I loved this audio!!! Small town meddling pseudo grandmas, and antique store and it’s rich, handsome owner, and some dogs too. Libby is trying to heal from her emotional absent grandmother who raised her, but desperately needs a job. And thanks the her Grandmother’s antique store- she knows the industry well. Benny needs someone to help manage his antique store, so he hires Libby for the job. Benny’s pseudo Grandmas Minilee and Opal invite Libby to join their Sawmill Bookclub. Can the Bookclub and Benny help heal Libby?

I saw sawmill and thought it would be more wine-centric.... I am not a lush I swear haha but the book was so much better than drunk people in a book club!

Libby trades in her big city life and goes to work for Benny at an antiques shop. I loved the energy between them and that she ends up with a dog she didn't want but actually needed.

Such a super cute small town romance with a lot of great writing and a lot of laughs.

I thoroughly enjoyed the audio and I hughly recommend it to anyone who loves small town romances with some epic senior ladies and a book group thrown in

A sweet small town romance story, super small with a population of 4. Benny burnt out from his job as a lawyer returns to Sawmill. There he has many happy memories of times with his beloved grandfather. Being that he inherited his grandfather estate he makes a go running the Sawmill antiques, but business is overwhelming and help is desperately needed.
Libby life has gone downhill, her well meaning neighbor tells her about a job looking for a bookkeeper and knowledge of antiques. The last thing she wants to do, but needing a change and desperately needing a job, she drives the 5 hours and is offered not only the job, but a free tiny apartment. Not sure with her past ghosts if this will work out she signs a 6 month contract.
A fairly predictable story, think Hallmark movie. A enjoyable fast read, lovable meddling old ladies will make you laugh. Thank you #NetGalley for this ARC. #TheSawmillBookClub

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC audiobook of The Sawmill Book Club by Carolyn Brown.

How have I never heard of this author before?? I truly loved this book.

Libby was neglected as a child and still has trust issues. She needs a new job and the only promising one is in a small town at an antique store. Libby packs up and drives to Sawmill to hopefully start over and save some money. This book is about starting over, figuring out who you may be, friendship, a book club, an amazing quirky cast of characters and a handsome man who is looking to settle down at some point.

I truly enjoyed this book. I can't wait to read more by this author!

Having read several of Carolyn Brown's books, I was eager to read The Sawmill Book Club. I was not disappointed. It is a charming read. The characters are reasonably realistic and relatable, I enjoyed the wit and wisdom of the "meddling" widows in the story. The plot moved quickly and a sweet romance kept my interest, Readers who enjoy feel-good stories will not want to miss The Sawmill Book Club. Brittany Pressley did a great job narrating Libby and Benny's story (and lest I forget, Elvis', the three-legged dog, story too!) which made for an enjoyable listening experience. I was given a complimentary copy of the audiobook through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review.

This was a lovely story. I really enjoyed the characters and the especially the surrounding environment! What is it about small towns? They are just so cozy! I love antique stores and this was set up so beautifully for the main characters! It was a closed-door, heartwarming story! My favorite kind!

Thanks to NetGalley and the author for this audiobook! All thoughts and opinions are my own!
