I've always wanted to share my love of books with a community of people, but have never found the right outlet or template for gathering my thoughts. I'm grateful to NetGalley and We Are Bookish for creating such an accessible guide to get me started on my reviewing journey! This toolkit was well laid out and gave clear examples of how to succeed on NetGalley. As someone new to NetGalley, it's nice to have a resource like this to set me up well on the site. Many of the recommendations I was able to implement immediately, and it was a nice introduction to how the site works as well. The embedded links throughout were also helpful to jump to other relevant content that would be helpful specifically to me. I'll definitely keep an eye out for future toolkits, because this one made getting started feel easy and manageable.

This toolkit provided a thorough explanation of how NetGalley works with several helpful links to blog posts. It is essential reading if you’re new to NetGalley. I found the most helpful part was the information on how the feedback ratio is calculated and tips to make sure you don’t tank this number! Wish I had read this first before requesting books! Whoops!

I’ve been on NG for a couple of years so lots of it was known to me but nice to read and have it re-iterated for me and I took a few tips away that I’ll aim to improve in my reviews.

This was really insightful and I found it very helpful, thank you.

The toolkit takes you through the basics of how NetHalley works, and further on to more detailed tips and tricks. It helps give you a good basis for how to leave reviews, to not overdo it on the requests and also taught me that I can get the NetGalley app to read the ebooks aloud.

Very helpful read and one I think all NetGalley users can benefit from reading.

NetGalley's guide sufficiently covered each area I felt was able to get me started - immediately after finishing browsing through, I made several updates to my profile; having a much better idea of what it should look like there. My only real note would be that the guiding screenshots appear to be of a previous edition of the site. Or, in some other way, do not match how my screen looks when visiting. It's not a huge effect: the information and proper menu titles are all still present; it was simply notably distracting.

This is an extremely helpful guide that has everything you need to know on how to navigate the site, the process of getting Arc's and how to tailor your profile to attract publishing companies. Highly recommended for all those new to Netgalley.
