I really appreciated this handbook. It provided some useful information about Netgalley and how to receive more books for review. Although this was kind of like the information provided when I signed up, I feel like this book went into more depth and detail, and provided some useful strategies for being selective about books.

NetGalley's NEW AND UPDATED "Book Advocate Toolkit" is a wonderful and helpful toolkit for reviewers containing a wealth of information! I really loved when the first version of this was released and this version is even more userfriendly, simplistic, & benefifical to a wide audience looking to get onto the Netgalley and Bookish platforms. The text was simplistic, easy to read and understand, various links and suggestions, and a great way to obtain best practices! I found the guide to be very helpful with tips, suggestions, and links to various references! It was a great read for newer reviewers and had great tips for those more tenured reviewers.

As a NetGalley newbie, this little toolkit was very helpful! I loved the section on review tips and the example review as well as the overall design of the PDF.

I think this is a very useful guide, particularly for folks who are new to NetGalley.

I've been using NetGalley since 2016, so there isn't much left for me to learn, but I still enjoyed reading this guide and found it interesting. I even clicked through a few of the links to gather more information about certain interesting topics.

I appreciate the staff at NetGalley creating this guide and keeping it up-to-date (I understand this is an updated edition, although I didn't read the earlier edition).

This toolkit pretty much breaks it down one step at a time for a well balanced Netgalley account with management. It had information on profile, how to reviews, and how to manage requests. I think even a seasoned netgalley member would appreciate this toolkit with refreshers and tips.

A great little refresher course for oldies and for new reviewers lots of helpful hints. The graphics and explanations are very helpful. I also like the different type of reviewers. I’m an educator and I signed up as a reviewer, not knowing the different categories. It does have it perks but also some downfalls. Some publishers will only allow “wish for it” and not request for their books. This makes me sad as I am an educator, but also read for myself
