This was a useful guide to read before reviewing any NetGalley books, it's helpful to have review tips and audio book tips as well as a brief overview of what NetGalley is all about

I've been on NetGalley for two years now and the profile section in this toolkit was really helpful. Since I update my profile every month, I feel like it's gotten away from me. These tips have given me a clearer idea so I can get back to something clear and precise.
Other tips that I would really helpful:
- When you DNF a book, there is a decision chart for how to deal with that on NetGalley
- Review timing! Go ahead and review it on NetGalley immediately. Welcome to post on social media early but reminder to post again on the release date.
- Formula for writing well-rounded reviews.
Thanks to the team at We Are Bookish!

Very helpful information. Thank you to Netgalley for providing this. I keep it on hand for when I need to refer back to it!

✨ Thankyou netgalley for the tips! Especially when I read and then forget what happened🤣
Hopefully you don’t mind for me to screenshot some tips for me to remember.
Again, thankyou!

This is a must-read for all NetGalley newbies! The toolkit breaks down all the NetGalley lingo, strategies for polishing your profile, tips for navigating the site and more. As someone just beginning to explore this wide bookish world, this is invaluable.

Everything you need to know to begin reviewing on NetGalley. This guide is laid out clearly and takes you step by step on how to be a better reviewer and have better odds of being selected. The layout is visually appealing and it’s a quick and easy read. This is one I intend to reference again in a month or so after I have some reviews under my belt. Overall, it’s a succinct guide I wish I would have read prior to beginning to make requests.

I’m not a new user, but I still found informative bits in this toolkit. I appreciated the links to other articles on the site for more in depth explanations. I saved a couple of the articles about working on the backlog of galleys and on finding Read Now options. It was a nice refresher.

This is super helpful and definitely required reading for everyone new to NetGalley! This is a fantastic resource and I'm so grateful NetGalley publishes these toolkits!

Might be the best out of Netgalley’s user guides slash toolkits! Really informative without feeling tedious. I thought I had Netgalley figured out until I read this (and quickly started taking notes).

This Toolkit gives insight on how and where to start reviewing books on NetGalley.
I found this overview super helpful. At first I was unsure where to give my feedback and how exactly to give feedback. Those points are covered in detail AND it’s so beautiful to look at. Reading to Toolkit didn’t feel like reading instructions at all but rather made me more excited to start reviewing!

It has tips on how to navigate NetGalley. The bio samples were particularly useful to me. It's clear about what is expected and how to behave, and it's good to have by your side when creating a review. It also helps quell the posting anxiety.

"NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit" is like having a friendly guide walk you through the maze that is NetGalley, making sure you don’t trip over any of the obstacles on your way to book-reviewing success. If you're a newbie on the platform, this book is your best friend—offering clear, step-by-step instructions on how to request books, write reviews, and generally not get lost in the sea of options.
Now, I’ll be honest, it’s geared more toward beginners, so if you're a seasoned NetGalley user looking for some advanced hacks, this might feel a bit basic. But for someone just starting out? It’s solid gold. It’s practical, easy to understand, and honestly, it feels like someone handed you the manual you didn’t know you needed. Four stars from me—because while it’s great for newcomers, it doesn’t quite offer the deep dive some of us might want. Still, a helpful, no-nonsense guide that’ll have you navigating NetGalley like a pro in no time.

This was really helpful and a wonderful tool. Thank you for the opportunity to read. I’ll be using these tips to hopefully have a higher approval rate.

I appreciate the NetGalley Book Advocate Toolkit! Together we can unite book lovers all around the world!

As a reader/bookstagrammer relatively new to Netgalley, this is the perfect crash-course to inform me with everything I need to know. I didn't know where to start - but this makes all of Netgalley's features super accessible, along with some helpful tips!

This was a very informative and helpful resource for those new to NetGalley. I learnt so much. It was much easier to navigate than trying to do so on the website. Having everything in one place made it much easier. The layout was great including the graphics, such a useful resource.

This is a really insightful look into NetGalley that is full of tips. It has everything you need to get started, from how to navigate, to information to include in your profile. I found this really helpful even though I've been using NetGalley for over a year now!

I never really took the time to review what NetGalley has to offer and I found this toolkit to be very informative! I like how it shows you the different type of reviewers so you can see where you fall. It also gives you tips and tricks to help success when using this app! Thank you for this!

This guide will help you on the in’s and out’s of Netgalley. At first I was just going to skip over it I mean how hard could it be to figure out the platform but it really gave me a sense of what they are and are not looking for in a review and what to do if you dnf a book as well as helpful tricks with the sites and emails! I appreciate Netgalley having this information for us to read.

This guide offers plenty of helpful tips not only for new NetGalley members but also for long-time users. For example, it explains what publishers pay attention to when approving requests or how to write reviews. The links included in the guide are also very useful.
Among other things, I learned that it’s better to update your profile from time to time so publishers can see that you’re active.
So, I highly recommend this guide to all NetGalley members.
