It was wonderful to get back to Skye and pick up with the three sisters and their lives. I love the set up in the country house estate, and it's also a pleasure to experience the island in winter this time.

This story is packed with family, emotion and love.

Ezzie is a great character with her fair share of issues, and Mats is suitably swoon worthy.
The difficulties the leads face to love seem impossible to overcome, and I couldn't stop reading to find out how a happy ever after was possible with so much against it.

Mats young kids were adorable. And Ezzie meeting her birth family led to plenty of teary moments.

A brilliant read and I'm looking forward to the last story in the trilogy next year (though it will be a shame to leave the Isle of Skye).

Easily read as a standalone or as the second book in the Skye Sisters Trilogy, this is full of warmth, magic, winter and romance. Beautiful setting, characters and traditions, Sue Moorcroft is the queen of contemporary romance and gently weaves the reader through chapters of light domestic drama, dilemmas, and romance, to a satisfying conclusion. Already looking forward to book three and discovering Valentina’s story but it was great to revisit old characters and discover new!

What a joyful read, made more special because it oozed with festive spirit despite the drama the protagonist, Ezzie, found herself in. It was lovely to return to Skye in its wintery glory and catch up with the Wynter sisters. The strong bond between the adopted siblings, Thea, Valentina and Ezzie drew me into the last book and the threat to this status quo in this one kept me turning the page. Ezzie was flawed; her quick reactions to events had the ability to hurt but having an insight into her emotions and vulnerabilities made them understandable. She deserved a happy ever after but with many emotional twists and complex complications, it was not a smooth journey.

Things weren’t easy for newly divorced Mats either. A father to adorable Astrid and Alvin his protectiveness and also quick to judge personality provided tension and chemistry between himself and Ezzie. The family dynamics added warm layers to the story and provided much of the festive charm. Rothach Hall, was a perfect location for a Christmas romance. I loved the contrast between the festivities of the rich clan in the Hall and the more grounded celebrations in the village’s fisherman cottages.

This emotional, immersive and uplifting book was one about complex relationships, found family, reflection and secrets. This series is one of my favourite of Sue Moorcroft’s novels and I can’t wait for the next one. This year’s festive publications are strong and this is one of the best.

I've already bleated on about my issues with the writing, particularly of dialogue in Moorcroft's work, so I won't repeat it again here. These books are like a cosy blanket that I get out in the summertime and at Christmas. This one has a lovely setting, Moorcroft really brings Skye and the houses to life.

This one is a rather predictable romance between an English woman and a Scandinavian man that I feel I've already read before in Moorcroft's work, however Mats is a much less likable character than in previous books. Inger is rather cookie-cutter 'selfish mother' and Ezzie's narrative voice is much to close to Thea's. Everyone sounds too similar.

Some of the plot devices were a little too convenient for my tastes, but overall I enjoyed this read.

A return to Rothach and the sisters we met before. This is Essie's story. The boss and her family arrive for christmas and Essie grows close to the son Mats but he lives in another country, how could it possibly work. Plus a visit from her past she has to confront. This is quite the emotional christmas for her.

Aww I was so looking forward to the second book in this series and it did not disappoint. I'm loving the festive feel this time and it makes me want to visit Skye. This was a lovely story full of drama, emotion but lots of heart warming moments too. We see it all through the story. The characters are wonderful as ever and its lovely to catch up a bit with Thea and Dev as well. The plot is well developed and keeps moving to the wonderful ending that I think finished the story just right. A beautiful festive read and I look forward to the third book.

This wonderfully festive story gets my Christmas reads off to a fine start as returning to the beautiful Isle of Skye in this second novel of the Skye Sisters trilogy has been a real delight.

This novel focuses on Ezzie Wynter who is the newly appointed manager of Rothach Hall and together with her sister, Thea, the head gardener, we get a glimpse into the running of this delightful Scottish manor. When Ezzie receives the news that the Larsons, the Swedish owners of the property, are arriving earlier than expected for Christmas Ezzie is determined to prove to them just how efficiently she is managing everything but with the family’s arrival comes a set of problems for Ezzie and also the arrival of some unexpected visitors causes Ezzie to reconsider events from her past.

