I loved this guide so much! It’s a perfect introduction into the bookstagram world. I say bookstagram just because that’s what I most prefer for connecting with authors. But really it’s great insight into the world of book reviewing and hyping up authors.

This Toolkit helped me know where to start when browsing and requesting titles, and it provided clear guidance for structure and content in a good review. I am a new reviewer on NetGalley, so this Toolkit gave a good insight into the norms of this platform. The format and aesthetic were easy to read and kept me engaged, especially with the many helpful tips sprinkled throughout. I found this to be an easy and informative read! While I also went through the Social Media Handbook, I noticed some overlapping information, especially regarding writing reviews. However, the Toolkit really helped familiarize me with NetGalley itself and provided some valuable tips that I wasn't aware of before. If you’re looking to find out more on how NetGalley works then this is for you! I found that I knew most of the information going into it, but it's perfect for those new to book advocacy and wanting a guide to the site.

Gah lee! Where was this when I first joined??? When I first downloaded the app, I was so confused. My shelves were blank and I did not understand how to get books but I read the instructions but I did not find any helpful info until one night I went to to my web browser and typed netgalley there. It took a while to figure out on my own and I am glad I stuck with it because now I am obsessed. Anyway, the toolkit is so helpful and well put together. I just wish I had it sooner.

I really like this Book Advocate Toolkit. Everything that is important and helpful is located here to help anyone beginning to use to NetGalley. Also, the information is detailed enough for a beginner influencer and it even allows a more advancing influencer to good back and revisit helpful tips and resources they can improve upon whenever they feel needed. This is a great way to learn the benefits of both NetGalley and begin a journey to influencing.

The organization of the toolkit is so nice. Instead of having to go through and attempt to locate a specific page of information, the table of contents make is very simple and link to sections where the reader wants to be. The pages are simplistic and have wording that is easy to understand along with additional tips and resource links that are so nice to have here. The basics are good, but having those extra tips and links really allow the influencer to retrieve more guidance need in a particular area.

The length of the toolkit is a little daunting when first going through it. It might be nice to have smaller book toolkits with very specific information. For example, a toolkit book focused solely on video creating, editing and the best posting strategies but in much more detail.

Once agin, I think this toolkit is very useful. I like the revised version very much and I would suggest anyone beginning out should read through this book for guidance.
