This short publication is full of valuable tips and tricks to get started as a NetGalley reader and reviewer. With engaging graphics and links to additional resources, it is wonderful guide for everything from navigating the site and app to actually writing reviews. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to be a successful reviewer here, and many tips are useful for reviewing on other platforms as well!
Thank you, NetGalley, for providing this excellent resource.

As someone who just joined NetGalley, I’m really glad this little guide exists. It’s got great tips on what you can do to make your profile look better to publishers and even gives you tips on how to approach writing critical reviews, which is always difficult for me. I’ll probably be referencing this guide quite often in my first few months. Thank you for providing this for users!

I found this tool-lot really useful! Gave plenty of tips for having a strong profile, how to review books, and ways to feel more confident as a reviewer. Wish I’d read it sooner!

This is a well laid out guide for NetGalley users, whether you’re new to the site or have been using it a while. I wish I’d had this when starting out! It’s full of helpful tips to improve your NetGalley experience, as well as links to more comprehensive articles.
There’s a guide to using the NetGalley Shelf app, and lots of great tips for improving your profile.
I also now know what the orange pencil next to some of my reviews means (and it’s something really cool!).

This book had a lot of helpful information for how to navigate NetGalley which I really appreciate as a new user. I liked the format of the book. It was quick and easy to read while at the same time providing good information. Definitely recommend to new users.

I really like the layout of NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit. It is visual and easy to read without being overwhelming or too flashy. If all of the NetGalley resource books are similarly laid out, users will gain a lot of knowledge and use from these tools. I used some of the ides when setting up my account initially and can see myself returning to the book for tips periodically even as I gain experience using the platform. With this in mind, I would say this Toolkit is particularly useful for new users with refresher information for the more experienced NetGalley user.

This was fairly helpful. A lot of what is listed here is easily found from a cursory glance at the site, though I suppose it is helpful to have it neatly compiled all in one place, and there were a few things here and there that I hadn't already come across on my own.

is a very useful guide to understanding how the site works and the whole system around it. I suggest the reading to those who are approaching this new world

This is extremely helpful in creating a better reviewer profile, glad that I was able to look through it and will be implementing what it suggests.

10/10 must read book for everyone starting their adventures on NetGalley (like me!).
This book details all features available on NetGalley, even the hidden ones that you might not notice just by exploring the site by yourself. It also teaches you how to give proper reviews and offers you links to articles that dive deeper into certain topics (e.g. definitions of ARC/DRC). As someone who likes to read manual before using a new product, I truly appreciate We Are Bookish for providing this thoughtful guidance book. I love how every page is designed individually (cheerfully I must add!) and every info is presented in a clear and concise manner, Looking forward to reading more books from We Are Bookish, thank you :)

This is a great resource for new reviewers! I love the layout and it’s very easy to interpret. I’ll definitely look back at this from time to time.

This was a very straight forward and informative book. It gives the run down of NetGalley like the nitty gritty like membership types, setting up accounts, feedback ratios, and book requests. It also goes over book reviews tips, how to write them, and even discusses when to DNF. As someone whose only heard of NetGalley and wasn't sure how to actually use it properly this book was really helpful to get me started.

This is a very helpful introduction to NetGalley with plenty of how-tos and resources. There are a lot of great tips for review writing as well.

NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is a concise yet comprehensive guide for NetGalley users, covering everything from setting up a profile to requesting books and understanding publisher expectations.
As a newcomer, I found this book incredibly helpful—it gave me a clear roadmap for my NetGalley journey. The engaging layout and graphics made it a fun read. This guide isn’t just for beginners; even experienced users can benefit. Highly recommended for all NetGalley users!

Helpful insights for new and old members alike! I plan to reference back to this handy little guide to update my profile.

I learned so much from this toolkit! I am updating my profile as soon as I finish typing this review.

Very informative toolkit! Wish I had seen it right when I joined NetGalley. I will look back on this for reference.

I wish I found this book when I first started using NetGalley. It is a wonderful asset when just starting out, or even just needing a refresher.
It provides helpful guides on the interworking's of NetGalley, and I think anyone interested in ARC reading or even using NetGalley should take the time to read this quick toolkit.
I think by reading this toolkit, I will be able to make more cognitive decisions on which books I choose, and how I write my reviews. This toolkit was exceptionally useful! I highly recommend it!
