This is my first time participating in an activity like this with Netgalley. I'm excited! I can't wait to see more about the social/community features.

This seems like a really fun event! The welcome packet was very well designed and formulated and I’m excited for the rest of the camp.

Camp NetGalley packet is a fun guide to summer reading. I think the activities (Bingo, Talent Show, Scavenger Hunt) are a nice way to engage the NetGalley community. The Bingo card is really great as I think it will give new members or those in a reading slump, a creative way to find different types of books to read.

This was a great idea and fun. I loved the packet and the activities. The packets was very straightforward and the activities were fun. Let’s do it again!

The tips on engaging with publishers and authors are particularly useful, providing guidance on how to build meaningful relationships within the book industry.
The Welcome Packet also includes helpful visuals and checklists, which are great for quick reference. The inclusion of sample reviews and templates is a nice touch, offering concrete examples of effective book reviews. This is especially beneficial for new reviewers who may be unsure of how to structure their feedback.

This is a well thought out way to make summer reading fun! The only future suggestions that I have are reminders for activities and incorporating ways for group interaction to foster community instead of just solo activities.

Slightly confusing to navigate but I'm figuring it out and excited to participate!! Thanks Netgalley for making fun events like this for us readers to participate in.

Camp NetGalley is such a cute idea to make reading and reading goals fun again! There are little activities that can be shared on Instagram to make it interactive and Bingo is always a good time! Thank you NetGalley for this fun summer resource.

To be honest I am still unsure as to what this is about. The welcome packet did not explain it clearly, or maybe I was expecting something more. Regardless, I am still excited to see what is going on and I will also follow others who are also joining this Camp NetGalley!

Thank you for the great ideas in the Camp Netgalley packet. I appreciate the time and effort that went into making this.

this book was downloaded from NetGalley for summer fun!!!!
let's hope I can get everything done!!!!

Camp NetGalley is such a great idea! It makes reading goals fun. I love the bingo and the other activities being shared on Instagram. The bingo helps new users, such as myself, explore the different features of NetGalley. Thank you NetGalley for this useful resource.

Review for American Rapture by CJ Leede:
This book gutted me.
It was such a beautifully, tragic story. It was so easy to root for and get attached to the main characters. I especially enjoyed the growth of Sophie among so much destruction - she deserves all the good things. I also enjoyed that the book had background before the chaos started that you were able to get a good understanding of Sophie and her upbringing going into everything. I'm still sitting with the ending so I'll probably update my feelings on that once I figure them out.
This book is filled with so much loss and so much hope and I will definitely be buying a copy and doing a reread once it's published.

Thanks for creating this packet! This is a great way to help readers out of reading slump and find new ways to engage with books.

I always read a lot over the summer because work tends to slow down but I love having this additional challenge / way to keep track of books. I hope they do one for the fall and winter because a couple of my friends are doing this one too and it’s so much fun comparing how we’re doing.

I'm really enjoying all of the challenges to come from this pack! An excellent way to keep me motivated with my reading over the summer months and a good way to help boost social media presence for those of us with a smaller platform :D
Looking forward to taking part in the activities throughout the month.

Camp NetGalley offers a unique and engaging series of activities for book enthusiasts throughout the month of July. Designed to be enjoyed from the comfort of your home, the event unfolds over five weeks, each with its own themed activity.
While I appreciate the convenience and flexibility of participating in this online event, I feel that some of the activities could benefit from a more social aspect. For instance, Week 1's bingo and Week 2's sticker downloads are enjoyable, but they are primarily solo activities. Introducing more interactive elements, such as group discussions, virtual meet-ups, or collaborative challenges, would enhance the sense of community and make the event even more engaging.
Despite this, I found the overall structure of Camp NetGalley to be well thought out and varied. The scavenger hunt in Week 3 adds a fun and dynamic twist, encouraging participants to actively engage with NetGalley's social channels. The revamped Book Advocate Toolkit in Week 4 is a valuable resource for readers looking to improve their book advocacy skills. Lastly, the Talent Show in Week 5 provides a creative outlet for participants to showcase their talents and earn a badge, adding a sense of achievement to the experience.
In summary, Camp NetGalley is a delightful event that offers a mix of activities to keep book lovers entertained throughout July. While the event could benefit from more interactive and social components, it remains a fun and engaging way to connect with the NetGalley community and enjoy a variety of book-related activities.
Here are some events that I feel like NetGalley would benefit for next year's event!
1. Virtual Campfire Kickoff: Host a live virtual campfire session with authors, book influencers, and NetGalley staff. Participants can join via video chat to discuss their favorite books, share stories, and ask questions.|
2. Collaborative Reading Sessions: Organize live reading sessions where participants can read and discuss a selected book together in real-time.
3. Camp NetGalley Book Club: Launch a Camp NetGalley Book Club with a different book for each week. Host weekly discussions and activities related to the book.
4. Writing Workshops: Offer writing workshops led by authors and writing coaches, focusing on different aspects of writing and book reviewing. Organize a short story or review contest.
5. Camp NetGalley Talent Show: Encourage participants to showcase their talents related to books, such as book-themed art, cosplay, or dramatic readings. Host a live virtual talent show where participants can perform and the audience can vote for their favorites. Provide prizes for the top talents.
6. Daily Social Media Challenges: Post daily prompts on NetGalley's social media channels encouraging participants to share their bookish photos, videos, or thoughts using a specific hashtag. This increases engagement and builds a sense of community.
7. Buddy Reading Program: Pair participants with a reading buddy for the duration of the camp. Buddies can discuss their reads, share reviews, and support each other.
8. Interactive Workshops: Host virtual workshops on topics such as bookbinding, creating bookish crafts, or designing book covers. These can be led by experts and provide hands-on learning experiences.
9. Author Meet-and-Greets: Schedule live virtual meet-and-greets with authors of featured books. Participants can ask questions, learn about the writing process, and get personalized recommendations.
10. Reading Challenges with Milestones: Create a reading challenge with specific milestones and rewards for participants who reach them. This can include badges, exclusive content, or entries into a prize drawing.
These are all great ways to not only increase engagement, but also show off NetGalley to more individuals! This would be so fun to do, especially with Indie authors! <3
** Attached to this review is my favorite and best quality review I have ever done :) **

What a fun idea! Loved the Bingo list and plan to find books for all the prompts! Looking forward to the rest of the summer camp activities like creating Mt banner with the reading journal stickers!
Some suggestions for next year would be book mark printables or something similar, and social media post prompts that we could post each week.
