Whilst I enjoyed this book I felt it was a little boring in parts with a lot of the descriptions about them all enjoying a cuppa. Not much happened throughout the book except the incident near the end and even that was over as soon as it had begun.
Overall, an OK read. Not as great as the first in the series unfortunately.
This is a heartwarming novel that captures the charm and warmth of village life in Cornwall. The story follows Megan, who moves to a picturesque Cornish village seeking a fresh start and a sense of belonging. The small village atmosphere is portrayed with authenticity, complete with friendly locals, community events, and the occasional gossip. The main characters are well-developed, with relatable struggles and growth throughout the story. Megan's journey of self-discovery and finding happiness is engaging and inspirational. Themes of friendship, resilience, and new beginnings are woven seamlessly into the narrative.
Sarah Hope's writing is warm and inviting, making it easy to get lost in the story. The pacing is steady, allowing readers to savor the moments and developments in the protagonist's life.Overall, it is a delightful read for anyone who enjoys feel-good stories set in charming locales. It's a testament to the power of community and the joy of finding one's place in the world.
This was a perfect feel good read that left a smile on my face. A brilliant read.
Megan has just left her husband after he tried to bulldoze the local dogs home. She ends up in a BnB nearby and starts volunteering at the shelter. She’s such a great character for this book, a happy go luckily person, but she has her problems. She has a great outlook on life and is positive. Loved this read, a sunny 5 star read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. This was an easy and enjoyable holiday read. Although I haven't read previous books in this series, it worked well as a standalone book. I was invested the budding relationship between Jay and Megan and the supporting characters added depth, although I did feel the book was a bit slow-paced at first.
Megan had left her husband due to his shady business practices and decides to help out at the Wagging Tails Dog's rescue shelter to try and make up for the problems that he had caused them.
I particularly enjoyed this story as Megan's problems really affected me, with the loneliness and financial worries that she is going through. It's always good catching up with the people in the shelter and reading the updates on their lives and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series to find out how Megan's life is moving forward. A great, cosy read that I devoured in a day.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.
A light hearted romance, perfect summer reading. If you love dogs, then this is the book to read. Loved the characters and the perfect location. Hope to read more from this author.
A lovely and pleasant read in a sunny Cornish village.
Megan has travelled the length of the country to escape her soon to be ex husband. She feels she needs to volunteer at wagging tails the dog rescue centre she stopped him from destroying to make up for his actions.
During her time Megan discovers what Lyle had really been doing and she learns how to thrive on her own. She meets fellow volunteer Jay and befriends him early on as he also has a lot of time on his hands.
A perfect story for dog lovers seeking a happy and easy going summer story.
Megan is left reeling when her husband Lyle tries to tear down the wagging tails dogs home. After finding out how devious a man he was she decided to divorce him.
She begins rebuilding her life firstly by volunteering at the home but Lyle then cuts her off with no money nowhere to stay and is trying to control her life again. Her friends at the home rally to help her get back on her feet.
She’s starting again but this time on her own terms.
Great read love this series and always good to catch up with the dogs home family.
A brilliant story by Sarah Hope, both heartwarming and romantic. Meet Megan who is volunteering at the Wagging Tails dogs home, trying to make amends for her ex and build some self esteem at the same time. Megan finds hope, acceptance and romance, more than she ever believed possible after leaving her ex. You won’t be able to put this book down, transport yourself away to the beautiful Cornish countryside.
This is the perfect summer read! I absolutely loved it. Everything about this book just makes me smile. Fabulous characters and location.
You just can't help being captivated by the lovely dogs in this beautifully written book. The story was beautifully written full of love, friendship and support for the characters which was heartwarming. I really enjoyed reading Megan's story and the hardship she was going through and also the happy changes going on in her life as well. A perfect summer read.
Loved this one! Great and fun read. Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the publisher, Netgalley, and the author for my ARC.
I absolute loved this book and read it in one sitting! It’s amazing how dogs can help heal people and get them through anything that they just show you unconditional love. This book was just beautiful from start to finish and so heartwarming, from things working out for different people and just how much love a dog can give and be given!
I would highly recommend reading this book if you love dogs and are looking for a feel good and heartwarming book that you can’t put down!
I would like to thank Boldwood Books and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book early!
I would describe this book as a cozy romance. Being a dog lover, I really enjoyed the dog rescue element of the book but Megan's storyline left me wanting more. I had a few unresolved questions at the end. Considering this is the 4th book in a series, perhaps this storyline will continue on into another book and resolve some of the unsettled questions I was left with. If you are looking for a cute, quick feel good romance with a simple plot, this is a great book to pick up.
Thank you to the author, and Boldwood Books via NetGalley for an opportunity to review this book.
Another story centered around Wagging Tails Dog rescue and the staff and volunteers. Here we continue to learn more about Megan, newly ditched from the villain of the previous story. Good characters though I was disappointed nto everything is tied up at the end.
This is a sweet book. It made my heart happy. I would recommend it to fans of lighthearted fiction. This book is a must read!
From the very first page of this book, I was stunned, mesmerised. Written with a ferocious passion that'll knock the wind out of you!
I’m so sad it's over. I could have read another sixty chapters . . . A fantastic read!
Such a darling book! I loved the characters, and the setting was just adorable. Such an adorable story! Loved it!
