For all lovers of timeslip historical fiction, Wow what a book thank you ever so much for the opportunity to review. I could not put it down. Would definitely recommend to others!
A wonderful time slip novel, that reminds me of Barbara Erskine. Adrianna moves to a cottage in Norfolk for a six month's sabbatical from her job in London, and becomes obsessed with finding out the truth about Ursula, a previous occupant of the cottage that Adrianna has rented. It is a story of Ursula being accused of witchcraft by many of her neighbours. I will not spoil the ending by revealing more, but I really enjoyed the book. Highly recommended reading.
This was an amazing read! The story of Ursula in the 1600's and the current story of Adrianna in the present flowed seamlessly to create the whole picture. Of determined women taking back their lives. And the ending was perfection!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGallery for the advanced copy in return for an honest review, I loved it!
The House of the Witch by Clare Marchant is a well-written and captivating book.
This was my first time slip novel and Clare Marchant did a phenomenal job with her writing style!