Whilst it would be perfectly possible to read this second book as a standalone, it does make sense to read Thea’s story in the first book as that way you get to understand the Wynter sisters and discover more about the owners of Rothach Hall and their place within the story. This one introduces us to Mats Larson, the eldest son of the family who, newly divorced, seems to have quite a lot going on in his personal life, which is in danger of spilling over into his time at Rothach Hall. There’s a nice blend of family time spent with the Larsons, along with delightful visits to places on the island and yet it is the burgeoning romantic relationship at its heart which makes this into something rather special.

Both heartwarming, and heartfelt, A Skye Full of Stars is such a lovely read that I was quite disappointed when the story ended as I would have quite liked to have stayed at Rothach Hall for a wonderfully festive holiday. However, there is the tantalising delight of the third book in the trilogy to look forward to, when we will discover more about Valentina, the third of the Wynter sisters, who will definitely have another fascinating story to tell us. Can’t wait to read it…

Loved the atmosphere and mix of characters that really came alive on the page. I felt as though I was experiencing life on Skye and couldn’t put this book down. The Winter sisters story was really intriguing with moments that really surprised me. Just the right amount of romance and plotline. I didn’t realise this was book 2 in a series but it can be read fine as a standalone. Fantastic and one I’ll definitely recommend!

This is another fantastically written book that has vivid descriptions which will make you feel that you are breaking your heart and then feeling it repair again, breathing the Isle Of Skye air, seeing the stunning scenery, and falling in love!! It takes you on a journey to the Isle Of Skye and I was devastated when I had to pack my case to come back home and leave it behind 😭 The title, synopsis and cover suit the storyline perfectly. This book is the second book in Sue's stunning 'The Skye Sisters trilogy' but can be read as a standalone.

Another absolute beautiful book from Sue and her 25th book at that!! Sue is one of those amazing author that you just know you are going to fall in love with any book of hers that you pick up!!! She is my go to author whenever I am looking for a pick me up and she does the job each and every time. This book is the perfect read with Christmas just around the corner and will make a perfect gift for any book lover!! In this beautiful addition to this series Sue yet again transports us to the stunning Isle Of Skye where we meet Ezzie Wynter (again for those who have read the first book).If you have not read the first book (again, it does not matter and you can read this first) it introduced us to the three Wynter sisters with the first book being focused on Thea and this one with Ezzie after they both moved to the Island of Skye for a fresh start. Ezzie is now the manager of Rothach Hall which is owned by the Larsson family. Winter is normally pretty quiet at the Hall but Ezzie is preparing for the Larsson's to return for the holidays. The atmosphere and area was gorgeous and I was completely swept away!! This book flooded me with emotions and there were many times where I had to reach for the tissues so make sure you have them at the ready!!! It is one of those books that it doesn't matter whether you are curled up on a winter days on the sofa in front of a fire or sunbathing on a beach in the Summer as Sue will whisk you away in the blink of an eye. Although this is the second book in Sue's 'The Skye Sisters' series I would have had absolutely no problems reading it without reading the first book 'Under A Summer Skye' first. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader.

There were so many large and unique personalities in this book and thanks to Sue's amazing writing skills each and every one of them came alive. Sue portrays the characterisation and personalities of all of the characters perfectly ensuring they come to life in front of you with their unique personalities, flaws and absolutely everything to make them jump out of the pages! I loved seeing all the friendships and bonds develop between the different characters and seeing them grow in strength throughout. I really cannot wait to meet many of them again in the next book in this series as they very quickly came to feel like friends to me rather than just characters in a book. They all worked brilliantly together to make this an absolutely fantastic read and I loved seeing their interactions and watching their characters, personalities and relationships grow and develop through the pages. Sue has created such amazing characters that I became immediately invested in and was sad to say goodbye to. I absolutely LOVED watching all the separate relationships develop and change between the characters and I would love to see where each goes and what they get up to next!! This book was filled with a lovely range of characters so a huge WELL done to Sue for bringing them to life!!

Overall an absolutely gorgeous, festive, page turning novel filled with friendships, love and family that will keep you up late at night.

It's the second in the Skye Sisters Trilogy and it was an absolute delight to catch up with the Wynter girls for Christmas at Rothach Hall.

I immediately felt back at home and it was like I'd never been away. The characters are warm, welcoming and such a charming bunch of personalities to be spending the festivities with.

Ezzie's story centres around her new position as Rothach's manager and her blossoming romance with Mats Larsson, the Larssons being the owners of Rothach.

