This is a middle-grade book and I am one of those persons who say without feeling guilty that this would be a marvelous read for the targeted range of age. I don’t see the problems with this kind of sentences and so I’ll write it on my reviews when I think they are appropriate. Yes, discussion time it’s ended (for now!) and we can go back to the review.

I liked the writing, most of all, and the world that the author creates. She’s really good at this and she has a really great imagination. Her world is original, full of surprises and new. For me, world building and the writing are the strongest suites in this book.

Emilie is a good main character and her adventure are captivating, even if sometimes I wasn’t so enamored by them and on a couple of occasions I was bored. But, as I said before I think that a teen, or a younger reader, would love this book, because it’s strange, magical, well written, with good characters and it’s full of adventures!

A well-written and enjoyable book, I am glad I requested this title and will be more than happy to pass the title along to my fellow library purchasers.
