot.
Thanks for the opportunity to read and review - I really enjoyed it.
I had a ball reading this book, it has the right amount of tartness and sarcasm as well as a strong plot line that carried through to the last page. The ending was predictable , but that didn’t matter a jot. Luke and Lydia are both fab characters, full of life and people I’d want in my friendship circle. There were tender moments and little pockets of joy that made me smile a si was reading. The crush is a real person and comes out of this well, Lydia feels a Wally but that is part of the development. Lydia’s sister and the work colleague are fun and add to the journey that the book takes us on. Read this book to smile and enjoy yourself through Lydia and Luke.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Mills & Boon, and the author, Elizabeth Hrib, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.
This was an ok read. I read it in an afternoon. It was easy to follow and had a ok cast of characters. I did find it a bit slow in places. Other romance readers might like it.