Guaranteed to give you all the festive feels, A Skye Full of Stars was an absolute delight to read and I can't wait to catch up with Valentina in the New Year

I really enjoyed Ezzies story, it felt quite refreshing to have an older female at the heart of a romance story. There was so much more to this than romance though, it was also about family and sisters and all of the friendships and relationships a person has in their lives. I loved it and I cannot wait for the last book in this trilogy.

I've read a number of books by Sue Moorcroft and always enjoyed them as they're well plotted, full of emotions, heartwarming and poignant at the same time.
I also love how the novels are always rich of details and describes the wonderful places where they're set and don't turn them into a sort of alternate romantic fantasy place.
I didn't read the first book in this series and will surely do it as the story sound the right one for me (Can't miss a story featuring a gardener).
I rooted for Essie, was glad to meet new characters and meet the other sisters. There's a festive atmosphere but also a more serious layer that talks about self-discovery and the power of affections and how other can surprise us.
It was a sweet read that made me smile, highly recommended

The second book in the Skye sisters series (although you don't have to read in order) is magical - a real escape in the Scottish island. The first book concentrated on Thea and this one Ezzie - a beautiful tale of the journey she has been on and how every action has an affect.
If you love Christmas and family sagas then this is for you. Delightful and can't wait to read more by Sue Moorcroft.

This is the second book in the Skye Sisters Trilogy, set on the scenic island off the west coast of Scotland. The books feature three sisters unrelated at birth but adopted by the same couple. The first book centred on the youngest of the three, while this story focuses on the middle sister. The book’s cover beautifully illustrates the starry sky visible on an island free from light pollution.

Ezzie Wynter, the middle by age of the three sisters is a great lover of Christmas. She is currently manager of the Rothach estate on Skye, which is owned by the Swedish Larsson family. Unusually, the family are due to visit the hall for Christmas this year, so Ezzie is busy looking out decorations and planning menus for the large party which will include several adults and children. In her previous role on the estate, Ezzie didn’t have much contact with the family, but now she liaises with them directly and is finding Mats Larsson, a handsome but determined divorcee who is visiting with his two young children, difficult to deal with. To add to her load, Ezzie is suddenly faced with unexpected visitors who turn her world upside down. In the midst of this stress, she finds help and support from a surprising source.

I very much enjoyed this tale, set on the snowy Isle of Skye. I was treated to wonderful descriptions of the marvellous scenery being experienced by the characters. The estate and its hall were also well described, making me wish I could visit. Ezzie is a really strong person who I met in the first book in the series, but got to know in greater detail here. She certainly had problems to deal with and a very different Christmas from what she had expected. I found the visitors from Sweden very interesting. There was a lot of family drama going on there. Mats sounded very attractive but had an annoying habit of speaking without thinking which made him not altogether likeable. However, Ezzie found herself attracted to him and his adorable children. The author also presented the reader with some interesting facts about Swedish traditions at Christmas time. I can recommend this book as a perfect festive read.

In this second of the trilogy, readers are reunited with the Wynter sisters, Thea, Ezzie and Valentina.
As the snow falls onto the mountains and hills, enhancing the scenery, giving it a picturesque festive feel, readers are treated into entering the manor house, Rothach Hall. Ezzie is the manager here and this is where the book’s focus is. It highlights the hard work that goes into creating a festive feel. The itinerary dwarf’s the average house hold by a “country mile”. There’s added pressure as the Larson family, who own this grand manor are flying in. She’s a lot to contend with because they’re highly demanding and it becomes a bit emotional.

Many people attend events and/or look round big country houses around Christmas time. This shows some renewed respect for the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make what people see look so fabulous.

There’s a heart-warming feeling that’s left when all looks impossible to achieve and yet in a turn of events, someone steps up to try to help.

The second book in the Skye Sisters Trilogy focuses on Esmerelda (Ezzie) Wynter, and it was lovely to be back at Rothach Hall on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Unusually, the owners of the Hall, the Larsson family, are travelling from Sweden for an extended Christmas break at the Hall. Ezzie, as manager, must forgo her plans for a quiet and relaxing Christmas. She has much more work to do than she bargained for. She needs to decorate the Hall, stock up with food and organise activities. The Larsson’s attractive son, Mats, along with his two young children, challenge Ezzie’s ordered life and professional manner. Not only that, Ezzie has to contend with surprise, and not entirely welcome, visitors.

