A very interesting story set in 1952 and onwards about her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. This was a very enjoyable story which made the Queen seem very approachable. Loved this one. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
Well written book allowing us a small snippet of life with Queen Elizabeth from her newly appointed reign until later years. Intertwining two great characters Jack and Olive who face over the years complex lives.
Written showing a human side to the Queen as if you knew her personally this was extremely well written and a pleasure to read.
A slow burner of a romance, this was a real "will they, won't they" book which makes it a perfect Christmas read. With a bit of nostalgia thrown in as the story is based around the Queens Christmas Speeches in the 1950s.
I loved this book from the very first page. It’s going to be one of the books I buy as a Christmas gift for friends. The story is an absolute delight and the characters are completely believable. Fabulous read!
