This is so fun! I think in the future, it would be great if there could be more instagram templates and a way for you to share them with participants other than through the PDF (it's difficult to get them into instagram from here). In addition, I think more information should be provided about the books from the Camp NetGalley sponsors. This is mentioned in the email but not the welcome packet, so it's easily overlooked. I think a book-club/read-a-long type event could be great in the future as well. Overall this is so fun and it's nice to see everyone participating and sharing.
Cute idea. Not nearly as good as the NetGalley Reading Journal this year. This Camp Netgalley workbook didn’t really make it clear to me how to participate in the weeks except for the talent show. But also, it doesn’t seem to have a real prize. Like yay, a badge. Nothing bad about a badge. But it would be cool to get a book…even a free book download or approval. I don’t know. After reading it, it just doesn’t seem like something I want to participate in this summer. I like the bingo from the reading journal, so I’ll keep up with that.
This is such a fun and interactive event! I love that Netgalley chooses to give opportunities for members to connect with each other and others over our favorite things— books! I think a potential idea that could further this next year would be some take on “summer reading.” While getting all of us to read the same book would be too difficult, maybe we could break into groups based on genre, and Netgalley could provide some kind of chat rooms, discord channels, or online dashboards for us all to directly discuss. Something in the vein of offering direct conversation with fellow readers would be so fun! Thanks to the Netgalley team for all you do!
Interesting enough but way too much for me to do for this one. Maybe another time when I am able to sfocus and do the best job possible.
This is my first Camp Net Galley, and I am looking forward to it! I’m submitting my review with a link here. Happy reading everyone :)!
I'm looking forward to Camp Netgalley. It's a great idea and I hope to spend lots of time with this fun activity.
Im really looking forward to having the fun challenges as a way to keep up with my summer reading goals.
I wasn't aware this is something I had ti give feedback for. I guess it gave me the information I wanted?
Well #Netgalley has hundreds of Bookstagramers talking about Camp Netgalley in our chatgroups. It is almost like we live for stickers (it is always the best part of a PR package in my opinion)! Bingo? Sign me up and I am sold.; it is the perfect way to focus on what book to read next to satisfy a prompt. There are many types of bingo cards, maybe next year Reviewers could sign up to be assigned to teams to win prizes ( what else ..signed books or bookish merch! Daisy chains with more detailed prompts are fun too; (turn to page 50 in book 2 and a noun or adjective from that page must be in the title of book 3) Book 4 must be a different genre from book 3 , and do this as a readathon as a timed reading for the teams.
I think the packet should have more direction too; for example, the review for the talent show should be a current review of a book released in 2024 , or book must be a summer release in the month of July 2024 .
I think the stickers should be like Girlscout badges ; a vest graphic with the holes for each badge would make it an authentic camp experience.
This is a great idea for Reviewers to come together and have fun time., maybe one day this could be an in-person experience, like a book convention. I know so many would pay to go!
I love this idea!
It encourages and engages readers in challenges, and who doesn't love a good challenge? The concept is innovative and stimulating, providing a fun and interactive way for readers to immerse themselves in the content. By incorporating challenges, it adds an element of excitement and motivation, making the reading experience more dynamic and enjoyable. This approach not only captivates the audience but also fosters a sense of achievement and progress as readers complete each challenge.
What a clever idea to get everyone reading! This is so exciting and I'm looking forward to getting into all the activities to come this month!
A summer camp is such a cool idea. This is my first time participating and I'm really looking forward to it!
Love Camp NetGalley! It's a great opportunity to earn a new badge for my profile and engage in some fun activities this summer! :)
NetGalley makes reviewing and finding new books easy. I would like to see them outline how to get better approval chances on more popular books and have a pool that gives a bit more equity on the audiobooks and eARCs from the trad pub houses.
What could be fun is to try to connect readers in a read along for the camp next year.

I love any and all opportunities to gamify my reading! Please do more like this please! More more more!
I’m a fairly new reviewer on Net Galley, so this is my first experience with Camp Net Galley. What a fun idea for book lovers over the summer to inspire more reading and reviews! I love the Bingo card and the stickers to earn! I’m searching through my reviews for my best to submit for the Talent Show. I definitely want the new Camp badge! Looking forward to the weekly activities listed in social media. I’m definitely packing my fav tote, kindle, snacks, and my sunglasses/sunscreen in preparation for Camp!!
I’m loving this so far but I haven’t been able to download the bingo. So I haven’t participated in that. I do think this is a very fun and enjoyable event to be a part of though!
I like this idea! I don't have a lot of time this year to focus on something like this but hopefully it happens again next year. I'm particularly interested in the Camp NetGalley bingo. I've never done that before. Since NetGalley blew open my reading habits, there's something fitting about a NetGalley bingo being my first attempt.
I love this idea, the graphics are cute and I am looking forward to participate in the bingo. Summer is going to be a great reading time for me with being off work. There will be lots of reading outside on the swing and hoping to make some more bookish content and get my reviews up.
Cheers for the fun activities NetGalley, can't wait for more fun things to come.
What a fun and cute idea to have a little camp guide for book reviewing! I hope to participate!!
Thank you for this opportunity, NetGalley!