I enjoyed Thea’s story in the first book and Ezzie’s story is just as enjoyable. Sensitive themes, which include complicated family issues and alcohol dependence are explored thoughtfully. Ezzie doesn’t have an easy time of it, having to contend with jealousy, an entitled and obnoxious ex-wife as well as supporting her sisters and dealing with her own personal upheaval. Despite all that there are good times, fun and laughter.

Sue Moorcroft has created a cast of relatable, likeable (bar one or two) and well fleshed out characters, not without their human frailties which makes them all the more believable. Despite the obstacles that made the developing relationship seem impossible, the solution was perfect.

The atmospheric Isle of Skye setting is described vividly and the story has all the festive feels which makes A Skye Full of Stars a perfect read for this time of year.

A gorgeous story set at the fictional Rothach Hall on the beautiful remote island of Skye. Thankfully the Larsson family, owners of the Hall, live in Sweden and only use it for family Summer holidays, so she plans to enjoy Christmas and then throw herself into her new role with plenty of time to get everything back on track before her new employers arrive in the Summer. Of course she has met The Larssons before but Ezzie is keen and a little nervous to show she is capable of her new responsibilities. Excited to get involved in decorating the hall, Ezzies plans are thrown a giant curveball when the Larssons announce they've decided to spend Christmas at the hall and want to experience a traditional Scottish Christmas. What's more Mrs Larsson ,her son Mats and his family are intending on arriving ahead of the rest of the family very soon, and want to meet with her. Ezzie is in a panic and it's not helped when secrets of her past threaten to ruin the life she has built for herself in her lovely cottage on Skye.
The second of a trilogy of stories of the Skye Sisters but the author, I read this as a standalone and it was perfectly okay. I can't wait to read the next one though.

This is the second book book in the Skye Sisters trilogy. I found this to be another wonderful read . It gave me a lot of Christmassy feels . There were some parts that I found quite emotional at times. The characters were all well written about and I especially liked Mats and his two young children. This is the perfect Christmas read and it could easily be read as a stand-alone .

A Skye Full of Stars is the second book in The Skye Sisters Trilogy, and I absolutely devoured and adored the first book Under a Summer Skye, you don’t need to read the first book but you’ll have such a better experience if you do, plus why would you want to miss out on another amazing book ! I love the Isle of Skye, I’ve been there a few times and I can tell you it’s just as beautiful as Sue Moorcroft’s descriptions and recommend anyone who thinks they want to go visit, please do, you won’t regret it at all. The first book focused on Thea and in this book it’s Ezzie’s turn for the spotlight.

I loved that this was set at Winter/Christmas as much as I loved the first Im definitely not a summer person, I love the cooler months and I’m the biggest fan of Christmas. It was such a festive delight, just made me want to grab a throw, sit in front of a warm fire with a hot cocoa and I imagine it will make most readers feel the same! I loved the dual POV asi always find it brings so much more to the story and I loved the arrival of the Larsson family as well as an unexpected visitor for Ezzie. No spoilers from me but if you want to know you’ll have to read for yourself. I can guarantee that A Skye full of Stars , Sue Moorcroft’s 25th book is just as entertaining , as loveable, as addictive as her previous books that you may have read, I am hoping for at least another 25 and I will be here for all of them. Absolutely wonderful festive read and can’t wait for the third book.

A Skye Full of Stars is a lovely slow burn romance; and so much more. The second book in The Skye Sisters Trilogy, I didn't read the first book and had no problems reading this one as a standalone. This is Ezzie Wynter's story. All three of the sisters were adopted and formed a loving family. They lost their adopted parents several years ago, so only have each other. Something happened in the past to cause Thea and Ezzie to flee to the Isle of Skye. Ezzie is now the manager of Rothach Hall. When the Larsson family (matriarch Grete, son Mats and his two children) decide to arrive early for Christmas this year, Ezzie has a lot to organize. Astrid and Alvin, Mats' children are adorable and steal the show. They pull Ezzie out of her comfort zone and bring her into family activities. The more time she spends with the family, the more she and Mats begin to have feelings toward one another.
I really enjoyed this story. I enjoyed learning about Swedish Christmas Celebrations as well as some Scottish ones, especially the food. I really liked the sisters dynamic of loyalty and also quickly cross. Being adopted, there is also a storyline about Ezzie's biological family which really made me think about what makes a family. I enjoyed the festive activities in this story and it definitely gave me that Christmas feel.
